5 out of 5 eggsNeat little remote

Pros: Very easy to operate. Batteries seem to last forever. the mouse roller is precise.

Cons: Keys are kinda small for my fat fingers. No F functions

Other Thoughts: I use this on a computer connected to my main TV and the more I use it the more natural it feels. Took a little getting use to, but now I really like it.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat remote!

Pros: I always see these cute little things when I go to Fry's. I thought I'd pick one up for my HTPC.
* Almost full keyboard
* QWERTY layout
* Can press multiple keys for combos (alt + tab, ctrl + alt + esc, etc...)

Cons: * No function keys (F1-F12)
* A few keys that seem out of place / unnecessary ("My Computer" key, dedicated ctrl+alt+delete key)
* Keys feel kinda flimsy, and it's easy to fat-finger the wrong key

Other Thoughts: The trackball might seem slow and shaky at first, but you can compensate for this to an extent in the mouse settings

The USB wireless adapter is hidden in the battery compartment, it's not packaged separately in the box.

5 out of 5 eggsLove it! Best mini mouse/keyboard ever!

Pros: Compact, light, ease of use, great range.

Cons: It is not back-lit (SEE BELOW)

Other Thoughts: I love this device it is perfect remote for the living room and bedroom where I have computers connected to my tv's. I just found out that these are now made with back-lit keyboards. I will be buying two more!

5 out of 5 eggsExactly what I wanted

Pros: Small, Light, Functional

Cons: Build Quality

Other Thoughts: It's exactly what I wanted.

I Plugged it in and it worked right away. It's small, fits in your hand and you can use it to control a media center.

I'm not going to use it as my main input device, but for when I'm streaming shows on my media center, or playing music, it is perfect.

The range is much better than the wireless keyboard I was using. That wouldn't even reach from the media center to the couch. This has decent range and won't take up very much space on the end table.

2 out of 5 eggsDisappointed

Pros: small, wireless, looks cool

Cons: feels cheap. trackball is a joke, keyboard is not backlit so hard to see, left and right click buttons are impossible to get used to.

Other Thoughts: i hardly ever write reviews and typically buy without giving much thought to other peoples reviews. if it looks good.. ill buy it. mistake in this case. it really feels cheap, its very difficult to use, and I wish i never bought it. please save your money.

4 out of 5 eggsVery good, but not perfect.

Pros: - Compact yet easy to use keyboard (big enough that it's easy to type.)
- Looks nice.
- Good range, can easily stand 15-20 feet away from my HTPC and it works fine.
- No problem with trackball precision, can easily close windows, hit links, etc.

Cons: - Misses typing sometimes, especially if you type very fast with it.
- Cursor skips sometimes during harddrive activity (even when a normal mouse would be functioning smoothly.)
- Have to reach over trackball to left click.

Other Thoughts: The biggest problem with this product is that it sometimes misses typing and sometimes the cursor will skip when using the trackball. You know how it feels when your harddrive is clocking? (text buffers, cursor freezes and then catches up) It's very similar to that, the cursor acts exactly the same way, text though is just lost instead of buffering.
This issue seems to occur only during moderate to heavy harddrive activity from what I've observed, so it seems like maybe it's just sensitive to system resource availability. And this issue doesn't make the product unusable by any means, it's more just a minor annoyance.

Overall I'm happy with it. Not for tons of typing docs or for things that require fast and precise mouse movement, but as HTPC remotes go I'd say it more than gets the job done.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: worked great right out of the box the track ball is a little touchy. I use this item with my tv for viewing net flix and it works great alwoes for all the interface in a handheld unit

Cons: no scroll wheel

Other Thoughts: if they were to rotate the keyboard 180 degrees and flip the right and left clik button i think it would make this item even better. and the addition of a scroll wheel would be nice also

3 out of 5 eggsVery Disappointing - Don't underestimate poor execution of clever design.

Pros: Concept is great (if not the execution). No-brainer install, up in running in just a minute or so. Decent RF range through walls. Looks cool. The keyboard works well enough.

Cons: As I said, it's the execution, not the concept that is bad here. The thing is very cheaply built. Not “it feels like it’s gonna break” cheap, but the track ball feels as lightweight as balled-up suran-wrap and breathing on it, merely vibrating your hand too much, or g*d-forbid trying to use the buttons makes the cursor move position, especially when and where you don’t wish it to. Which brings up its second huge flaw: the placement of the buttons in relation to the easily fudged trackball makes it almost impossible to use effectively with just one hand. With one hand you can really only hold it one way, so once you use the trackball to move the cursor where you want with your thumb. You then have to reach over the trackball with the same thumb (being careful not to vibrate the device or think impure thoughts about it as it WILL move the cursor out of place) to push the button… too late, the cursor has already moved, try again. A mouse on my thigh would be easier to use than this.

Other Thoughts: You get what you pay for here (which is not much). Buy a wireless keyboard with built-in trackball instead. You'll be using two hands on this anyway. I've used dozens of wireless pointers & trackballs for presentations and the accuacy of this one ranks near the bottom imho. I knew this didn't have a backlight when I bought it, so I won't complain about that. However, the keyboard is lacking in tactile features (small, near identically sized keys give little tactile feedback)... which means backlighting really is necessary to use in the dark.

4 out of 5 eggsHappy So Far

Pros: Easy to connect, simple to use, a very useful tool. I haven't tested the range yet but i'm looking forward to put it through its paces.

Cons: No backlight but if you know where the keys are you can do without.

Other Thoughts: I've noticed that once in a while the mouse trackball will glitch if you try to use it fast.
