4 out of 5 eggsGAMDIAS Ares

Pros: Bought this keyboard for $21, very worth the money in my opinion. Mainly bought it for the lighting. It has several features for gaming, like macro keys and consecutive attack mode. It also has neat design features, including the detachable magnetic wrist-rest which also doubles as a keyboard cover when not in use. I also like the groves on the bottom which allow for extra cable management.

Cons: The only con for my keyboard is that the logo and the bottom six macro keys on my board do not illuminate.

Other Thoughts: Good keyboard for the price. However, you may receive a slightly faulty keyboard like I did.

2 out of 5 eggsNice Keyboard.... when it works

Pros: It has a nice feel and the hand rest that comes with the keyboard is comfortable. The LEDs are able to change color and are visible under direct light.

Cons: This keyboard only lasted me about 2 months. What killed it? The software that comes with it. Ever since the first day I purchased this keyboard for $30.00 I have had issues. It was cheap and it felt nice when I used it.... However there was a crippling issue. After using it for a day keys started to make multiple entries. Here's what what happen when I would type:

hhhiii hhoowww aaaarrrrreeee yyyyyoooouuuu????

So I thought it was a sticky key issue. Nope. It was the software. Each time I had this issue the only solution was to change the profile in the software. Eventually I ran out of profiles and they had this error. There is no fix. Gamdias didn't understand what I was telling them and they have no easy way to contact them about issues. Downloading a new version of the software didn't work, Uninstalling the software didn't work and uninstalling the keyboard and reinstalling it didn't work. The issue literally cripples an otherwise amazing keyboard. If I can manage to fix this issue then I might give a higher review.

Other Thoughts: Do not get this keyboard. It looks cool... but don't do it. I regret it.

3 out of 5 eggsJust "okay"

Pros: -It's really really cheap
-Feels well constructed
-Macro buttons along the bottom seem like they'd get in the way when pushing the spacebar but they don't.

Cons: Probably the only reason anyone is buying this keyboard is for the RGB lighting and that's this keyboards biggest flaw. The back light is dim, even when cranked all the way up. On top of that, all you can do is change the color of the light on the keys, you can't implement any kind of lighting effects aside from one that's built into the software which just ever so slowly cycles the background color. The macro keys and logo along the bottom are backlit yellow and this cannot be changed what so ever. Also while writing this review I was tinkering with the software changing the colors and I noticed that there seems to be a bias towards the colors blue and green. When I crank up red green and blue all the way, I should get pure white but what I get instead is a very pale blue.

Other Thoughts: If you just want an RGB backlit keyboard and don't want to spend a bucket of money on a mechanical board, this isn't a bad option for the price. That being said, you get what you pay for and what you get is hardly impressive.

Cons: Spacebar rattles when pressed hard enough.

5 out of 5 eggsSurpass Expectations

Pros: - Presentation as nice
- Wire is durable and not cheaply made
- Mouse has many ways to form fit your hand
- Price
- Graphic interface software (This software allows you to set macros, hot-button tracking. Its so in-depth with its over the top program-ability the detail rivals that of Logitech with half of the cost.)

Cons: - Exe start up file instead of having to unzip. However thats really nit picking it.
- T keys sometimes get in your way depending on where you rest your wrists on the keyboard.

Other Thoughts: Really unexpected quality from such a low price point. Its software is advanced so will take some getting use to but everything you need is there.

3 out of 5 eggslights up real good, looks cool

Pros: Nice at 1/2 price with a free mouse keys, are nice

Cons: You better have a lot of room it total of 12h x 19w because the wrist rest is gigantic and without it the 6 keys below space bar are in your way they rub the bottom of your palms close to your wrist. I guess I can try to get wrist rest.

Other Thoughts: You sometimes wonder why something is such a good deal this is one of them.

2 out of 5 eggsUseless software

Pros: Looks good and feels comfortable. Back lit lighting is awesome for playing games/typing at night with lights off... if only it would work

Cons: My computer recognizes the keyboard but the software doesn't find it and it wont type. its recognized as a mouse in my computer and when i have it plugged in with my gamdias mouse it says 2 identical devices plugged in. no help when i contacted Gamdias either. just go for a different keyboard although i'm sure i was just unlucky

1 out of 5 eggsDid not work

Pros: None

Cons: It worked for long enough for me to install the support software, at which time it stopped working and could not be rescued. Sent it back and hopefully never have to see it again.
