2 out of 5 eggsInconsistent keys and weird issues at Windows start

Pros: - Nice build and weight
- Good illumination
- Good for gaming

Cons: - Very inconsistent key presses
- repeats keys really bad at Windows login
- Awful for typing

Other Thoughts: I thought at first the touchy keys was just me. This is my first mechanical keyboard. But after a few months I still have MAJOR issues with mistyping, especially with passwords. These keys have ZERO tactical click to indicate when a key has been pressed. It is very audible, but that is useless when a key can be pressed with the absolute lightest of touches that cause no sound at all. I should have sent this back when I had the chance. I'm only giving it 2 eggs because its not the worst keyboard I've ever used. Its decent for gaming, but awful for typing. I'm a slow typist, and this keyboard has made it even worse.

1 out of 5 eggsNot a product to buy...total failure after 4 months, no customer support..

Pros: Keyboard kinda worked

Cons: Keyboard did repeat quite often, but the touch was nice, The big problem is it failed after 4 months. Support was contacted, then I tried to get a return authorization, there was no more communication from Gamdias, unable to send keyboard in for repair.

Other Thoughts: If you want a mechanical keyboard, look somewhere else.

2 out of 5 eggsDecent keyboard, especially at the price point. Do not use in cold environments.

Pros: -The lighting is very good, I like the preset adjustable levels.
- Good size and weight

Cons: -It is far too easy to initiate a key press, especially spacebar. There is no indicator when a key is pressed so I would randomly enter spaces just from resting my thumbs on the spacebar, and add in random letters if my fingers strayed from directly over the intended key ever so slightly.
-Main problem with this keyboard is that when it gets below about 65 degrees it is absolutely unusable. I turn my heat down to 60 when I leave the house. If I attempt to use the keyboard at that ambient temperature it will not respond to most button presses, then randomly a button will stick until I can get a different key to respond. I literally put it by the stove when I get home to warm it up.

2 out of 5 eggsIf you're looking for feedback from a mechanical, this is not the keyboard for you.

Pros: Solid build +1
Nice lighting +1

Cons: No feedback on button presses, some keys trigger with a very light touch while others need fully compressed and there is no "click" or switch. The inconsistencies made it very irritating to use in about every application.

Other Thoughts: I would not recommend purchasing this product.

1 out of 5 eggsLasted 8 days

Pros: Not has heavy as most other mechanical keyboards. Decent keyboard feel.

Cons: Too many symbols on some of the keys. Lasted 8 days before it completely stopped functioning. Company support is the worst I've ever seen. There is absolutely nothing on the box, in the included paperwork, or on the website that tells you how to get support for Gamdias products! No phone number, no e-mail, not even a form on the website.

Other Thoughts: Bought this for my son for Christmas. Stopped working on Jan 2. Windows recognizes the keyboard, but keypresses don't register. There is a Fn+F11 key sequence to lock the keyboard, but it isn't locked. I was able to download the HERA software and update the firmware from v1.00 to v1.02 but after it was done and I unplugged/plugged the keyboard, the keys still don't work. The backlights all work but the keys themselves don't. The lights for the Num Lock, Scroll Lock, and Caps Lock keys are off and don't toggle when pressing the keys. I tried it in 3 different computers with Window 7, Window 8, and Windows 10 and get no response from pressing any keys.

Support is almost non-existant from this company. No e-mail, no phone, no web-based support. The box has an address in Taiwan, and the website has the addresses/phone of their 3 branch offices (China, Taiwan, and USA). I called the USA number and I was able to get through the corporate headquarters menus to the voicemail of some type of customer service, but it's not even clear it's for consumers, and I don't have time to play phone tag with them. This dud is going back to Newegg under their Extended Holiday Return Policy.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Value

Pros: adjustable backlight
mechanical switches
low price

Cons: USB connector - I'd prefer PS/2

Other Thoughts: This is a very sensitive keyboard. I hit stray keys all the the time because of my flagrant typing style. But for gaming, at least in my head, it's choice. I got it on sale for under $50 and feel that's a decent value. I can't bring myself to buy a K70 or similar $100+keyboard. It's a keyboard. It feels well put together and it better for 2x the cost of a decent non-mechanical keyboard.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Mechanical Keyboard

Pros: Affordable, High Quality, Responsive, Bright Backlight

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: The red switches take some getting used to, but they work very well. The keyboard has some weight to it making it feel like a more expensive keyboard. The backlight is able to get very bright when turned up all the way.

4 out of 5 eggsIt's a pretty good keyboard, especially considering price.

Pros: You get that solid clicking and clacking that a mechanical keyboard should have. It's also back-lit to red, which is always nice. Has a nice weight to it. Nothing feels cheap or shoddy. Every key responds with equal pressure and it feels like an overall quality product.

Cons: The keys are a bit down-push sensitive, which can be annoying. Even the slightest drag of your finger across a key can set it off, so you learn to be pretty careful. Only costs it 1 egg though.

Other Thoughts: Overall, considering the price, it's a wonderful mechanical keyboard. That being said, if you can spend more on another keyboard of higher quality, I would recommend it.
