Pros: The choice for Kailh Blue switches is an excellent alternative to Cherry... Cherry has been behind in fulfillment orders for OEM manufacturers (from my understanding), and if you have to choose a switch that isn't Cherry, I think Kailh is the way to go, much like Razer and their newer green switch, which if you didnt know...surprise! It's a Kailh switch. Good choice Gamdias.

The durable design, and over all feel of the Hermes RGB is impressive. I am sure there would be a lot of reluctant buyers, unfamiliar with the Gamdias brand, that may hesitate at the price, but I ultimately feel they would not be at all disappointed.

Cons: Some downsides that still need revision is the GUI 'HERA' which is back to crashing on occasion. I would also prefer HERA to run at start up as an option, instead of the 'Run Once' executable it still is. HERA has come a long ways, but I keep watching and hoping for some crucial changes to make it that something more.

Some changes they made to simplify this keyboard in design, and eliminate button bloat by removing macro keys more commonly found on some of the other keyboards left me slightly disappointed. While the additional macro keys being removed was not heart breaking, the lack/removal/loss of the USB pass through was a letdown. Its a strong design utility that can set one keyboard apart from another, and I hope Gamdias decides to re-implement this feature in future keyboard in the Hermes line.

Other Thoughts: Gamdias provided this keyboard for me to try, review, and asked for honest opinion on. I can honestly say I am impressed with the overall everything of this mechanical keyboard.

RGB keyboards are beginning to bloat the market, the differences between them are often found in the UI support, the switches used, and the fun features made available. This keyboard doesn't escape all of my criticism but very much has my fingers hearts as an excellent alternative to the main stream more well known brands.
