1 out of 5 eggsGreat keyboard, for a while

Pros: PS/2 interface (less latency and more simultaneous presses than USB). Audio ports and USB ports integrated into keyboard, the former is VERY handy for swapping between if you sometimes use headphones, sometimes don't. Responsive, and no ghosting whatsoever.

Cons: Cheap key caps, sub-par customer service. Non-conventional layout makes it impossible to get replacement keys from third party vendors (space bar is different size, Enter key is different, backspace is smaller).

Other Thoughts: They key caps have lettering that wears off very quickly. That's not a huge deal, but they're not well constructed, so under normal use, they also will crack.

Contacted service, and after some time, did get 10 replacement key caps sent to me.

Later, space bar had problems, so submitted another ticket. Instead of sending a replacement space bar, they issued an RMA. After sending my keyboard back, got a cheap, non-mechanical replacement from SteelSeries. Was told that under the RMA conditions, a comparable replacement is done if the keyboard in question is not in stock. A non-mechanical keyboard is in no way comparable to the 7G.

2 out of 5 eggsDo not purchase - Get something more reliable.

Pros: Great hand rest

Cons: Bright LED's - Paint rubs off keys - Switches died a little over a year in.

Other Thoughts: For a product I dropped 150 bucks on I feel robbed.

3 out of 5 eggsGood and bad.

Pros: - Durable
- Easy to clean
- Multiple key processing
- Audio ports help along with USB ports
- Would recommend to a friend perhaps...

Cons: - After nearly a year of us, three days before the warranty I finally made the slip up like everyone does and dropped the keyboard, it fell about 2 feet and now the Numpad 4 key makes a rather loud noise and Numpad 3 key just stopped working.
- Sending in for a RMA

Other Thoughts: Kind of weird how the keyboard breaks after only a small fall when I had a older keyboard that fell around 20-30 times before this and still works perfectly fine as 6 years old and only was $90.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Hand rest is perfect

Cons: LED's on keyboard are blindingly bright
Switches starting dying a YEAR on the dot. Oh well so much for a replacement.
Paint rubs off keys very easily. If i wanted unmarked keys I would have just bought a DAS

1 out of 5 eggs? Doesn't work.

Pros: Looks nice

Cons: Doesn't work, Tried on 4 different computers and it would do nothing on any of them. It would say the device is working and it detects it but no lights turn on and not 1 key works. Clueless what to do now. Back to the old logitech g15 for now I guess.

1 out of 5 eggsCheap

Pros: Works well with Steelseries headsets.

Cons: Three keys went out right after the year warranty was up. Problems with their headsets as well. Cheaply made products. Worthless after warranty.

4 out of 5 eggsAlmost Perfect

Pros: This is my first mechanical keyboard and I love it. Typing on cherry black switches is extremely satisfying and this is one of the few mechanical keyboards with a generous ramp. My weak fingers took a few days of getting used to the stiffer cherry black keys. The PS2 cable is great, and I like that they moved the windows key. It's weighty and well made.

Cons: I must stress that this keyboard is almost perfect. It really should be 4.5 stars, and these are my minor preferences.
The small delete key is somewhat hard to hit, and you can't replace the uncommon return key.
The lettering on the keys is raised and sometimes confuses the fingers looking for the position nubs found on the F and J keys.
The indicator lights for numpad, caps, and scroll lock, are overly bright and mildly annoying.

Other Thoughts: This is a problem with all mechanical keyboards; they are loud, so I bought O-rings that soften the bottoming out and dampen the sound.
This keyboard would be perfect if you could change the LED color/brightness, the delete and return keys were standard sizes, and lettering was either laser engraved or etched.

3 out of 5 eggsFeels good, doesn't work though.

Pros: Feels great, solid heavy-weight construction, windows key is replaced by another modifier key, usb audio and mic ports

Cons: Keyboard arrived with almost all keys not functioning properly or at all. Funny enough, WASD worked though.
Wrist support is flimsy hollow plastic - I was expecting something as solid as the keyboard itself..
Caps lock, scroll lock and num lock LEDs are bright as hell
No backlit keys (if you care about that sort of thing)
Without wrist support the keyboard stands pretty tall and isn't particularly comfortable to use.

Other Thoughts: 3 stars because the one I received is broken. I've contacted SS support so hopefully the issue will be resolved. I'm irritated but really like the feel of the keyboard, so hopefully I'll get a working one sooner than later.
I've spent a decent amount of time feeling the keyboard and getting an idea of how it would be to actually use. The key presses are very smooth, a little click clacky, but feel really nice to me. I'm disappointed the wrist support is just hollow plastic, it does its job, but I was hoping for something more solid. I expected the keyboard to drop into the wrist support, but instead the wrist support just lays over and around it. Disappointing, but whatever.

4 out of 5 eggsFantastic piece of hardware

Pros: Sturdy
Minimalist Look (If you prefer it, which I do)
Has stood the test of time
Amazing keystrokes
PS/2 Port
USB/Audio ports
Thick, braided wiring

Cons: Hand wrest just lays over the keyboard, does not clip to it
Cannot charge things through the USB ports
The Windows key is on the right side of the keyboard

Other Thoughts: Let me sum it up IMO: If you're an FPS player, this is the best keyboard out there. I have played in several high level competitions for games such as Quake, UT, CoD, etc. and can tell you undoubtedly that this will change your gaming experience for the better. For a primo price, the only qualm I have is that the Windows key should be on the left instead of the right. This is only an issue because in Windows 7 you can hold down your Windows key + an arrow key and lock windows left and right. I used to could do this with my left hand and then bring my right hand over and tap an arrow key real fast. Now I have to take my left hand off of the home keys. Not a problem, because this is a gaming keyboard, not designed for Windows productivity.

3 out of 5 eggsThe palm rest moves; annoying

Pros: I bought this only for ergonomic + gaming because my meka G1 thermaltake was not comfortable. and my bigges pet peeve was the flimsy palm rest so I bought this. somewhat dissapointed

Cons: It's really made high quality, though plain. However, my biggest selling point was the big palm rest it comes with that looked sturdy and comfortable but it kind moves around and actually doesn't feel all that sturdy. if you put your hand on one corner of the keyboard with the palm rest, it kinda moves around due to the weight on one edge

Other Thoughts: I don't know. I kinda dissapointed. The palm rest kinda moves when you lift your left hand up and its not actually all that bad but I wanted something 100% that did not move. I was thinking about the Corsair K90 because that one has thumbscrews to keep it from moving so now I'm dissapointed I didn't buy that one instead. Other than the palm rest and it looking somewhat bland however, it's a very high quality keyboard and actually feels very smooth to type on.
