5 out of 5 eggsMerc Stealth Gaming Keyboard

Pros: Left hand sits naturally. No carpel tunnel!
Can withstand a full cup of coffee being spilled on it!
Comfortable

Cons: NO DELETE KEY!!!! You have to hit Num Lock then press 1 on number pad!! HIGHLY ANNOYING but you get used to it
Only colors are red, blue, and purple... which looks kinda pink..
No in production anymore... if you have one, be careful!

Other Thoughts: I bought this for 29.99 3 years ago with free shipping and used ones today go for over 200! My left wrist does not hurt anymore since switching to this keyboard. The LEDs are in a raised area underneath each key so spills wont kill this keyboard at all! If you find one for cheap stock up!

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: lights up to make it easy to see during night. multimedia keys and has headset/mic and extra USB slots built in.

Cons: wish there were more light options available.

Other Thoughts: had the original for years before the keys started to wear out and decided to upgrade to the light up version and right away I fell in love again. Its a great gaming keyboard. I know people who use a separate device as control keys that act with the same intent as the side buttons but these feel more natural to me.

2 out of 5 eggswish it would have lasted

Pros: liked this fairly well when I first got it, not so much after using it for a while. Really like the adjustable illuminated keys. Extra gaming keys handy but at an awkward angle for me.

Cons: Now the really bad. Left shift key shattered after playing pinball for a few hours. Number pad has been reworked making intuitive entry difficult. Basically if your not looking at it your gonna hit the wrong key. It could really use a palm rest as well. It does have that cheap plastic feel to the keys. Overall it was a great idea they just needed to put a little more quality into it.

Other Thoughts: Good idea, bad implementation.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat for Games, Bad for Business

Pros: Works excellently for games, especially those with a WASD control setup.

Cons: Insert, Home, Page Up, Delete, End and Page Down do not have their own keys. You must turn Num Lock on and off if you are using the 10-key.

5 out of 5 eggsSweet Keyboard

Pros: Simple to use. Software is very intuitive and easy to program macros. Once you get used to the setup, you will never want to go back. The two USB ports at the top are pretty handy for headphones or slim USB flash drives.

Cons: Sometimes the keyboard setup will not change when first enacted. I eventually just setup my games to fall inline with the current setup. The hand setup may be a little small for larger hands. I found it suitable, but my friend complained that it was too small. Once you get used to the setup, you will never want to go back. Chunky or oddly shaped USBs will not fit into the ports, slots are narrow.

Other Thoughts: The finger pad is a double edged sword. It's great and ergonomic, but you will have trouble readjusting to a normal keypad setup. You may note that it lacks a dedicated [Delete] key, it isn't a detractor. It's built into the keypad and is accessible by hitting the {Num Lock] key. You could even program that function to another key.
I will buy the next iteration of this keyboard when I'm in the market again. Too bad it didn't have a game mouse combo.

Pros: Amazing for gaming. The specialized gaming side of the keyboard is comfortable.

Cons: For the price it could've been mechanical.

4 out of 5 eggsGaming

Pros: The extra "Gaming" set up on the side is awesome for any shooter and games like Minecraft. The fully customizable keys with the Steel Series Engine is nice as well. The placement of the keys is clearly set up for shooters but I had no problem playing a game or four of LoL with a slight remap.

Overall a really great inexpensive gaming board.

Cons: The cord is not braided and the USB ports didn't have the power to charge my phone but it did work with my mouse.

The arrow keys being mixed in with the number pad to make room for the extra gaming area can be a hassle if you need them.

5 out of 5 eggsMy favorite part of my gaming rig

Pros: -Keys have a great feel
-High quality
-Has 2 usb ports as well as headphone/mic inputs
-Backlight has multiple brightness levels
-Game pad area is so perfectly laid out that I can't game on a regular keyboard now

Cons: I've never had much luck with the Z engine. However I usually just remap the keys inside the game im playing.

Other Thoughts: I've had this keyboard almost 5 years and it still works as well today as it did when I first plugged it in. Just found it for $40 so I ordered another as a backup just in case something happens to this board.

Games I usually play:

Call of Duty(all of them)
Battlefield(2,3 and 4)
World of Warcraft
Skyrim
EQ2
FarCry3
GTA4
