5 out of 5 eggsNine month follow up review

Pros: Keyboard is still going strong! No key issues. No squeaks, and no lettering rubbing off. This is still the best keyboard I have ever used. All of the pros listed in my original review stand. I have had no unusual "Numlock issues."

Cons: None.

2 out of 5 eggsSpace bar died.

Pros: Everything but the space key.

Cons: Worked decent for months then the space would not respond, tap once or multiple times.

Other Thoughts: Support is a joke, this is actual steps sent to me in great engrish.

- Go to “Device Manager” under “Keyboard/Mouse” section. If “Yellow Question Mark” icon shows next to it, Troubleshoot by Disk/Online.

- Restart computer with keyboard connected.

1 out of 5 eggsSpace Bar Is Junk

Pros: All of the single switch keys feel amazing and have a great sound.

Cons: The space key is horrible; it only responds correctly when press towards center, if you try to use just a corner it makes the opposite switch stick and usually doesn't register as a strike.

Other Thoughts: Space bar just feels sticky and or poor quality especially compared to the rest of the keys. Would not buy again or recommend to anyone.

1 out of 5 eggsSpace Bar Is Junk

Pros: The single switch keys have a great feel and sound to them. The overall design is of a good spacing.

Cons: The space key is poorly executed. You must hit it in the dead center of the bar for it to register 100% of the time. Hitting on the side of it makes an unpleasant feeling and sticking of the opposite sides switch.

Being one of the most used keys on the board this makes the whole experience suffer to the point I would never recommend this board.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat 1st time mech kybrd but

Pros: Heavy board - does not move.
Light key stroke.
The n-key feature is COOL !

Cons: Noisy - if you're a first time mech keybrd user.
Tall keys - easy to hit the space bar and delete all you've typed.
It loses numlock unexpectedly and doesn't always come back when you hit the numlock key.

Other Thoughts: I can throw a cheap logitech keyboard and it will not lose numlock. Mobo is Asus p8z68 v-pro/gen 3 without any ps2 jacks. Using rear usb.

5 out of 5 eggsBest keyboard I have ever used

Pros: I have owned quite a few keyboards over the years and I can tell you this one takes the cake. Very light keystroke, highly responsive, and has a very high-end feel with the rubber coating on the wrist wrest and frame. Heavy. Long and thick cable with the option of PS/2 or USB. I am using PS/2 for full N key rollover. My typing rate has dramatically increased in moments. Came in a package that showed the degree of care the manufacturer took to protect the keyboard in shipment. Actually held in place in the box by high density foam on both ends, with no chance of damage in shipping.

Cons: Absolutely NONE.

Other Thoughts: I have owned Microsoft, Logitech, and Keytronic keyboards and most recently a Steelseries 6Gv2 and I can say this is the best of them all. Since the Steelseries 6Gv2 is the closest for comparison, and similar in price, I would pick this keyboard over the Steelseries any day of the week. I actually gifted the Steelseries away as I was not completely satisfied with it given how much I spent. Also, this keyboard has the same linear-type key switch with no tactile click (other than the keys bottoming out) as the Steelseries but the Xarmor has a lighter and more comfortable keystroke. The Xarmor is using Cherry MX Browns, where the Steelseries uses the MX Blacks.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for the price

Pros: Price
Cherry MX Brown switches
Weight - feels nice and sturdy

Cons: Only one - The spacebar is a pain to reattach if you take it off.

Other Thoughts: I absolutely adore this keyboard. It's a huge step up from my old rubber dome keyboard, and I don't think I'll ever use anything other than mechanical keys from now on.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat entry level mechanical keyboard

Pros: I wanted cherry brown switches for a mix of gaming/typing, and so far, it's been great. It feels plenty sturdy/durable. I like the keyboard layout (ANSI). Comes with a wrist pad/wrist wrest. Full NKRO. My ghosting/shorting issues have been greatly reduced with this keyboard, so PVP is much more enjoyable in SWTOR now :) Comes with a USB/PS2 adapter.

Cons: It doesn't have a lot of fluff or features like backlit keys or USB hub, but I don't really care for all of that anyway, and certainly wouldn't expect it at this price point.

I do occassionally get some keys to short out (in fast paced combat, if you hit a lot of movement keys at once, your character will start running in a certain direction even after you release all of the keys), so maybe it's not a true NKRO? It's still soooo much better than any other keyboard I've used though, so I can't really complain.

Other Thoughts: I have always enjoyed the old school Buckle Spring keyboards by IBM, but I haven't owned one in years, so the cherry switches were a little new to me. It felt "weird" typing on it at first, but after using it for just a little, when I go back to a rubber dome/membrane keyboard, the rubber dome/membrane keyboard feels horrible!

It's so clear how much of a difference the mechanical keyboard makes. Regardless of which cherry switches you use (black, brown, blue, clear), I think you'll quickly realize how much better it is over any conventional rubber dome keyboard.

5 out of 5 eggsWonderful

Pros: Solid design
Stylish enough
Comfortable rubbery texture to the body/hand rest

Cons: Zero

Other Thoughts: I use a Das Keyboard at home and couldn't switch back to a membrane switch keyboard at work, so I ordered this. I still can't decide which of the two I like more.

While my Das Keyboard is prettier and its keys are slightly nicer to press (in my opinion), its glossy body needs constant cleaning as the smudges and dust are very visible.

This keyboard, on the other hand, has a body with a very nice rubbery-matte texture that doesn't smudge and feels comfortable on my hands.
