5 out of 5 eggsWhat I wanted and more.

Pros: Semi-mechanical laptop style keyboard. No giant noisy keys. The media keys actually work, and adds a very nice volume overlay. Keypad on the side. Wired. Nice matte finish. Basically, it's perfect.

Cons: No backlight, although some might consider that a pro!

5 out of 5 eggsCool keyboard!

Pros: Very Heavy(stays put). Quiet keys. Long cable.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Like I said in the pros, this keyboard is very heavy so it doesn't move around on my desk at all. I love that. If you move your keyboard around a lot or set it on your lap, this might not be the one for you. Great keyboard!

1 out of 5 eggsdefective

Pros: Nice setup, flat keys.

Cons: Unresponsive keys. Space bar, b, n, and several other keys would periodically go dead althought it is permante this time.

Other Thoughts: I didn't buy this from newegg but I thought I'd write a review anyways.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Keyboard

Pros: Scissor switches, which I prefer the feel of.
Spill Resistant.
PS/2 + USB supported. I prefer the PS/2 to keep more usb ports free and perhaps some lower latency.
Very slick looking, and slim too.
Media keys, but just the 6 most important ones. Some of these keyboards nowadays come with all these buttons you never use.
LEDs are not too bright and glaring.
Very affordable.

Cons: Pad printing for the keys. I don't mind though.
No nkro rollover or anything like that.

Other Thoughts: The picture on the newegg site at the time I purchased and the box itself shows a german layout. The description on newegg says it is a normal layout, and thankfully, it was.

5 out of 5 eggsI may have to buy one of these...

Pros: My wife just built her first computer with a bit of help from me and this is the keyboard we ended up getting for her. I have been using it while taking the computer for a test drive and I LOVE IT!

Here's why:

It seems very well constructed and is quite heavy for its small profile. The keys are very direct and responsive, similar to a high quality laptop keyboard, but the keys do not require too much force to depress. Also, the noise from typing is not totally quiet but is very pleasing to the ear- the tone of each individual click is almost pleasant. The few media keys added are perfect for most users, too.

Cons: None that I can think of, really. I prefer a dial for the sound control, but I can live without one.

Other Thoughts: I never have been one to spend much on a keyboard (usually just get an inexpensive microsoft one or something similar) but this keyboard's look and feel is impressive. Heck, I am writing up a review for a keyboard! I think I am going to have to get one of these especially since they're on sale!

4 out of 5 eggsSo far so good

Pros: Very quiet, laptop style keyboard. Thin and slim, takes up very little space, without sacrificing any keys or spacing (there's just very little unused space on the surface.) I was a little worried about the spacebar after reading the other reviews, but it seems to work just fine even when I hit it on the edge. The board is surprisingly heavy for its size and feels solid.

Cons: Response time seems a bit laggy. May not be the best choice for twitch gaming, though in fairness it isn't advertised as such. The keys seem a little flimsy and inconsistent in how much pressure it takes to register them.

Other Thoughts: I just got this board today, so I can't comment on its longevity. Arrived at my house just two days after I ordered it.

4 out of 5 eggsFix the spacebar

Pros: - Slim keys, scissor-style switches.
- Fairly low activation force, medium duration for return to neutral.
- Nice matte finish.
- Orange LED's not to bright.
- Competitive price.
- Decent key layout, albeit not completely standard 104.

Cons: - Below average tactile feedback from scissors, however still better than membrane-style keys.
- Space bar only has one contact in the dead center rather than the industry default of putting two contacts on the left and right side of the bar. This causes no spaces to register if the space bar is hit on the left or right side. The user must hit the space bar DIRECTLY in the center, else spaces will not register. This is actually a huge design flaw, and it will not add spaces extremely often. Only docking one egg for this, although I should take off two.

Other Thoughts: The space bar having only one center contact is a huge issue, spaces don't register often. If you can deal with this by training yourself to hit DEAD CENTER of the space bar, then it's a 5. Buyer beware.

5 out of 5 eggsVery underrated keyboard!

Pros: I can't believe no one has reviewed this keyboard yet. I was looking for a scissor-action laptop style keyboard. No frills. I just wanted a sturdy, slim, long-lasting keyboard with media buttons. At the suggestion of a friend, I bought this one. It is absolutely perfect. The case is strong, gives enough elevation, and the keys are super quiet and just perfect. I had a previous Targus keyboard that did well but this one definitely feels like it will stand up to a lot more abuse. Can't go wrong here!

-Sturdy
-Great key action and response
-Media buttons
-Minimalist design
-Supposedly resistant to liquid spills. I don't intend on trying that one out, but it does seem as though the keys are isolated from any electronics.

Cons: I definitely wouldn't have minded having one or two USB 2.0 ports on it, but given its super slim design I can't really complain. It would just be a nice addition though.

Other Thoughts: I honestly researched hours and hours for a simplistic laptop style keyboard that didn't break the bank. Forget the Logitech Illuminated, DiNovio, Enermax Acrylux or Aurora. This keyboard is just flat out the best value for cheap. I'll continue to look for Cherry products in the future.
