1 out of 5 eggsCheap, horrible, AVOID

Pros: Love the look, sleek design and the extra functions buttons.
Too bad it's a cheap piece of garbage.

Cons: The USB cord is half the length of my $8.00 keyboard that this thing was meant to replace. What's wrong Gigabyte? Couldn't afford me a few more inches?

Multiple keys do not register right out of the box. Spacebar and P key. I ordered two of them and both feel like cheap toys.

Lesson learned: You don't expect to get a decent sandwich from Starbucks, you don't expect a good pizza from a department store and you NEVER buy a keyboard from a Motherboard manufacturer.

Other Thoughts: I'm not buying another keyboard from gigabyte and considering how well the RMA process is going...and that it will just end with me being stuck with another junk product, I not likely to buy anything from this company again.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Very inexpensive, useful media keys

Cons: smaller keys in general, small Backspace key

Other Thoughts: Great keyboard for the cost works well with gaming and general use. It did take some time to adjust to the smaller keys, specifically the tiny backspace key (about 2 weeks).

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Inexpensive Keyboard

Pros: Very inexpensive, Reliable, Lots of Cool Buttons

Cons: A little bulky. If you need a thinner keyboard, look elsewhere. While the function keys are awesome the ones on the left and right sides of the keyboard are a little hidden. I had to show them to people to get them to start using them.

Other Thoughts: I own several of these keyboards and have not had trouble with any of them. I especially like the volume knob as it makes quick sound adjustments simple and convenient. Often I find it better to use the keyboard then to fumble around which program is playing sound the loudest at the time.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat for the money

Pros: Its a keyboard, The media buttons are handy if you're into that sort of thing. what i like about it is after 2 years there is only minimal fading on the keys, and its survived water spills twice! i've ordered 4 of these keyboards now, they're great

Cons: the usb connector seems to be slightly loose, not a huge issue unless you like having the keyboard in your lap, as even a small amount of tugging seems to disconnect them.

Other Thoughts: its the best $16 keyboard i've ever owned, if you're not using it for serious gaming, you won't be disappointed

4 out of 5 eggsLasted 40 months.

Pros: The dial makes for faster volume changes than some other methods.

Cons: Paint on the glossy plastic rubs off much more quickly than from the keys. Not a major con, but the Gigabyte logo is more of a negative than a shadow of what it used to be, and the calculator button's paint is almost completely gone. The mute button is solid black. Even some keys that I never used like the page back/forward on the left side are illegible.

Speaking of the side buttons their functions are generally redundant, and their positioning and hard to press nature makes them much less useful than they could be. The only two I've made regular use of are the Mute (because tabbing out of a game to mute the audio is a pain) and the calculator ones. I did briefly experiment with trying to use them for extra controls in MMOs, but that hard-to-press nature quickly made it far more trouble than it was worth.
.

Other Thoughts: I've owned this keyboard for almost 3.5 years now, and it's only finally just going out. Keys sometimes auto-repeat or there's a couple seconds of delay between typing and seeing something on the screen, and shortly after those symptoms crop up I have to unplug it, wait a few seconds, and then plug it back in.

This started up about a year ago, 2-2.5 years into ownership, but it only happened once or twice every 3 months so no big deal. Now I'm lucky if it doesn't happen a dozen times a day. In fact I've had to re-plug it 4x, all within a span of 5 minutes or so, while typing this up, and that's probably the third time I've had to deal with a spat like this in the last 15 hours or so.

You might expect this to be a con, but given that it's almost 3.5 years old and I've used it pretty hard, including picking it up by the USB cord and having it take some pretty severe jerks/pulls to said cord, I'm surprised that an $18 (when I bought it) keyboard is still working as well as it is.

5 out of 5 eggsUpdate to previous review

Pros: Great build quality. Really really good value for the price. Totally has laser engraved keys.

Cons: non-standard backspace; it's amazing how it actually takes a period of adjustment for something so small.

Other Thoughts: I bought this keyboard years ago, and have had other keyboards since. Yesterday I spilled a drink on the keyboard I had been using for a year or so and needed a replacement so pulled this old Gigabyte out of the closet. All the key caps still show their letters and the keyboard works great, so I decided I needed to write a revision to my previous review: This keyboard DEFINITELY has engraved key-caps. Thanks Gigabyte for making such an great budget keyboard with surprising value.

Pros: Great keyboard, works without any problems.

Cons: Wierd key layout. Didn't really like the layout of the backspace its small but my dad does so to each his own.

Other Thoughts: Wouldn't buy for myself but it still is a good keyboard.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat keyboard for the price

Pros: I ordered this keyboard because of the media keys which are great for Spotify as I don't have to close out of my current window to change songs. It also has great volume controls and I also find myself using the shortcut keys for things like the calculator and going to My Computer. The action on the keys is also very nice. For all the features the keyboard was very inexpensive.

Cons: None.
