2 out of 5 eggsUnreliable, unresponsive.

Pros: -Good media keys. The volume dial is really nice.
-Compact.
-Looks groovy.

Cons: -Unresponsive.
-Unreliable. Works one day, dies the next.

Other Thoughts: Okay, I bought this a few months ago, and I have generally had nothing but trouble with it. The keyboard is okay, but pretty unreliable, often stuttering and not typing, or freezing and then attempting to catch up by placing hundreds of the key you last hit. But for the most part it works; it's just very flawed.

The mouse is the worst thing I have ever used in my life. Like the keyboard, it chooses when it wants to work: expect unlike the keyboard, it never chooses to work. It constantly stops working, stutters and freezes every few seconds and the click appears to change positions on the mouse every minute. At least it looks cute.

Overall I really can't recommend this to anyone. I'm just glad it only cost me $35 (I'm in Australia), but I still feel ripped off.

1 out of 5 eggsEasly loses signal

Pros: The mouse and keyboard designs are very nice, and has a few additional keyboard shortcut keys.

Cons: Loses signal too easy, the keyboard will forget its signal and either type random letters or just skip them all togeter.

Other Thoughts: Avoid this wireless keyboard and mouse, not worth the price.

1 out of 5 eggsWeird performance

Pros: Looks nice.

Cons: When typing, had runaway characters. The only way to stop was to close application. I had to connect another keyboard just to do this review.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent - Works Fine

Pros: This is the fifth one I've ordered of this keyboard. All of them have worked fine, plug and play, with Windows XP Home 32 bit, Windows 7 64 bit, and Ubuntu i386 10.10/11.04/11.10.

Cons: On one of the five the keyboard did not work and the mouse was would not work in the UEFI BIOS.

Other Thoughts: For what you pay for, it's a great product. I never use the cheap batteries included with all keyboards. I found the range on these decent. 10-15ft depending on the environment they were operating in. The more electronics, obviously the more interference.

It's funny how people bash range ratings, sometimes they are padded a bit yes, but everyone acts like every environment is going to act the same way. Get real people.

1 out of 5 eggsThis is Gigabyte?

Pros: Good feel to the keyboard. I like the volume control knob.
PnP was ok, no troubles.

Cons: This combo unit SUCKS!
The keyboard really never worked correctly.
The Mouse is one of those tiny "laptop" kind, dun like that.
The mouse worked for the first couple of days. Since has become sporatic in operation, finally I just tossed it across the room!
DUN buy this product, no matter how much you like Gigabyte! I USED to swear by Gigabyte motherboards, but this item is junk.

Other Thoughts: Judging by the reviews here, Gigabyte better get a grip on thier manufacturer. They are ruining a good name.
I won't buy Gigabyte again, unless Newegg gives it away.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat for the Price

Pros: Mouse works great, keyboard needs to be facing directly at receiver to work, but overall has been a great purchase.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Never received rebate from Gigabyte!!!!!!!!!! I explicitly went through every step on the rebate form, patiently waited only to check the status and find the upc was "missing" from my return. I submitted a scanned copy (and kept a copy of course) that clearly shows the UPC being attached to the form, tried to contact Gigabyte multiple times but never received any follow-up. Extremely disappointing and not the way to build a loyal customer. I will certainly avoid their products in the future as I am sure there are other products that work just well and have customer service to follow-up.

1 out of 5 eggsDisappointing

Pros: This unit is very nicely built. I really liked the feel of the keys, and the construction was very solid. The design was very slick, too. The receiver is very tiny, and fits in a small compartment within the mouse, making it convenient to take with you if you have the need. It also prevents the receiver from getting lost if you remove it from your system. Very nice!

Cons: It's just not that reliable. When I first plugged it in, the keyboard didn't work at all, although the mouse worked fine. At first, I thought it was a BIOS issue with my motherboard. Then, one day, the keyboard started working, and for about 5 minutes both the keyboard and mouse worked great. Then, the mouse started to become unresponsive, and then the keyboard started acting up again. Finally, nothing worked at all.

Also, this keyboard had the big L-shaped "Enter" key, which I don't care for. I'm used to my backslash ("\") key being a long key just above the "Enter" key. They put the backslash key to the left of a shortened backspace key (which keyboard manufacturers often do in this configuration), which drives me crazy!

Other Thoughts: I bought this for a new HTPC that I built myself. The keyboard and mouse were about 4 to 5 feet away (which really isn't that far). It just couldn't operate in a reliable manner. It's really too bad, too, because I really liked just about everything else about this unit.

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: good feel to keyboard and plastic, easy volume adjustment and media buttons

Cons: did not last

Other Thoughts: I believed in gigabyte brand and purchased this item however usb wireless plug stopped working in about 6month after very light use. I use it as HTPC keyboard and mouse in my second apartment when I am there which is only once or twice a month. USB connector is no longer recognized on any other computer so it must be burned up or something. Other then that it was vary good combo.

3 out of 5 eggsMeh

Pros: Cheap, Works *Battery Included for Mouse*

Cons: The mouse is poop to be honest. Keyboard is ok, range on it is poop (darn newegg censoring) though if you arent sitting at a desk with it. Personally didnt like the backspace key (i like the longer ones)

*Batteries Not Included for Keyboard*

Other Thoughts: I bought it for my wife's build, she likes it, I was testing it out for a week on the main computer we use for a HTPC and sitting on a couch with it about maybe 6-8feet away connection was hit and miss, would drop out alot. Mouse just wasnt my style. And whats up with providing a battery for the mouse but not the keyboard lolz :P
