5 out of 5 eggsThe range....is....HUGE

Pros: We have about 40 of these at work and they all work flawlessly (30 of the are all together in the same room and they don't fight with each other).

The battery life is great -- I haven't changed out batteries on anything since they arrived in June.

The range is AMAZING. Most other wireless mouse/keyboards I've used have had terrible range -- the keyboard I use at home (chosen for being super silent more than anything else) is so bad I had to get a USB extension cable/cradle to get it within range.

A few examples of how amazing the range on these are:
1. Our classrooms have podiums with PC's up at the front. The mouse and keyboard work from pretty much any students desk (which has been useful a few times actually).

2. It works (imperfectly) through a wall and glass window

3. The one at my work desk is connected to a port replicator that is under the desk and behind a file cabinet -- it has no line of site at all to either the mouse of the keyboard.

Driverwise I've had 0 driver issues -- it's been plug and play the whole way (works fine in bios, OS installs, etc).

I find the understated/simple/clean design nice for my desk at work and for our classroom computers.

My hands are large and I am clumsy, the mouse is not too small.

Cons: None I've found. The keyboard isn't adjustable in any way, but I've never been too picky about that sort of thing.

Other Thoughts: This is neither a gaming keyboard nor a multimedia keyboard. If you want one of those you should get something else :)

4 out of 5 eggsGood KB/Mouse for the price

Pros: I do not understand why this product is getting beat up. Have been using one at work and one at home for over a year. Never any issues, good battery life. I would buy another if I needed another.

Cons: Ok - This thing looses 1 egg. NO BREAK KEY! Good grief. Also, the mouse is not the best. I use one at work heavily. No problem if you keep the work surface clean. My oak desk at home freaks out the other mouse so I purchased another model/brand.

Other Thoughts: There are better KB/mouse sets out their. Open you wallet.

1 out of 5 eggsdon't buy this thing

Pros: looks nice

Cons: absolutely does not work. The keys get stuck, the mouse and the keyboard cannot work at the same time, and there is no driver support available from Dell. I have a nice computer but it's limping along because of this terrible keyboard.

Other Thoughts: anything else would be better

1 out of 5 eggsVery Low Quality; Do Not Buy.

Pros: it is, roughly speaking, a keyboard and a mouse, which do lack exterior wiring, so 2 points to Dell for accurate product naming.

Cons: for starters, when I first plugged in the receiver, my wired mouse and keyboard ceased to function, and the wireless ones didn't work either. unplugging/replugging any of the 3 devices did nothing, so with no way to interface with my computer, I was forced to issue a hard reboot. at the bios screen, only the wireless keyboard worked. after windows started back up, all 3 were working, and that's when I started to notice the other short comings of this product. for one, the mouse has way too much traction, and is a chore to drag across any surface, to say nothing of the amount of noise it makes when you do so.what's more is that the functional range of both mouse and keyboard is a mere 3-5 feet, making them useless for what I got them for. on top of this, even while in range, the keyboard has a tenancy to miss keystrokes if you type even remotely fast, guaranteeing typos in everything you do with it.

Other Thoughts: over all, I'd have to say this is the worst $40 I've ever spent of peripherals. avoid it like the plague.

Cons: range of product is terrible, mouse only goes 3 feet, keyboard only goes 5, i wanted something that i could use from across the room and this is definitely not what i want

2 out of 5 eggsGreat mouse, terrible keyboard

Pros: The mouse is crisp and responsive.

Cons: The keyboard is an unholy mess. You can't change the angle and the keys are mushy and wobbly. I appreciate that they removed the unnecessary SysRq and Pause keys, but the removal of the NumLock key seems a bit overboard to me.

Other Thoughts: As a compulsive fidgeter, I find the mouse entertaining due to the battery cover being held on by magnets. The wireless link seemed a bit weak but a lot of things can affect that.
