1 out of 5 eggsCustomer service

Pros: Cheap purchase

Cons: the keyboard does not work, I asked for RMA to replace and their support ask me to send a photo of malfunctions. Not sure what to take picture of...despite long waiting and all the troubles...

Other Thoughts: disappointed

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: kb looks and appears new, box highly damaged. keys feel undamaged and look unworn.

Cons: the on off switch in the back looks a little loose, not a big deal. the connect button in the back feels unworn. will update as i use it if anything new comes up. also there is a small usb dongle area in the battery compartment which is empty, may be useful to some people.

5 out of 5 eggsI like it

Pros: Small, lightweight and powered by AAA batteries which are easily available. I also really like the feel of these particular chiclet keys.

Cons: If you leave the batteries in but the device off, it does tend to drain them rather quickly. Mine drained two sets of batteries in a few weeks. I leave them out when I am not using it, now.

1 out of 5 eggs3 Keys missing

Pros: Looks nice.

Cons: Three keys missing: F, C, V. Keys not in the bag or package, so it was packed this way.

Other Thoughts: I did not open and inspect soon enough, so no return.

1 out of 5 eggsInexcusable Junk

Pros: Very Few - See Below

Cons: I’ve had pretty good luck with most refurbs, until now. My first keyboard came in pieces, wrapped in a plastic bag, barely cushioned with air filled packing. At first I thought it had been broken due to the poor packaging, but then I realized that some of the pieces were missing. The keyboard was already broken when it was packed and shipped.
After a weird delay where Newegg wrote that it was 5-7 business days behind in its customer service email, I was sent a replacement. The replacement was missing the page-up key. Once again, the missing part was not in the box, so it had been packed (poorly) and shipped this way.
Only one keyboard came with instructions, and neither came with batteries. The instructions were minimal and the HP site wasn’t much help. I tried using the second keyboard, which paired easily with my Windows 7 Thinkpad. I’m not a great typist, but I found the typing action pleasant and very usable. That was only after slowing down the repeat rate in the Windows keyboard settings, otherwise there were often random repeated letters. There were also random delays and occasional Bluetooth disconnects, even though I was never far from the laptop. Unchecking all the boxes in the power management settings for the keyboard tab in device manager helped reduce some of those problems.
Finally, I tried to pair the keyboard with my Samsung Galaxy Android MP3 Player 5.0, which runs Gingerbread 2.3.5, and there was no way to make it work. The keyboard generates a random pairing code with each device pairing, which has to be typed into a pop-up box, but the box never pops up in my version of Android. Something to think about with Google’s ever changing versions of Android, and Samsung’s failure to update many devices.

Other Thoughts: Newegg did not ship me a refurb, or even an open box return - they just put garbage in a box and sent it to me. It’s insulting and annoying, and I hope to help others avoid my experience. The keyboards themselves aren’t too bad, although obviously fragile and somewhat buggy, but I’d advise staying far away from Newegg’s refurbs.

5 out of 5 eggsGood compact keyboard

Pros: It's a compact keyboard; does not feel cramped. Typing is fairly comfortable for average hands. Chiclet style keys. Power switch is on the bottom.

Feels solid; keyboard does not flex.

4 rubber feet to prevent sliding on surface.

Price was discounted with promo code.

Cons: No feet for height adjustment.
Not illuminated, would be nice to have for typing in the dark.
No touchpad, would be nice.

Other Thoughts: It's refurbished; arrived in a plastic bag in a newegg.com box. This was my first wireless Bluetooth keyboard. Paired successfully on first attempt with a Toshiba Encore Mini tablet. Will need 2 x AAA batteries.

Time will tell the durability of the lettering of the keys. A touchpad would have been nice especially when pairing with a tablet.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent for a Samsung Gaxaxy Pad

Pros: Small, compact, battery powered, easy to connect.

Cons: Takes a few tries to connect, but I am guessing it is searching for a code that works. You have to cycle through a few codes and enter each one to determine if it is the right code, but once you get the right one, it works great.

4 out of 5 eggsGood little keyboard

Pros: Small and lightweight. Easy to connect to other devices and the keys feel alright although a bit cramped. Haven't tested the full signal range but it woks fine at about 10ft.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: Does not have any port for some sort of physical connection, in case the bluetooth fails. Would be nice if it was backlit or if there was another model with it.

5 out of 5 eggsSeems to work fine

Pros: As others noted, it did not come with 2 AAA batteries - no big deal as I expected as much. Loaded the batteries, fired it up, and paired it with my Surface Pro. I mainly use the SP for drawing and sketching and was looking for a small BT keyboard like this to set right above it on the table so that the screen was closest to me.

Cons: None so far

5 out of 5 eggsLike new

Pros: Was in retail box and only batteries were missing so figured was just old stock and they were removed before shipping. Paired fast and easy with Dell Venue Pro 8 which found it model and all so could not be better. Got with promo code so could not get a brand name any cheaper.

Cons: Does not type as I talk or get me beer.
