Pros: Same design as the seitek cyborg and appears to be nearly identical.

Cons: The surface of the keys are different, the old keyboard had a slight texture to the keys. Also, the feel of the keys when depressed is not the same. More click to the old board. This is my 3rd generation of this keyboard. I am not sold on MADCATZ version yet.

Pros: I owned a Satiek Eclipse with the blue LED backlight and it worked great until I spilled a entire soda into it. I attempted to save the old keyboard but it was dead! So I purchased this Cyborg ver. with the RED LED back light and I really like it. The keys are a little loose but not so much that it ruins the feel. Perfect elevation with the provided back lift clips. They will last a very long time if you take care of it and modify it as written about in other thoughts.
The provided back lighting is ajustable and is nice for night time game playing or even low light typing. I have worked in I.T since 1995 and have used many different keyboards. The only other keyboard that I enjoy using as much as this is a Logitech cheapo USB unit. It's a nice backup keyboard but lacks the RED LED back lighting that makes this keyboard a huge winner to me. So what if it takes a two hour mod to get it to be an excellent keyboard, it's well worth it once your done! It will surprise the **** out of you

Cons: Space bar started sqweeking after about a week of usage. See other thoughts for the easy fix and upgrade for the entire keyboard! The price has gone up since I bought mine. I paid $45 so it must have been on sale. I must admit that $60 puts this in a pricey catagory!

Other Thoughts: O.K. this keyboard can be transformed from just a average over-priced keyboard into a great gaming and typing keyboard with this little modification I have done on my unit!
First get a wide flat blade scewdriver and put a dab of hot glue on both sides of the screw driver. This will protect the keys as you remove them one at a time.
Next gently pry off each key paying close attention to the wide keys with the support brackets under them. Next you can blow out all the dirt or not if it's new.
Now you use a tube of vasoline $3 at a Wallgreens(Buy the tube it's much easier to use).
Now just simply put some vasoline under each key in the center mounting point and just push them back on. Right away you will feel a huge difference in how the keyboard feels for gaming or typing.
Next be very careful and install all the long keys like the spacebar with vasoline on the main mount and also on the brackets and swival points(Be careful these brackets can easily be broken off from there clipped on mounts!

The entire process took me about two hours and now the keyboard is not only super quite, but it types very smooth as well.
Now you have upgraded a decent keyboard and turned it into a great keyboard. If you compare the price of this to some of the $150 to $200 keyboards it's a no brainer!

So many people are paying big bucks for the Logitech gaming keyboards or Crucails and paying all that big money for a keyboard! It's just a keyboard not a CPU or a Motherboard! So I don't get it and never will?
This keyboard once modified will perform very nice for any games that I have played (Call OF Duty 2 and 3) Battlefield 3 and a few others. It's also great for my movie reviews that need to be typed very profesionallly for the local paper.

All in all at first look this keyboard gets many bad reviews for the loose and skweaky keys. I can understand this seeing the price payed for the unit.

However a very simple dab of vasoline will fix any skweaky problems with the keyboard. Take it one step further and put a dab of vasoline under every key and all the brace supports and you will notice a incredable difference in how this keyboead performs. I absolutly love this keyboard after my 2 hour mod. I realize many people will not be willing to cough up two hours to modify a keyboard simply out of spite.

I can understand that your keyboard is one of the most important parts you will purchase for you P.C. that is most of the time overlooked with the mouse. With this mod you can get a very good feel compared to how it is when it arrives and I recomend the Logitech G-5 laser mouse as well. They are both hard wired USB devices that minimizes latency. Hope this helps someone out that thought they were stuck with a below par keyboard, modify it into an acepatable keyboard that you can use for years.

Pros: Really nice, makes it super easy to see a night. I use this keyboard all day every day and have been for the last 2 years and non of the key have even started fading or dying. Great board!

Cons: Sucks that it doesnt have any displays :(
