The Corsair Vengeance K60 is a premium mechanical keyboard designed for high performance First Person Shooter (FPS) gaming. It features Cherry MX Red mechanical key switches which are of the best of the best key switches and coveted by gamers. They are defined by their low-operating force (45g) and smooth, linear key switch design so you can get quicker double and triple clicks, without the annoying click of a typist’s keyboard.

Contoured, textured control/action keycaps (WASD, 1-6) put you in complete command and allow you to easily find the precise location of your control keys. Full Key Matrix Anti-Ghosting and 20 Key Roll-over on USB detects and reports any simultaneous combination of key-presses with each key press being reported independently. Professional grade brushed aluminum chassis provides you a comfortable, yet rugged design, ideal for single player or LAN party gaming. Soft cushioned wrist rest is optimized for comfortable FPS play even for extending gaming sessions. Wrist rest also includes standard typing key caps and a key cap replacement tool for easy switching.

  • newegg Cherry MX Red Mechanical Key Switches Cherry MX Red key switches are the best of the best — they provide the sensitivity and low operating force that professional gamers love. Reaction times are ultra-fast and responsive for quicker double and triple taps. The action is predictable and linear unlike lesser gaming keyboards that have a tactile bump or the annoying click of a typist’s keyboard.
  • newegg Contoured, Textured WASD and 1-6 Keycaps The Vengeance K60 is designed to give you complete control even during the most intense action. The contoured, textured WASD and #1-6 keys are soft to the touch and without slip so you can focus on the game without needing to look down to find the right controls. An extra set of standard typing keycaps and a keycap replacement tool are provided for general typing.
  • newegg Full Key Matrix Anti-ghosting Corsair’s expertly designed anti-ghosting technology provides flawless control even when you're pressing multiple keys at once. The K60 has individual switches with dedicated diodes for each switch so every key press results in an input and is 100% ghost free without tradeoff or compromise.
  • newegg 20-key Rollover (20KRO) on USB Typical USB gaming keyboards are limited to the USB standard six-key rollover. The K60 features increased performance with a 20-key rollover implementation on USB at a blazing fast 1ms (1000 reports per second) reporting rate.
  • newegg Professional-grade brushed aluminum chassis The stiff-suspension chassis employs a comfortable yet rugged design that's ideal for single player or LAN party gaming, and provides durability and stability that's better than keyboards made primarily from plastic.
  • newegg Ergonomic Wrist Rest and More The ergonomic soft-touch wrist rest helps you play for hours without fatigue. It even doubles as a safe and secure holder for the included spare set of WASD and #1-6 keycaps. Control all of your music with the easy access media controls. A USB port on the back of the Vengeance K60 gaming keyboard makes connecting your mouse or other USB devices a simple task.

5 out of 5 eggsOnce Mechanical, Always Mechanical!

Pros: Very desirable, crisp key action. A plus if you game.

Sturdy, solid-feeling, and nice-looking aluminum body--very nice touch by Corsair! And the few extra buttons & volume dial provided are useful and handy to have.

If you play fps, the textured and shaped red keys add to your responsiveness and feel great!

I love this keyboard, now that I've discovered mechanical there's no going back to regular keyboards, esp. for online gaming!

Even has a usb passthru port behind the F12 key which is nice to have.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I highly recommend you consider this keyboard. It would be hard to find disappoint with it.

Although the extra palm rest is a very nice accessory, I find that I just leave it off when I play fps games because I have better leverage that way; to each his own, though.

2 out of 5 eggsTYPO KING

Pros: The volume roller is about the best thing I can say about this.

Cons: Many, most of the keys aren't mechanical, Numerous keys either stick or don't work when pressed the first time. I'm having serious typo problems, spell check corrects when typing notes and such. But, I use this for gaming. Game chat and passwords are a nightmare.

Other Thoughts: This worked fine for a couple weeks then it went south and fast. I've even tried a wrist strap to ground myself to it to no avail. Cheap switches is the likely issue. I'm the only one who uses it so I know it hasn't been dropped or beat on.

4 out of 5 eggsGood overall, but not perfect for me

Pros: -Very nice looking
-Very sturdy. You can feel the high built quality all over
-Good, well-placed, functional media controls
-BRILLIANT volume roller, seriously, this thing is awesome

Cons: -Red switches are not for me
-Not fully-mechanical

Other Thoughts: It was tricky to find a keyboard with all of the features I wanted. I required well-placed media controls, and a full right-side numberpad, both of which, many mechanical keyboards seem to lack. I also wanted a mechanical keyboard- and this is my first.

The volume wheel is seriously such a brilliant feature. It's incredibly fun to use, and gets the job done. It's definitely a novelty feature, but I love it to death.

The fact that all of the function keys are non-mechanical is a pretty well-documented fact, so I knew before I bought it, and decided I wouldn't mind; and I really don't. I don't use them enough for it to be annoying.

My biggest issue with this keyboard is the Red key-switches. This was my first mechanical keyboard; I've never use done before and there's nowhere around me that I could try one out, to decide what type of switches I like. I'm glad I didn't write up a review the first day I started using the keyboard, because I reallly couldn't stand typing on it. The Red switches felt very unnatural, and I had a really hard time typing in it. About a month later I've decided that it isn't so bad, but still not what I think I'd like best. There is no resistance when you press the keys down. You can't feel the point of actuation, and there is no clicking sound until the key strikes the base of the board. I hated this at first, but I've gotten a bit more used to it, and I don't mind it anymore. It feels OKAY to type on, but not great. I still have kind of a hard time touch-typing with this keyboard and I seem to make a lot of mistakes. These are all personal issues though, and will not apply to everybody. I'd just like to warn first-time mechanical keyboard buyers that red switches are probably not what you'd expect from a mechanical keyboard.

I think if this keyboard had blue switches, it would be literally perfect.

This is a great keyboard, and I highly recommend it if you like red switches. If they made a revision with blue switches, I would buy it in an instant.

4 out of 5 eggsSolid Keyboard Overall

Pros: Very sturdy and has a nice feel to it. I enjoy typing on this board and love the sound mechanical keyboards make. My roommate might have a different opinion though.

Cons: I did buy this keyboard for gaming, but not for FPS. I play League of Legends most of the time which does not revolve around W, A, S, D for movement and the red textured keys threw me for a serious loop, I had no idea what I was doing and kept losing my place.

Other Thoughts: I have only owned this keyboard for a couple days but I will update this review in a couple weeks if anything changes.

1 out of 5 eggsNot full Mechanical

Pros: High quality brand typically, nice cabling, and has a usb port on the keyboard itself.

Cons: The metal frame holds static easily, the "important" keys like the f keys, delete and esc aren't actually mechanical. I got mine for work and couldn't use it because I was constantly switching between normal and mechanical keys. Flat out cherry reds are just not good enough for any sort of normal use. It's like going from a desktop to a laptop scissor key in terms of sensitivity. The keys are slightly smaller then normal keyboards and it takes some getting used to. I gave up after 2 months and around 10% typo rate. The F keys are also too close to the number keys, so it's ridiculously easy to hit both.

It's a very poorly designed product, the switches are poor, and overall I wish I had just gone to elitekeyboards and got the one I have now in the first place.

3 out of 5 eggsNice keyboard but...

Pros: Responsive keys and multimedia keys make this a great keyboard.

Cons: There was a bug with keys getting "stuck" but that was corrected with a firmware update. There is still a problem in the firmware that the \ and SHIFT+\ key repeats under Linux. That key is the only key that does it and only under Linux. Corsair has known about the bug for a while, but doesn't have an ETA for a fix.

Other Thoughts: Fixing the \ bug would make this a perfect keyboard for me and probably alot of other (Linux) users.

5 out of 5 eggsBeautiful piece of art from Corsair!

Pros: So far so good, I love it. Rugged and solidly built piece of art.

My first time ever to own a mechanical keyboard might I say!

Cons: None!

Other Thoughts: I can type way faster on this "TANK" of a keyboard than I do with my previous keyboards (Saitek Eclipse 2 and 3) which made my hand fatique from long hours in Battlefield and etc. I wish Corsair would offer different colors for the contoured keys besides giving us Red.

1 out of 5 eggsDead after 4 months

Pros: Great Keyboard when it worked. I tried both sets of keys. Took a week maybe to get used to it, then if felt nice.

Cons: Worked one night, next morning it was dead. No lights, no keys would work. The USB pass through still works but nothing else. I took it to work to try on other computers and nothing.

Other Thoughts: Ill let you know how the RMA goes, if it goes smoothly Ill change the review. Right now 100 bucks for 4 months is wrong.

4 out of 5 eggsFantastic

Pros: Very solid design. Great looks. Very durable. Red switches have a great feel without being deafening.

Cons: Not fully mechanical, No backlight(not a problem for me)

Other Thoughts: One of the best Keyboards I have ever owned. I primarily play fps games and the textured keycaps are quite nice once you get used to them. As some have mentioned before, the non mechanical switches are a bit of a letdown, but all of the most commonly used keys are mechanical, so it's almost negligible for daily/gaming use. The aluminum body is much sturdier than I thought it would be and gives the keyboard a very rigid feel and great aesthetics. In my opinion the best part of this keyboard is the wrist rest. I have average sized hands and the wrist rest is extremely comfortable when gaming. It is, however an bit annoying when typing, but it is easily removed. I have had this keyboard for a few months now and haven't had any of the sticking/usb issues mentioned in other reviews. Overall I am very satisfied with this keyboard and would highly recommend it.
