The Corsair Vengeance K90 is a premium performance mechanical keyboard designed for superior Massively Multiplayer Online (MMO) and Real Time Strategy (RTS) gaming. It features Cherry MX Red mechanical key switches which are of the best of the best key switches and coveted by gamers. They are defined by their low-operating force (45g) and smooth, linear key switch design so you can get quicker double and triple clicks, without the annoying click of a typist’s keyboard.

18 dedicated, customizable macro keys provide easy access to your most frequently used macros, presets and key combinations. Full Key Matrix Anti-Ghosting and 20 Key Roll-over on USB detects and reports any simultaneous combination of key-presses with each key press being reported independently. Professional grade brushed aluminum chassis with laser etched, backlit keys provides a comfortable, yet rugged design with outstanding illumination.

  • newegg Cherry MX Red Mechanical Key Switches Cherry MX Red key switches are the best of the best — they provide the sensitivity and low operating force that professional gamers love. Reaction times are ulra-fast and responsive for quicker double and triple taps. The action is predictable and linear unlike lesser gaming keyboards that have a tactile bump or the annoying click of a typist’s keyboard.
  • newegg 18 Dedicated, Customizable G-Keys Easily access to your most frequently used macros, presets and key combinations even during the most intense action. You can record up to 54 programmable functions accessible from three separate banks, ideal for grouping macros by function, or access. Macros can be created on-the-fly, customized, and activated with a single keystroke.
  • newegg Full Key Matrix Anti-ghosting Our expertly designed anti-ghosting technology provides flawless control even when you're pressing multiple keys at once. The K90 has individual switches with dedicated diodes for each switch so every key press results in an input and is 100% ghost free without tradeoff or compromise.
  • newegg 20-key Rollover (20KRO) on USB Typical USB gaming keyboards are limited to the USB standard six-key rollover. The K90 features increased performance with a 20-key rollover implementation on USB at a blazing fast 1ms (1000 reports per second) reporting rate.
  • newegg Professional Grade Brushed Aluminum Chassis with Laser Etched, Backlit Keys The rugged aluminum chassis provides increased durability and stability compared those that are primarily plastic. The stiff suspension chassis and the laser etched keys are made for durability so they won't degrade over time. And the K90 has over 90 LEDs that provide outstanding illumination even in dim light. The soft-touch wrist rest helps you play for hours without fatigue.
  • newegg Vengeance Gaming Keyboard Software and More Create up to 50 profiles and share, import and export macros with the Vengeance keyboard gaming software (free download at corsair.com). 36Kb of memory built into the K90 lets you take your customizations and profiles with you and use them on any system. Control all of your music with the easy access media controls. A USB port on the back of the Vengeance K90 gaming keyboard makes connecting your mouse or other USB devices a simple task.

4 out of 5 eggsK90 Solid gaming board

Pros: -Solid build, feels quality and sturdy
-Thick/solid cord
-Utility software to assist in setting up macros (Basic macros like copy/paste, open specific .exe)

Cons: -I have zero prior macro recording experience with keyboards. The basics are super easy using utility software, but anything advanced is very tricky to work into macros.
-After extensive searching on corsair sight, conclusion is that they also don't know how to macro in-game controls. It's frustrating I can't find anything helpful to assist in setting up basic key inputs on the macro-board in-game.

Other Thoughts: It's a great keyboard, fantastic upgrade over ANY non-mechanical. There are plenty of macro-keys for the taking; however, setting them up for any specific in-game control has been impossible for me (lack of info online & lack of prior experience).

4 out of 5 eggsMY first mechanical keyboard

Pros: -nice response
-backlit keys
-I like the volume wheel control at the top-right

Cons: -keys are a bit too soft for me
-expensive

Other Thoughts: This is my first mechanical keyboard so I didn't know about the soft/hard grading of the key pressures. I find that this key is a bit too soft for me. The keys are also "raised" up more than normal because of its low design, which takes getting used to. Overall, good keyboard, if a bit expensive.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing!

Pros: Great key response. You can play or type for hours with no fatigue. I use to play on an older keyboard and my knuckles would hurt after 4-5 hours straight of playing. The macros are easy to set up and switch around when playing different games.

Cons: Not all keys are mechanical, but really, they are the least used keys ever.

Other Thoughts: I love the blue back light of the keys.

4 out of 5 eggsnot bad but not perfect

Pros: Great overall keyboard, nice solid build, firm keys. Has good features like programmable keys, lighting options.

Cons: very loud key clicks! I hate to ever touch this keyboard if I'm on the phone, and while voice chatting with fellow gamers this keyboard is so annoying every time I talk there's always loud key clicks in the background. Wish it was less expensive, then it'd be a real value. It also has a problem with spurious "F" keys being entered, even though I never touched the "F" key, they'll show up from time to time. Also has intermittent, very infrequent but annoying, problem of repeating keys. I will go to hit a key and then I get 5 of them, or 10 and I wasn't holding it down.

Other Thoughts: not bad overall, but those "F" keys and sticking or repeating keys and the higher price keeps this from a 5 egg rating for me.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Nice

Pros: First let me say this is the nicest keyboard I've ever used. Its great design, and really like the feel of it. Programmed a ton of keys already, improved game play. Came in 2 days.

Cons: The drivers for this was a bit hard to find, accidentally got the firmware instead of the driver so was stuck 20 minutes finding that. Little big, Makes a little bit of noise i don't mind it.

Other Thoughts: Buy this keyboard if you interested in a very nice gaming one.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Keyboard

Pros: I love the blue back-lighting. The keys feel great and there are a ton of macro keys. The entire board feels very solid and all the keys are mounted to a nice piece of aluminum. The USB port on the keyboard for your mouse is great if you have your tower a good distance from your monitors like I do. The braided USB cable coming from the keyboard is thick and sturdy and splits into 2 USB dongles to connect to the computer. I can type much faster and games are very responsive. You can also hit almost the entire keyboard at the same time (if you so needed) and it will register every key press.

Cons: Not all of the keys are mechanical but the entire main keyboard and numpad and arrow keys are all mechanical which are all I use about 98% of the time.

Other Thoughts: Only the mechanical keys are backlit with the blue lights.

5 out of 5 eggsBOSS

Pros: Plugged up and worked right away. The lighting is great on this keyboard, the buttons are really responsive. In case you didnt know this keyboard isnt fully mechanical. All the "F" keys, the 9 keys by the number pad are not mechanical, and the dedicated keys are also not. Its built like a tank though. I really like the wheel for the volume control. Great buy.

Cons: None

4 out of 5 eggsSolid Keyboard...some problems

Pros: This keyboard speaks for itself. Corsair makes quality products and this is no exception. The aircraft aluminum makes this keyboard super solid...no flex at all. The pros are heavily enumerated in other comments so I won't repeat them.

Cons: So there are a couple things buyers need to beware of.

* 16 bit keyboard. This means that old BIOS systems may have trouble recognizing this keyboard at boot. For most people, this will be a non-issue since Legacy BIOS settings can be adjusted and most people never use their at BOOT capabilities. But be warned, if you dual boot Linux, you might have trouble in that GRUB loaders do not recognize the keyboard.

* Cherry Red MX switches are LINEAR. This wasn't mentioned anywhere where I bought the keyboard. This means the mechanical keys don't have that "click" tactile feedback when the keys register as pressed. This is a preference, but I greatly prefer non-linear switches. There have been many times where I have lightly depressed a key and had it accidentally register.

These aren't really cons...but I did deduct 1 egg for my troubles with GRUB.

Other Thoughts: This keyboard is still the best keyboard I have ever bought. And despite the linear switches, it is still a mechanical keyboard (it has increased my wpm and accuracy greatly).

Unfortunately, I am a Linux programmer, administrator, and regular user...so not having the keyboard work with my GRUB loader has been a giant pain. Up until recently I had my old Razer Lycosa also hooked into my desktop...but my girlfriend spilled a Pepsi straight into it...so that is no longer an option. I am still trying to find a workaround to get my K90 to work with GRUB.
