4 out of 5 eggsGreat Keyboard .... but

Pros: Great gaming keyboard, love the feel and response of it. I always use a lighted keyboard since I play mostly at night and don`t want to have room lights on.

Cons: Well after a couple of months lights started to fade or die out, not a real big issue until returning from vacation and shutting down my PC for two weeks, upon turning it back on most of the lights never came back on, tested it and found they are dead. put in a RMA that was accepted, but the issue here is I paid top dollard for a gaming lighted keyboard that does not light up anymore and it will cost me money to return it. Then I find out the replacement board is back ordered, so now have to wait.

Other Thoughts: I was a very loyal Logitech buyer until the reviews i read on the K95 ( 2013) made it the choice to go. Guess who is going back to Logitech. If you don`t need the back lights it is a great keyboard, but not for the price when some options don`t work.

3 out of 5 eggsLED's burn out

Pros: The keyboard itself is great, the keys feel nice and brushed metal finish makes this board look great! When working, the LED's look great and the multiple G keys are great for gaming.

Cons: After reading some of the reviews before I purchased this, I noticed a lot of people having issues with the LED's dying. I didn't think much of this and went ahead and bought this $140 keyboard anyway. Well. You should probably listen to the reviews. I feel stupid for buying this keyboard now that I have two keys burnt out (F11 and ENTER key on number pad). I am going to RMA the keyboard, but I have a bad feeling that this is going to be a bi-monthly thing.

Other Thoughts: If you aren't buying the keyboard for the LED's, then this is a great keyboard for you. If you don't want to RMA something often, then I suggest you look elsewhere. I think I may have overrated this item with three eggs. If I am going to pay $140 for a keyboard, I expect it to be one of the best I can find. However I now have a expensive broken keyboard in front of me. I am now hesitant to buy any of Corsair's products after my experience with this. I should have just stuck with my gut and gotten a Logitech keyboard.

5 out of 5 eggsAWESOME!

Pros: 1) Best Mechanical Keyboard Ever!
2) I like how the "Corsair" logo is subtle and black and there's nothing to distract you from looking at the keys or the feel of the keys.
3) I also like the comfortable hand rest which I usually don't with these things. But it's a hard hand rest so I'll probably buy another gel pad.

Cons: 1) Only has a "white" light, for some reason Corsair removed the ability to have multiple colors on this keyboard, I really love blue keys. But the white is fine in the dark on the lowest setting. I wish there was a way to INCREMENTALLY adjust the brightness of the keys instead of 0%, 33%,66%, and 100% brightness. It would have made more sense to have 0, 25, 50, 76, and 100% instead. But it's really a very minor nit pick.

Other Thoughts: I think the price on this thing should drop to $100 to compete with the Logitech keyboards, especially since this model doesn't have multi-color key options. I'm hoping that keys don't stick like they did on the previous multi-color model they had last year. So far I don't see this happening, the design seems to be a bit more solid. I highly recommend this for anyone that likes big keyboards, easy to read keys, fast response, and in general an "old-school" feel keyboard.

4 out of 5 eggsLED Lights don't last

Pros: Over all a great keyboard and very responsive.

Cons: I have had this since Christmas 2013 and I have 18 LED lights already burned out.

This next complaint is a little nit picky so take it with a grain of salt. The caps lock button is way to close to the "A" button. I am constantly hitting it when I am typing. Of course it doesn't help that I have big fingers, but I never had this issue with any other keyboard

Other Thoughts: I would have given it a 5 if not for the LED's burning out.

4 out of 5 eggsGood for Gaming NOT typing

Pros: Looks great, Awesome features

Cons: Too sensitive for typing

Other Thoughts: This is my #1 choice of Keyboard for gaming and my last choice for typing. The keys are so sensitive that if you are not an expert in typing (I am not) you will make so many mistakes it will drive you nuts!

3 out of 5 eggsLimited Use

Pros: Looks beautiful when unboxed
Feels / sounds great when in mint condition
Was great for ~6 months

Cons: Well, the first one was DOA, so there's that.

The one I've since had has deteriorated rapidly over time.

My "M" key has broken three times, where it fits on top of the switch, the key simply breaks. I first swapped M with the right windows key -- that then broke. Then swapped with the Properties key. That also broke. I do game, but the M key is hardly used in the games I play. I don't understand why the key keeps breaking.

The backlights on random keys are now deciding to simply go out - about 1 new one per week. Even the G keys (which I have literally never used) are going out. I have not once spilled anything on the keyboard.

Other Thoughts: For $150 dollars I would expect at least several years of flawless usage. I will never be purchasing a Corsair keyboard again.

2 out of 5 eggsLimited lifespan

Pros: Nice gaming keyboard. Works as advertised.

Cons: Have owned this keyboard for 10 months and the led's are starting to fail.

Other Thoughts: Not worth the high price for it to not last 1 year.

1 out of 5 eggsBurned out L.E.Ds

Pros: Easy to type on
Mechanical switches are a dream
Good customization

Cons: Both mine and two of my friends have all experienced burned out keys.

It should be noted that I turn the back lighting off every time I'm not using the keyboard.

Unless you really want the G-keys I would recommend that you buy from a different company. If you don't have a spare keyboard around it can be very aggravating to RMA.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,

1 out of 5 eggsNot good

Pros: Very nice clicky sound and that's about it.

Cons: Volume stopped working back in January, I requested a ram they approved it but they wanted me o pay for shipping which I thought it was unfair, so I decided to just live with it, but now the led does not work on 6 keys, for some reason my #9 key is super soft , not clicky. . I requested another ram today, but I just realized it's been a little over a year since I purchased it, so I'm pretty sure I won't be getting a replacement.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,

We're deeply sorry for the burnt out LEDs. We offer two year warranties on all of our keyboards, so if you're still interested in getting a replacement you may reach us at 888-222-4346 or you may submit a ticket at corsair.force.com.

1 out of 5 eggsSkip This One

Pros: - Keyboard feels solid, no flexing of the base.
- Perfect feedback with keystrokes
- Excellent features and programmability
- Gorgeous to look at
- Immediate response time

Cons: - LEDs started dying within a few months and I am now up to 40+ failed LEDs.

Other Thoughts: If you want a solid keyboard and do NOT care about the lighting, it's incredible. The build quality in regards to the lighting leaves a lot to be desired, especially for a keyboard in this price range. I have heard about and seen so many complaints about the LED problems and RMA requests for this problem that I have to wonder if Corsair needs to rethink the engineering on this product.

I'm a huge fan of Corsair products, but this is seriously making me rethink my brand loyalties.
