3 out of 5 eggsBe careful.

Pros: The best mechanical keyboard I've ever used. Aside from the con below.

Cons: After a little more than a year of owning this.. the LEDs are starting to fail. Last week only one had failed. Woke up this morning and 6 more are out. Going to contact Corsair tomorrow morning and see if I can get a replacement. After paying so much you'd expect a keyboard to function perfectly for YEARS to come.

Other Thoughts: N/A

2 out of 5 eggsMy first mechanical keyboard.

Pros: - Action feels decent.
- LEDs were nice for the first few weeks.

Cons: - Huge
- Keys seem oddly "tall", I had little clearance between the keyboard and my desk.
- LED failures. I had this keyboard for three weeks before the first LED failed, after that they stopped working one by one until I replaced it, after about six burnt out.

Other Thoughts: I used it incredibly lightly. I work every day from 10 to 8, meaning on average I only use it for 2-3 hours per day at night. For it to have had all those LED failures with such usage- I am extremely disappointed. I bought it for the Corsair name, as I have various other parts of my build from them and have been satisfied with their quality.

I bought a Razer BlackWidow Chroma to replace this one, and have been completely satisfied with it. No burnt out LEDs, nothing.

1 out of 5 eggsShoddy LEDs

Pros: Wonderful finish, sleek look, doesn't have the new Corsair "trampstamp" gaming badge, cherry reds are a pleasure to type on.

Cons: I have owned the keyboard for 2 months. In that time, not one, not two, not three, but TEN LEDs have gone out.

On a product that costs in excess of $100 this is unacceptable.

Other Thoughts: I don't know what's happened to Corsair in the past two years, but they need to do a bit of soul searching lest they become as much of a joke as razer.

Manufacturer Response:

3 out of 5 eggsFailing LED's

Pros: Beautiful, sleek, and feels sturdy. Great typing action.

Cons: Failing LED's

I was optimistic after receiving this as a gift, because I have always loved Corsair products, but now, ~3 months after receiving, 4 LED's have failed.

Corsair is willing to replace it, but only if I pay the shipping! For a keyboard that, according to numerous reviews obviously has lighting issues, and is $150, it's crazy that I should be expected to ship this defective product back.

Other Thoughts: I'm going to Keep this model, the LED's are a huge dissapointment, but I'd rather save the $$$ to ship this towards a new, more reliable keyboard.

4 out of 5 eggsgreat keyboard, bad lights

Pros: The keyboard feels great. It's very responsive and the software is easy to use.

Cons: The light's can't be replaced. A full RMA is needed if a light goes out. I RMA'ed it once and within two months 3 lights had gone out on the new one.

3 out of 5 eggsDecent keyboard, bad LED's, and poor customer service.

Pros: The keyboard itself is amazing. I love the light touch needed to activate the keys. I would have to say this is one of the best performing keyboards I've used.

Cons: After 8 months of using this keyboard I noticed the LED's starting going out on it. I was able to get a replacement from Corsair 2 months ago. Now my replacement keyboard is having LED's go out on it again. Corsair said they would replace it again, but I'm not interesting in getting another keyboard only to have the LED's go out on it again. They offered a refund, but they are going to charge me 10% for a "usage fee". Excuse me? This is clearly a defect in the quality of LED's you decided to use, and therefore is a product defect. Corsair ticket #6523563

Other Thoughts: I don't think I will be recommending Corsair keyboards to anyone anytime soon.

4 out of 5 eggsKeys died

Pros: Extremely sturdy, extremely solid chassis. Keys give excellent tactile and auditory feedback.

Cons: Key lights started dying after 7 months. Eventually had Corsair replace it with a new one. Replacement process took a long time, because they had none in stock. They gave me an express replacement when they did come back in stock, but it cost 18 dollars out of my pocket to ship the old one back to Corsair. Some keyboards cost less than that.

Other Thoughts: Corsair support aside, it's a good keyboard.

1 out of 5 eggsSo much fail

Pros: Mechanical gaming keyboard.

Cons: Led's fail.

Other Thoughts: Really Corsair? I have so many of your products fail and then you expect me to pay to ship your failed product back to you. No thanks. The last product fail was a power supply. I insisted for days that you pay for the shipping and you said no. The day after I paid $32.95 to return your broken product you emailed me a pre-paid shipping label. Too little too late. New Razer keyboard on it's way.

2 out of 5 eggsLED lights have begun to fail

Pros: Red keys are really soft and great for if you have tendonitis like myself.

Cons: Got this back at the end of April 2014 and noticed today (Nov 2014) that one LED light has failed. I've never gamed with it and only have this keyboard because it does not aggravate my tendonitis as much as other membrane keyboards. I only use it for an average of 4 hrs a day, sometimes even less, I am never belligerent or agressive with stroking the keys (due to my tendonitis) and yet the LEDs are already starting to fail. Not too happy about this being how I spent $150.00 expecting quality...

Shortly after getting this model, the CH-9000081-NA came out. Not sure what the difference is but I don't think it's major. I'd love it if someone can tell me the difference is.

Other Thoughts: I will continue to use this for now but if more LEDs fail, I will initaite a RMA. Good thing I kept my Logitech G series keyboard.

1 out of 5 eggslike it, but!

Pros: Nice solid gaming keyboard, like the usb port being there.

Cons: Have only had this for 4 months and I already have 8 keys that the leds have went out on. From looking on Corsairs support site this is a common thing.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear customer,

We apologize for the inconvenience. Please contact us by submitting a ticket at corsair.force.com or calling us at 888-222-4346 and we'll be more than happy to issue you a replacement.
