1 out of 5 eggsSo much fail

Pros: Mechanical gaming keyboard.

Cons: Led's fail.

Other Thoughts: Really Corsair? I have so many of your products fail and then you expect me to pay to ship your failed product back to you. No thanks. The last product fail was a power supply. I insisted for days that you pay for the shipping and you said no. The day after I paid $32.95 to return your broken product you emailed me a pre-paid shipping label. Too little too late. New Razer keyboard on it's way.

2 out of 5 eggsLED lights have begun to fail

Pros: Red keys are really soft and great for if you have tendonitis like myself.

Cons: Got this back at the end of April 2014 and noticed today (Nov 2014) that one LED light has failed. I've never gamed with it and only have this keyboard because it does not aggravate my tendonitis as much as other membrane keyboards. I only use it for an average of 4 hrs a day, sometimes even less, I am never belligerent or agressive with stroking the keys (due to my tendonitis) and yet the LEDs are already starting to fail. Not too happy about this being how I spent $150.00 expecting quality...

Shortly after getting this model, the CH-9000081-NA came out. Not sure what the difference is but I don't think it's major. I'd love it if someone can tell me the difference is.

Other Thoughts: I will continue to use this for now but if more LEDs fail, I will initaite a RMA. Good thing I kept my Logitech G series keyboard.

1 out of 5 eggslike it, but!

Pros: Nice solid gaming keyboard, like the usb port being there.

Cons: Have only had this for 4 months and I already have 8 keys that the leds have went out on. From looking on Corsairs support site this is a common thing.

Pros: Very responsive keys. Custom lighting is awesome. Love the multiple profiles.

Cons: It's big. So only get it if you have plenty of room.

3 out of 5 eggsKeys Die

Pros: Good mechanical keyboard. Satisfying to type on.

Cons: 36 of the led lights have died.

Other Thoughts: Wouldn't recommend due to dead lights.

2 out of 5 eggsGood Keyboard, but has issues

Pros: Awesome typing feel
Wonderful key action for typing (I'm a developer so I'm also typing)
Good feature set
Volume wheel is awesome

Cons: Backlighting - I've had the keyboard for roughly 3 months now, and the light under the "I' and the down arrow keys have quit working. It doesn't seem to affect that type typing at all, but with the cost of this keyboard, I would have expected more than 3 months before the LEDs started going out on the keys.

Loud - While the mechanical keyboard action is awesome, be aware that it IS very loud. My office is a corner of my bedroom and my wife has repeatedly stated that this keyboard will not only keep her awake, but also wake up from sleeping. Personally, the sound doesn't bother me as I type, but it is somewhat noisy.

Other Thoughts: Overall, if you're looking for a great keyboard to actually type on, this is a great one. If you're looking for something that all the features are going to last, you may want to look elsewhere.

4 out of 5 eggsReally good

Pros: This is an amazing keyboard I could instantly fee the difference in everything i did. It was easier to push down keys the lighting was bright. The keyboard felt good. The volume roller is very nice. NO DEAD LEDS!!!

Cons: The keyboard died after 8 months. This keyboard collects material like crazy and needs air to clean out or removal of the keys. The software doesn't always save macros to internal memory.

Manufacturer Response:

1 out of 5 eggsCoffee spill made it non-functional

Pros: Nice mechanical keyboard with lighting. Enjoyed it until a spill caused it to fail and exposed design deficiencies.

Cons: Poor design means it is very hard to impossible to repair or even clean after a spill leaves a key repeating continuously.

Other Thoughts: The metal keyboard tray and main circuit board are basically bonded together meaning you can't see / clean / fix any problems. Also the lack of a protective coating on a lot of exposed conductors means spills and/or dirt will eventually cause parts of it to fail - like leds etc.

5 out of 5 eggsBuy it for the macro keys

Pros: After a little more than a year with my K95, I’m very happy with it. The board has a solid feel, I type fast and comfortably with the Cherry red key switches. and the media controls are very convenient. But the feature that makes the board for me is the macro keys, which I use all the time -- they save me a lot of time and agggravation.

Cons: Lots of people have had trouble with the led backlighting. I don’t use the lights and keep them turned off, so I wouldn’t know if they were working or not (last time I checked, they all were).

Other Thoughts: The one mod I made to the board is to install o-rings on the three main rows of the keyboard (alphabet & punctuation keys) --- I like the slightly softer feel and typing is much quieter, which my wife appreciates when I’m working late at night.
