4 out of 5 eggsLED Lights don't last

Pros: Over all a great keyboard and very responsive.

Cons: I have had this since Christmas 2013 and I have 18 LED lights already burned out.

This next complaint is a little nit picky so take it with a grain of salt. The caps lock button is way to close to the "A" button. I am constantly hitting it when I am typing. Of course it doesn't help that I have big fingers, but I never had this issue with any other keyboard

Other Thoughts: I would have given it a 5 if not for the LED's burning out.

4 out of 5 eggsGood for Gaming NOT typing

Pros: Looks great, Awesome features

Cons: Too sensitive for typing

Other Thoughts: This is my #1 choice of Keyboard for gaming and my last choice for typing. The keys are so sensitive that if you are not an expert in typing (I am not) you will make so many mistakes it will drive you nuts!

3 out of 5 eggsLimited Use

Pros: Looks beautiful when unboxed
Feels / sounds great when in mint condition
Was great for ~6 months

Cons: Well, the first one was DOA, so there's that.

The one I've since had has deteriorated rapidly over time.

My "M" key has broken three times, where it fits on top of the switch, the key simply breaks. I first swapped M with the right windows key -- that then broke. Then swapped with the Properties key. That also broke. I do game, but the M key is hardly used in the games I play. I don't understand why the key keeps breaking.

The backlights on random keys are now deciding to simply go out - about 1 new one per week. Even the G keys (which I have literally never used) are going out. I have not once spilled anything on the keyboard.

Other Thoughts: For $150 dollars I would expect at least several years of flawless usage. I will never be purchasing a Corsair keyboard again.

2 out of 5 eggsLimited lifespan

Pros: Nice gaming keyboard. Works as advertised.

Cons: Have owned this keyboard for 10 months and the led's are starting to fail.

Other Thoughts: Not worth the high price for it to not last 1 year.

1 out of 5 eggsBurned out L.E.Ds

Pros: Easy to type on
Mechanical switches are a dream
Good customization

Cons: Both mine and two of my friends have all experienced burned out keys.

It should be noted that I turn the back lighting off every time I'm not using the keyboard.

Unless you really want the G-keys I would recommend that you buy from a different company. If you don't have a spare keyboard around it can be very aggravating to RMA.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,

We're deeply sorry to hear that your LED are burning out. Please contact us at 888-222-4346 or submit a ticket at corsair.force.com and we'll be more than happy to replace the keyboard for you.

1 out of 5 eggsNot good

Pros: Very nice clicky sound and that's about it.

Cons: Volume stopped working back in January, I requested a ram they approved it but they wanted me o pay for shipping which I thought it was unfair, so I decided to just live with it, but now the led does not work on 6 keys, for some reason my #9 key is super soft , not clicky. . I requested another ram today, but I just realized it's been a little over a year since I purchased it, so I'm pretty sure I won't be getting a replacement.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,

We're deeply sorry for the burnt out LEDs. We offer two year warranties on all of our keyboards, so if you're still interested in getting a replacement you may reach us at 888-222-4346 or you may submit a ticket at corsair.force.com.

1 out of 5 eggsSkip This One

Pros: - Keyboard feels solid, no flexing of the base.
- Perfect feedback with keystrokes
- Excellent features and programmability
- Gorgeous to look at
- Immediate response time

Cons: - LEDs started dying within a few months and I am now up to 40+ failed LEDs.

Other Thoughts: If you want a solid keyboard and do NOT care about the lighting, it's incredible. The build quality in regards to the lighting leaves a lot to be desired, especially for a keyboard in this price range. I have heard about and seen so many complaints about the LED problems and RMA requests for this problem that I have to wonder if Corsair needs to rethink the engineering on this product.

I'm a huge fan of Corsair products, but this is seriously making me rethink my brand loyalties.

1 out of 5 eggsDo Not Recommend...Wait For The RGB

Pros: Individualized key lights; 18x3 function keys; easy to use software; USB port; Mechanical keys - Cherry Reds

Cons: Individual Key LEDs burn out within a couple months.

Other Thoughts: I purchased this board from Newegg.com in August 2013. I am presently working on my third (that's 3rd) replacement (that's 4th K95 keyboard). The problem is the individual key LED's burn out prematurely. I received my present K95 on 5/6/2014. To date I have 18 LED’s burnt out (that’s just under 3 months). Corsair is acutely aware of this problem. To their credit, they have readily replaced all my defective K95s with brand new (NOT refurbished) models. And, in every case, they have supplied me with postage paid return labels (HOORAA Corsair). The Corsair customer service has been excellent on all accounts! One big limiting factor is the customer must wait until a new stock of K95s comes in. I'm presently waiting for an 8/18/2014 shipment to arrive before I can start the replacement process (which I am extremely familiar with) for this keyboard. Corsair says the follow-on (K95 RGB Gaming Mechanical Keyboard) will have more "robust" LED’s, and should not have this LED burnout problem. I would highly recommend waiting for the K95 RGB, which is scheduled to start retailing in August-September 2014. I am hoping Corsair offers an upgrade replacement deal for the unfortunate owner's of this model of the K95 keyboard (CH-9000020-NA).

4 out of 5 eggsSo many burnt out LEDs

Pros: Excellent Keyboard
Very nice volume and media keys
Good quality Keycaps
Sturdy
Macros, so many macros
Plenty of keyboard lighting options

Cons: LEDs tend to burn out quickly

Other Thoughts: The [U, S, D, F, K, Semicolon, open bracket, F6, F12, , L-ALT, L-Win, Num 7, and Num Enter] keys all have burnt out after 8 months of use. What bothers me is that the keys I barely used burnt out before the ones I use non stop. The keys them selves still work fine, but it looks like garbage when you pay so much money for it not to light up.

Because of this, I can no longer use the lighting feature of this keyboard.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,

Pros: Back lit, mechanical cherry red mx, solid build quality. (plastic and aluminum). wrist wrest is comfortable.

Cons: Only one LED color white.

Other Thoughts: I would wate a few months before upgrading your keyboard. THIS keyboard is comming out as a fully mechanical keyboard with 16.8 million RGB color
