3 out of 5 eggsMixed feelings

Pros: Fantastic feel, nice and loud, sturdy build quality.

Cons: 7 months later i have about 30 dead LEDs. 30!! So i am currently in the RMA process. It wouldn't' bother me nearly as much if there weren't so many dead bulbs.

Other Thoughts: This is my first mechanical keyboard and think its great. Make sure to research the switches to see if blue is right for you however. I have no qualms with it.

2 out of 5 eggsGreat while it lasted

Pros: This keyboard is a dream to type on and feels amazing. I used this mainly at work and not as a "gaming" keyboard. I actually looked forward to typing long emails with this because it just felt so nice. It is pretty loud, so if you have people around you in a work environment, it may get a bit annoying.

Cons: After docking my laptop to my port replicator after a meeting, the keyboard just stopped altogether. Basically no lights or functionality at all. I've had much cheaper keyboards that have lasted several connects/disconnects on the same port replicator that have never shorted out or failed. I'm not sure if this activity was the cause for the death of this thing, but one week of use before breaking is not a good experience no matter what the cause.

Other Thoughts: I paid my $12 blood money (return shipping) to RMA my keyboard that I got to use for one week. Now it appears they are out of stock so I will probably end up just getting a refund (minus $12 'rental fee') or just waiting a while for a replacement. So even if the next one lasts a while, I had the awesome opportunity to spend $12 more than I should have for 1 week of use and a lot of waiting.

3 out of 5 eggsKeys' lights go out

Pros: When I first got it I loved the keyboard: great design, cool look, worked well, etc.

Cons: After about a month the back light on the 'M' key went out. A couple weeks later the 'Pause Break' key went out as well and then the 'R' key. At first it wasn't that big of a deal because they were only a couple. Today the 'A', 'Z', and '4' all went out. If this rate continues half the keys won't light up by the end of the year.

I just had higher expectations for the keyboard's durability, especially the light features, which was the reason I bought it in the first place.

Other Thoughts: Cool keyboard but don't be surprised if the backlight on some keys goes out.

5 out of 5 eggsBest keyboard I've ever owned

Pros: -Super clicky
-Very accurate and precise
-Sounds amazing
-I feel like I can almost type faster now

Cons: None. Honestly there really is none. You get what you pay for with an MX Blue keyboard.

Other Thoughts: If you are thinking about buying this keyboard, do it. You will not regret it.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Keyboard

Pros: - Cherry MX Switches
- Per-key programmable backlighting
- textured gaming keys
- textured wrist pad
- Great media keys

Cons: - Uneven backlighting

Other Thoughts: I chose this keyboard to upgrade my DasKeyboard. I was most interested in having a backlit keyboard. Very satisfied with this product. Although the backlighting on the keys isn't even (keys with markings on the lower half of the key show the lower half with less illumination, due to the placement of the leds under the keycaps), it still works great for gaming in the dark. I particularly like the textured keycaps for the 1-6 and WASD keys. The media keys are great, especially the volume roller.

4 out of 5 eggsOutstanding Keyboard

Pros: All metal construction (except for the keys of course).
Mechanical Cherry MX Blue.
Individually lit keys with multiple intensity settings and able to control which individual keys you want lit.
Braided USB cords. There's two of them, one for the keyboard and one for the USB port on the back.

Cons: The individually lit keys are a bit of a liability in the sense that the LEDs can and will go out.
It's the only con I have with this keyboard and the reason why I took one egg off.
Having said that, I don't personally mind the two LEDs that have gone out on mine... I almost never use them anyway. But still, at this price point and with a keyboard made to otherwise such high standards, the LEDs should all work flawlessly.

Other Thoughts: I don't use the lit keys all that much. So the two bad LEDs on mine (they did work properly when the keyboard arrived... and no, it is not that I changed the settings on them), for me personally they are not a reason to RMA the keyboard. I bought this keyboard because of the Cherry MX Blue keys... I absolutely love them! They have an outstanding tactile feedback sensation as well as an extremely satisfying click sound (at least to me).
Yes, it is loud, quite loud. But that's exactly what I was looking for.
I highly recommend this keyboard. Get one!! (just be warned about the LEDs... Corsair, please fix this with your future products)

Manufacturer Response:

Hi Enrique,
I agree, even one LED out isn't acceptable. I'd recommend that you contact our Tech Support team using the following link and they would be happy to replace the unit for you through an RMA.

4 out of 5 eggsNice keyboard

Pros: Build quality looks and feels good. The backlight is not too bright, and is very consistent. The media keys are quite useful. Nice palmrest. Looks good. Good cable quality.

Cons: The cable is quite stiff, can be hard to connect. The keys can wobble about a bit. Taking them off could be risking the lifetime as they feel like they bend a lot. The clips for the palm rest feel a bit flimsy.

Other Thoughts: Seems like these have backlight issues, don't have any yet.
