5 out of 5 eggsMechanical Excellence

Pros: Solid construction and ease of cleaning are very good, probably the next best feature to this keyboard after the Cherry MX switches that it comes with. If you have pets and ones that insist on sitting on your desk while gaming and/or working cant go wrong with this keyboard, simple q-tip is all you need to get at dust that cant be blown off the aluminum surface. The individually lighted keys are uniform in brightness and programming the patterns is easy as can be.

Cons: The only con is that it doesn't have a built in audio and microphone jacks built in, for 129.99 it would be nice to have the option to have if you use analog headphones and your case sits on the ground. That is about it really.

Other Thoughts: Maybe offer the K70 with MX Browns in anodized black to better match anodized cases like the TJ09 or Obsidian Series. I love the gunmetal color but does not match well with my anodized black case.

1 out of 5 eggsFord Pinto of keyboards

Pros: Great mechanical keyboard action. Nice Style.

Cons: The leds have been constantly failing after about 5 months. Google "Corsair dead LED", and you find this is a very common problem with the sliver/blue led keyboard.

Other Thoughts: I would have giving it a higher rating if not for the fact that this is supposed to be a premium keyboard. At this price its unacceptable. No point in returning to vendor, a replacement would have the same problem. Corsair refuses to acknowledge a problem on their forums. Never buying a corsair again.

5 out of 5 eggsMy review

Pros: It seems like this keyboard is very durable, surviving a 1/2 of coffee to rise like a Phoenix from the ashes! I still have a couple of sticky keys, but with time they are all performing like champ!

Cons: Absolutely none!

Other Thoughts: This keyboard matches perfectly with my NZXT Phantom 820 gunmetal case!

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: All the essentials, very few useless frills. Feels great, solid, responsive. The slight texture to the keys and wrist support are nice. I'm a fan of the keys too; that nice tactile feel.

Cons: Lighting cannot be customized. It's off, 14 on, or all on.

The keys were a little loud and deep for me, so I bought some dampeners. Feels a bit better now.

Cost/benefit as compared to more generic boards; see below.

Other Thoughts: While this is a great board, I had been using a random generic Dell board for something like 6 years and, honestly, this thing is only marginally better. I decided to keep this Corsair regardless, but I definitely have more respect for my old mechanical Dell now.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic Keyboard

Pros: Design- Corsair really put alot of thought into this and it shows. The adjustable backlight intensity, volume wheel (much better than a button as it allows finer control), and the premium aluminum finishes are fantastic. The most brilliant thing though is that the keys are raised high above the base. IT IS SO EASY TO CLEAN! Why this isn't more common makes no sense to me.

Satisfying click with a light tactile feedback is great.

I just love this keyboard

Cons: Price? I can see how many people would be turned off by the price, but it really is worth any penny. Once you feel the difference you will understand.

Other Thoughts: Read up on the different types of mechanical switches before you buy. If you have a place with keyboards on display go play with them a bit to get an idea of what suits you best. I almost bought the reds, but then tried the browns out at a local store and realized what a mistake the reds would have been for me personally

4 out of 5 eggsGreat, but not flawless..

Pros: LED's are bright and very high quality.
Cherry MX "Brown" feels amazing and aren't overly clicky
The brushed aluminum looks very nice.
The whole keyboard feels like it was made with high quality parts
The red, textured, WASD keys feel very good and have a slight grippy feel
The keyboards audio controller is very useful and feels natural to use.
The whole keyboard feels very reliable and sturdy.

Cons: Although the keyboard feels very high quality, it is lacking in features.
There are no programmable keys.
The bottom of the numbered keys don't light up well because the Cherry MX keys block light from escaping.
Slightly overpriced

Other Thoughts: I am Confident that this keyboard will last forever

5 out of 5 eggsSturdy precise keyboard with great feel.

Pros: This is my first mechanical keyboard. I have used various mechanical keyboards for work, but this is the first one that I have had for my home computer. I got the Cherry MX Brown after reading quite a few reviews. I wanted something between the Red and the Blue. So Brown it was.

The key strokes feel very clean and have a satisfying response. It is a bit more "clicky" than my old Logitec K350. However my old K350 is a Pig compared to this hot rod Lincoln. On the one hand I liked the ergonomic layout of the Logitec (that will probably change with time) but the keys used to bind up and sometimes show great resistance when gaming, so it had to go.

I like the functionality as well. It has everything that you need, and little of what you do not. It has things that I have not ever had available, such as the back-lights, (although, not too sure how much I will use them) and a pretty sweet volume roller control.

I feel this is one of the sharpest looking keyboards out there. Mine is gunmetal grey with black keys and blue back-lighting. The palm rest is subtle and effective. It feels solid and locks into place very solid to keyboard. The braided cord running from the back also speaks to the overall quality and care that you should expect when forking over your hard earned money for an upper tier keyboard. I have not used the pass-through USB yet. Perhaps I will use it when / if I get a wired mouse for gaming.

Cons: Not really a con, but coming from an ergonomic keyboard, it might take a while to feel at home, finding the home keys. (pun intended) It makes me sort of wish that the home markers where just a bit more obvious. However this is not totally fair due to the fact that I am still adjusting and my old keyboard have a very distinct feel and was very easy to tell where your fingers where. Mainly this only happens when I am gaming though and I am sure my new sense of "center" will come with time.

Other Thoughts: Very responsive keyboard. I feel that it will make me better at typing overall due to it's ability to read every stroke. If you have a sloppy stroke, you will find out very quickly.

5 out of 5 eggsGetting there...

Pros: The Metal frame makes the keyboard stiff and it does not move around when pressing the keys.
The tactile feedback on the browns are good, but could be a little more pronounced.
It does make a small sound when you kit the key which is good for typing, and it is not too loud like the blue switches were.
The wrist rest is OK, but it could have had a thicker pad on it.

Cons: The back is nice but does not cover light up the entire key on the dual function keys.

Other Thoughts: They do not make the keyboards in MX Cherry Clear.
I was hoping it would take a little more pressure to push down the keys. I am used to the heavier keys that are from years back.

4 out of 5 eggslove this keyboard...but...

Pros: Incredible feel.. cherry brown is the best for typing hands down. I type 20% faster using this keyboard over others, perfect key size and placement. perfect angle...but...

Cons: after two months i have two key LED lights outs. the "L" and the "CTRL" are dark and do not light up at any brightness level.

Other Thoughts: email'd corsair support.. have not heard back.. its been 4 or 5 days now..
