Virtually Unlimited Customization

The Vengeance K70 RGB mechanical gaming keyboard begins with the performance of the legendary Vengeance K70, and adds multicolor per-key backlighting for virtually unlimited customization.

Every key is backed with a cherry MX RGB key switch for precise actuation and superior feel, and full key rollover and anti-ghosting ensure accurate gameplay.

Multi-Color, Per-Key Backlighting for Virtually Unlimited Customization
Every one of the keys can be assigned a unique backlighting color from a palette of 16.8 million. This gives you opportunities for key binding that you've never seen before in a mechanical keyboard.

Mechanical Key Switches for Ultimate Performance
For reliability and consistency, there's no substitute for Cherry MX mechanical key switches. The K70 RGB uses Cherry MX Red switches for super-fast actuation time and smooth, linear key response for ultra fast double and triple taps without the audible click.

Aircraft-Grade Black Anodized Brushed Aluminum Finish
You get impressive looks, light weight, and the rugged durability you need for a keyboard that's going to see a lot of action.

100% Anti-Ghosting with Full Key Rollover on USB
Every keystroke translates into accurate gameplay - even when multiple keys are pressed. There's no signal degradation, and it keeps up with you, no matter how fast you play.

Detachable Soft-Touch Wrist Rest
Give your wrists a break, or take it off if it gets in the way.

Assign Macros to Any Key
Just one more reason why the K70 RGB is one of the most advanced gaming keyboards the world has ever seen – you can set up any key to trigger a macro. The all-new control panel software makes it easy. FPS, MOBA, or even Minecraft - the K70 RGB has it covered.

Fast and Fluid RGB Animation
The K70 RGB uses a Panasonic display controller for amazing multicolor light shows -- pulsing, waving and cascading lighting in 16.8 million colors.

Onboard Memory Takes Performance and Lighting Settings with You
Do you take your gaming to go? Built-in storage lets you set it up once, and take it anywhere.

Easy-Access, Dedicated Multimedia Controls
You don't just play games - you play music and video, too. Play, stop, pause, skip tracks and adjust volume directly from the K70.

All-New Desktop Control Software
Design your own per-key 16.8 million color lighting patterns, select unique lighting for each key independently for your favorite games, or use the sophisticated macro programming tool.

2 out of 5 eggsNot happy at all!

Pros: It looks nice, when it works.

Cons: The animation constantly freezes up. Accidentally bump a couple keys at once, it freezes. Playing Far Cry 4 and push 2 or 3 keys at once, it freezes. I have all the newest firmware and software. I recently re-installed Windows. I have uninstalled the keyboard from device manager and re-installed everything in different USB ports and re-installed the software. I've tried ever position on the bios switch and have only found one that will actually work fairly well. Meaning I can us it general purpose and the animation works fine, but eventually playing a game and needing to press multiple keys at once inevitably freezes it up again. This is ridiculous at the price point I paid. If I wanted a statically lit keyboard I would have bough one and saved half the cash.

Other Thoughts: I own a lot of Corsair stuff. Usually its the highest quality. I tend to be fiercely brand loyal and deck my rig out in all same brand parts if I can. My case, my PSU, all my fans, are all Corsair and rock solid. This keyboard while solidly built does not work as advertised. It is defective. I bought it on pre-order because I was so excited about getting one and I never do that kind of thing. But I figured as solid as Corsair was they would have it right, and I was wrong. This will make me question all future Corsair purchases.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Keyboard.

Pros: 1: Works immediately out of the box.

2 : Colors look amazing.

3 : The software is pretty easy to learn some nice basic lighting effects with. (Reactive typing, ripple effects, etc.)

4 : Detachable (included) wrist rest.

5 : On-board media keys.

6 : Every key is FULLY programmable. (Including the media keys, and windows lock button)

7: Cheaper than some Dome keyboards (albeit, definitely not cheap)

8 : No top plate for easy key-cap removal and easy clean-up.

9 : Good quality Cherry MX switches. (No Chinese Kailh) Even though Reds wouldn't be my first choice, they still feel nice.

10 : LEDs are very bright.

Cons: 1 : The 16.8 color sticker and selling point is probably not true. The colors on a full spectrum show kind of obvious changing. (Not noticeable unless you get really close.

2 : $170 is pretty steep for a keyboard, but I would say you're really getting what you're paying for. Very high build quality.

Nothing else really. Except for that the software completely blanks out a ripple if the time is lowered, not just finishing that last ripple.

Other Thoughts: There have been quite a few complaints about dead LEDs, which I haven't seen yet, but be wary.

One thing about the software. If keys are set in a group, when you override the color it is. It will blend the 2 colors. But only if it's in agroup.

1 out of 5 eggsWaste of money

Pros: It lights up.

Cons: Only sometimes works correctly.

see other thoughts.

Other Thoughts: I bought this knowing that it would probably not work but I thought a firmware update will fix it.

Even after 3 firmware updates the keyboard still does not function correctly.

Sometimes if i unplug it and plug it back in it would work for a little while. By work I mean use the correct profile and actually change brightness levels when you press the key. Now I cannot change the profile. The keyboard back-light is just white and I can change the brightness.

5 out of 5 eggsMy favorite keyboard.

Pros: First off.

This thing is just amazing right out of the box. The looks of it are just incredible. Slim, simple yet elegant. The palm rest is probably one of the best my palms have ever felt. It's not hard plastic and has a nice feel and comfortable at the same time. Packaging is great and was a pleasure to open. Coming from a steelseries keyboard I had to adjust, which took no more than 2-3 days. I found this keyboard to be easier to type on and the responsiveness of the red switches are great as well. I'm a big fan of red switches and have always used them, so take my word when I say that the response is on point you could say.

Customizations on color is out of this world, it's impossible to go through the million of color combination it possesses. As far as performance goes, the keyboard is spot on. Again, colors are endless and the effects are very nice and make the keyboard unique. Keyboard felt great when gaming and I don't feel any stress on my fingers.

Cons: Corsair's program for color and effect configuration could use more simplicity. I felt that everything was not well put and is somewhat tricky to use. I'm not going to compare it with other keyboard brand's software but I thought I had a clue when diving into the program but found myself on Youtube looking for tutorials. HOWEVER, shortly after watching a few videos on how to use the program it was rather easy afterwards. This is not a con but something I just wanted to note. If you can't find yourself changing colors out of the box, search around. There are a lot of people with this keyboard.

I wish the keyboard had a USB hub, being that the usb cable for the keyboard is very big. It is braided and feels of high quality and looks beastly.

- No macro keys, to some that may be a con, to me it wasn't.

Other Thoughts: I really enjoyed this keyboard and still do. If I ever feel the need to upgrade, I will surely be looking at Corsair's line of keyboards again. I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a great keyboard at a very reasonable price.

3 out of 5 eggsFunctional/Juvenile

Pros: - Very functional

Cons: - Backlighting bleeds tremendously
- Looks like it belongs in a 13 year old boys gaming setup
- Keys are clicky and still require somewhat of a long press(a nightmare for typing documents)

Other Thoughts: This a very functional keyboard but as the pros and cons suggest in my review, it depends what your looking for in a keyboard if you will appreciate it. Personally, I went with a Logitech k800, as the backlighting is very clean as is the design and the keys are quiet and require a very short stroke. the K800 also does not suffer from key roll over issues like the wired version so yes, you can hit W, Shift and spacebar and it will work.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Keyboard

Pros: Decent lighting.
Solid, stable construction.
Great key size, spacing, and resistance.
Media controls & Windows key lock.

Cons: As most people have already said - the software. It really is bad. Granted this could easily be changed in the future, it's absolutely terrible in it's current state.

I've also had a few minor issues here and there with the lighting effects. Suddenly my keyboard decides to default the key lights to "off" each time I turn on my PC, and I have no idea why this started. It's also had a few (again, minor) issues with lag. This usually clears up pretty quickly though.

Also, some of the colors can be pretty underwhelming. Certain colors just can't show as brightly as I'd like with the way the LEDs are set up. I've also noticed it's very hard to discern different colors on single keys (contrary to what's shown with the "rainbow" array in the product picture).

Other Thoughts: Overall, an amazing keyboard. Despite my "cons" section being significantly longer, none of the issues are big enough to justify me removing even 1 egg. The hardware is very well done and the software can be easily modified in the future.

3 out of 5 eggsGood Looking Keyboard

Pros: -Three available key switches. Mine are cherry mx reds.
-Black aluminum finish.
-Light and sophisticated looking. Easy to clean.
-Cheap but included wrist rest.

Cons: -Software is super unstable. Compared to synapse and logitechs gaming software, corsairs software is a huge disappointment.
-RGB limited to ~500 colors due to firmware and software issues.
-Only the surface of the keyboard is aluminum, the base and rest of the keyboard is plastic.

Other Thoughts: I'm going to be sticking with the Razer black widow for a little longer or at least until corsair's software is stabilized. I'm SATISFIED overall but I didn't get enough for what I paid. I would do more research about Corsair's software before purchasing this product.

3 out of 5 eggsCorsair Vengance K70

Pros: Great Keyboard. Raised switches make it super easy to clean. The red switches are great for gaming and oh yeah the RGB switches are amazing to look at.

Cons: Well you get corsair build quality but, the utility engine that you have to use to take advantage of the rgb is quite awful. The software is horrid and crashes at least three times a day. thought plugging into usb 2.0 would help but did not its the software not the hardware. I have to say Razer nailed it with their peripheral software is very forward and the UI is very easy to use. Aside form it crashing all the time it constantly asks to update the firmware of the board even after i have done it. I looked into it because im on an x99 platform, thought that may be the issue but its not many users are having issues on other platforms too and win7 and 8/8.1. Also it has no usb pass through like the previous k70s.

Other Thoughts: Its a great keyboard don't get me wrong just the software I'm knocking off two eggs for.
