5 out of 5 eggsGreat feel

Pros: Feels great when pressing. Not loud, good responsiveness.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Broke a key seat setting something heavy on it, my bad. Key still works, just sits gangster (sideways).

4 out of 5 eggsHigh quality construction, some quirks

Pros: Good looking, understated design. Snap-on handrest is well placed. Knurled sound knob is a nice touch, if a little bit gimmicky.

Keys have great feel to them. Good compromise for gaming and typing.

Floating keys design is very easy to clean crumbs/etc.

Works fine with standard USB KVM switch.

Cons: LED light coverage is uneven, and only available in red LED color

Caps/num lock indicator lights only work on Windows (not Mac/Linux)

Other Thoughts: If it had been available in blue/white LED color (discontinued), and if the caps lock indicator worked on a mac, would be 5 stars. Apparently they used some non-standard binding for caps lock, which is just sort of silly. Various sources on the interwebs indicate that the caps lock key (only) will work on a Mac if you flip the switch on the back of the unit to the BIOS setting, and it has other side-effects as well. I didn't bother to confirm because I use it on both a Mac and Windows system (via a standard USB KVM, which works just fine with this unit) and prefer to have it at the standard switch setting of 1ms polling.

The LED coverage is uneven: the !@#$%^&*() symbols on the number keys are well lit but the numbers themselves are not. Could have benefitted from an alternate key cap layout.

Most of the time I leave the LED lights off. Even on the lowest setting they're quite bright, and they reflect off the bottom plate quite a bit. Plus they're red, and the rest of my setup is either unlit, or lit white/blue. Red is a bit much.

1 out of 5 eggsGarbage

Pros: Great feel, perfect switches

Cons: LED's die randomly and PERMANENTLY
Buyer beware
Check the forums, this is way too common.
RMA will get you another one with bad led's

Other Thoughts: I refuse to buy Corsair keyboards ever again. Their customer service is slow and lackluster.

1 out of 5 eggsPoor Quality

Pros: switches are nice. she'll is nice.

Cons: keyboard lights go out randomly and PERMANENTLY. When I asked for a repair they insisted I send the unit back and do without a keyboard for months while they repair it, rather than sending me a new one with a return box for the broken one. For $100+ keyboard...I expect way more!

4 out of 5 eggsSolid Keyboard

Pros: Frame feels good, keys caps / key function also feel great. Not very finicky, solid design, plugged in straight out of the box with no issues. Lights are completely programmable out of the box.
I like the option of a USB pas-through so you don't have to deal with slow USB speeds on your peripherals.

Cons: Where's the blue LED's? Red is okay but not my first choice.

Other Thoughts: If you're willing to spend the extra, 30-40 bucks for the name and the styling of this keyboard i'd say go for it. If not I'm sure there are many other more economical options out there.

4 out of 5 eggsAwesome keyboard!

Pros: -It is a very comfortable keyboard, especially with the wrist rest attached.
-The keys feel good, although the noise will get have to get used to because I've been using a membrane keyboard for the past +4 years (nearly silent)
-The Gunmetal finish is quite nice and goes will with my silver Air540, the keyboard is also quite light even though the top exterior is metal.
-The red LEDs look good, nice and crisp. Don't think I would have liked the blue LEDs with the silver K70 they used to sell.

Cons: -The mechanical noise? I really can't think of anything right now. Maybe the braided cord is too sturdy? It was kind of tough getting it behind my monitors and into the mess of other cables, also doesn't sit flat across the desk.

Other Thoughts: Not really sure if this is a con, as it doesn't matter to me but instead of the special WASD keys I some how ended up with the keys QZSD . Quite the oddity, the 1-6 keys were fine though. I'm not to concerned about it since I wasn't going to use them anyways, but I guess this is a word of warning to those that want the WASD keys. Otherwise the rest of the keyboard just oozes quality and I feel I will be enjoying this one for a long time.
