5 out of 5 eggsBEST GAMING KEYBOARD!

Pros: This is the best gaming keyboard, being that i have spilt multiple drinks on this keyboard but it seems to keep on keeping on, as well as never having a problem with its functions!

Cons: Wish there was RGB Keyboard when i bought mine!

Other Thoughts: Get it NOW!

1 out of 5 eggsQuiet keys but died after a couple weeks

Pros: The keyboard worked great for a month or 2 but now all of the lighting is shorting out and all of the leds go out when windows starts. The keys do not respond in windows after just a regular restart

Cons: died after normal use after 2 months

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic Keyboard

Pros: Cherry MX Reds
Great keys
Comes with extra WASD keys
Red LEDs are bright
Feels incredibly solid
USB 3 port

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Never had an issue with this keyboard. I've gone through multiple Razer boards and a couple Cooler Masters but this is the absolute best that I have found.

2 out of 5 eggsMissing the the red A keycap

Pros: -good hefty feel
-great buidl quality
-keys are responsive
-easy to clean
-comes in with it's own keycap remover

Cons: -THE RED "A" KEYCAP IS MISSING FROM THE PACKAGE
- the keycap quality isn't quite as high as ducky shine 3 or other higher end keyboards
-wristguard isn't that useful
-no ps2 adapter

Other Thoughts: I just received this keyboard and I was really excited to open the box. Right as I was replacing the default black keycaps with the red "gamer ones" i noticed that I am missing the red A keycap. I do not know what to do, I could RMA it but this product is out of stock on newegg and pretty much anywhere else and I do not want the black colored version of this keyboard and that is the main reason why i bought this keyboard from newegg. i hope something can be done to replace this without having to settle for the black version as i really love the silver version. I'd probably rate this as 5 star if this issue can be fixed.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear customer,

We're sorry to hear that you're missing the red textured keys. Please submit a ticket at corsair.force.com or call us at 888-222-4346 and we'll send you a new set of textured keycaps.

5 out of 5 eggsVery nice keyboard

Pros: Cherry MX Red switches means a quiet, light-touch mechanical keyboard. These are non-tactile switches, so you get a smooth, silent depress all the way down, with the contact making a little more than halfway down. If you don't bottom out the switches as you type, this is a very quiet keyboard. Not having to bottom out the switches is a major advantage of mechanical keyboards verses rubber dome keyboards, which do not "make" until they hit the bottom. Over time, large amounts of typing on a mechanical keyboard is much less physically punishing to your fingers because of this.

Extremely well-constructed keyboard with a baseplate that isn't recessed, meaning that it's very easy to clean between the keys and anything that falls into the keys is much easier to remove than on a conventional keyboard with a recessed baseplate.

This keyboard has both anti-ghosting and "full key rollover"--which for a USB keyboard is limited to 6-key rollover. The limitation is in the interface, not the keyboard, and it would be a very unusual circumstance that would require you to press a seventh key while holding down six other keys. While only PS/2 keyboards have true n-key rollover, I can't imagine a circumstance in which you would actually notice the difference in real-world use.

The backlighting features are very nice with adjustable light levels and a couple of different modes, including one very cool mode where the backlighting "follows" the keys that you press as you type.

The media control keys are well-placed and the volume control roller is handy and works well.

Cons: There really aren't any "cons" that I have found on this keyboard.

I do wish it had PS/2 connectivity as well as that is my preferred interface for technical reasons including true n-key rollover.

Other Thoughts: This keyboard is not cheap but it is also a high-quality, fully featured gaming keyboard, and you do get a lot of "bang for the buck" with this one. Strongly recommended.

If you are new to mechanical keyboards, once you try one, you'll never go back to rubber-dome keyboards again.

4 out of 5 eggsGood build, dead LEDs

Pros: Cherry Red switches are incredible. Smooth and precise action.
Aluminum frame is above and beyond the standard plastic.
Media buttons work surprisingly well
Textured WASD buttons are a nice touch for most MMO and FPS gamers

Cons: LEDs have been going dead one by one since after the first month I owned it. Now a total of 14 LEDs have died and it just doesn't look as good without the backlighting.
Needs two USB ports and not for a pass through, just for power. Not enough to take an egg off for it but if you have a budget board, this isn't for you.

Other Thoughts: Really the LEDs are a bit of a disappointment to die so quickly. The new RGB keyboards don't have this problem as much I assume because their are built inside the switch itself. The performance of the board itself is unhindered though.
It really has a quality and heavy feel about it, even with the LEDs. The aluminum frame and housing is miles above the exhausted plastic look and feel I've come too familiar with in peripherals. It's a welcomed change and look in my opinion and Corsair's warranty department is unmatched so it won't be a problem for long.

1 out of 5 eggsHorrible Keyboard

Pros: This keyboard lasted 11 months before being culled due to its stuck keys and broken leds.

Cons: most of the leds went out . the first led went in less than a week and the remainder failed withing 11 months. The keys that control the led brightness and on/off settings became stuck causing n-key lag on my system. Not really what i expect from corsair or a 130 dollar keyboard.

Other Thoughts: I have corsair RAM, corsair watercooling, corsair PSU corsair case. All of these components are high end and function well. The keyboard i bought is certainly a piece of junk tho.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,

We're sorry to hear about the LEDs on the keyboard. If you would like a replacement, please contact us by submitting a ticket at corsair.force.com or calling us at 888-222-4346 and we'll be more than happy to help you.

1 out of 5 eggsOut of the box defective

Pros: Looks good, feels nice.

Cons: Out of the box defective. The "A" key was typing on its own.

Other Thoughts: I'm returning it and hopefully the next one they send is actually GOOD.
