5 out of 5 eggsGreat Keyboard

Pros: It is a very high quality keyboard. When ever I switch to a normal keyboard I can feel the difference. It is defiantly worth the price.

Cons: Loud, but it is not a con for me.

4 out of 5 eggsgreat keyboard, questionable price

Pros: This is great keyboard. the keys look nice and it has a smart look. the keys give a satisfying click but its supposed to be quieter than other kinds of mech keyboards. I think its still kind of noisy but its not a big deal for me. I also comes with 2 usb ports on the right side of it. i have both a wireless mouse trasmitter and a wired gaming mouse plugged in it. the ports work well.

Cons: there is no problem with the keyboard itself however I wounder if this was a smart buy. other keyboards go for less money and seem to have way more features. extra buttons, a screen, volume control, and sweet designs are some things I lost out on buy purchasing this. If I were to go back and rethink my purchase i may have not bought this one

Other Thoughts: Overall its a good keyboard but i think that there were better options at the 120 dollars i paid

5 out of 5 eggsSweet Keys

Pros: Best Keyboard I have ever used with a desktop computer. Every key is as it should be and where it should be. No flashing lights, no gimmicks, just a nice solid board.

Cons: none. Some say this is a "loud" board. Yes, you can hear the clicks, but my cat purrs louder.

Other Thoughts: I grew up on Royal and Underwood typewriters. Actually had classes in High School. You learned to be "one with the machine", i.e. there was feedback. Later the IBM keyboards were much loved for the same reason. My Mother would say she knew when someone had been using her typewriter. This is real and it is missing from the cheap keyboards we've all had to live with recently. Free with any purchase, soulless. The Apple Wireless Keyboard is good, but this on another level, alone. If you have never experienced this, you will know within one week what you have been missing you're whole life. Another thought is how it should or can be used. The talk of the "loud" clicks is misleading. The key has a switch that clicks at about half stroke. This is as far as you need to push down. It will make another sound as the key is bottomed out. This is wasted energy and wasted speed. So you'll have to re-learn how to use a keyboard. As a "typist", you learned to use a consistent pressure, not too soft or too hard, just right. This keyboard will teach you and you'll improve your speed. Cool.

1 out of 5 eggsdied after 31 days

Pros: nice feel

Cons: Died after 31 days. It just died. The USB recognizes the Hub but not the keyword. I was typing along and it just died. i tested in other computers, no use. It is dead. NewEgg returns covers only 30 days. No luck.

4 out of 5 eggsDas is a solid mech kb!

Pros: Das Keyboard is a solid keyboard. It's made by Costar, a Taiwanese company, and they make solid boards, i.e Filco, CM QF Rapid, WASD. It's easy to replace out all of the keycaps if you so desire. It's a preference, some people hate it, but I really like the glossy piano finish of the board. It has a USB hub. If you haven't typed on a mech keyboard before, you're missing out. This keyboard is great to type on. Got to love the clickety clack typing on blue cherry mx on a sturdy board. :)

Cons: The only con, which in my opinion is enough to dock an egg, is that the usb ports are on the side of the keyboard, not the back. If I plug in a usb cable, it sticks out to where my mouse is, that's not good. This is something that should have been considered before putting a board like this into production.

It'd be nice if the keys were PBT, and these are ABS, which means they will get shine on them more quickly. But there aren't many mech boards that come with PBT key caps anyway. Most of us switch out the key caps. I switched mine out to all white PBT key caps the day I got it.

Subjectively, some people don't like the gloss finish, but like I said, I quite like it, it makes the board look very classy, especially with all white caps. :)

Finally, again this is subjective, if you don't use the number pad you should look into getting a tenkeyless. Das doesn't make a tenkeyless board, so you might want to check out a Filco, Ducky YOTD, PBT Pure or Race.

Other Thoughts: Word has it that the new Das with the media keys are not made by Costar, and that these are being phased out, so I'm glad I got one. I would highly recommend this board. I got it when there was a 15% off all keyboards promo on newegg and got it for a little over $90. Great price for a great board!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat keyboard!

Pros: Great keyboard, the USB 2.0 access on the side is convenient. I don't have to reach around to the side of my desk to insert a flash drive anymore. They keys feel great and respond great. I'm still getting used to em. Love that it has PS/2 adapter also. Much better for fast typists/gamers than USB interface.

Cons: The USB ports should be facing the back of the keyboard, not the right side. If you keep your mouse on the right, and close to the keyboard, it could be annoying when you have stuff plugged in.

Other Thoughts: If you are purely a windows user, or a GUI user, you may want to opt for the more expensive version with the media keys for volume control. Not a big deal, as I just turn the nob on the speakers, or push the button for mute, but it is nice to have for a few extra dollars.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: Awesome key action, it's like an org4sm for your fingers. Great grippy feet on the bottom so it doesn't slide around on my glass desk. Heavy, but not too heavy.

Cons: THIS KEYBOARD IS LOUD. Like, louder than an explosion at the clicker factory loud. If you are going to be typing with someone in an adjacent room while they're trying to sleep / read / meditate consider getting the version of this keyboard with the quiet-action keys.

5 out of 5 eggsDefinitely Worth it

Pros: Very nice sounding, responsive, easy to install, looks nice,

Cons: Nearly none, backspace key squeaks a tiny bit

Other Thoughts: Definitely a buy. I bought this along with an SSD, a mouse and a mousepad and this is definitely my favorite of all of them. I just sit in class/work and dream about typing when I get home

5 out of 5 eggsBest keyboard on market

Pros: Best keyboard I own. Feels Nice and everything works fine. The mechanical keyboards are so much more responsive than the cheap membrane keyboard that I was using. It's at a perfect height too and everything looks sleek and nice. I love the two usb ports on the side however I don't use them since I use mostly usb 3.0. They're still nice to have.

Cons: None that I can think of other than that sometimes my backspace key makes a weird squeaky noise that I can see getting annoying after a while. But it doesn't particularly bug me.

Other Thoughts: Definitely consider this keyboard even though it doesn't light up it feels more solid than the razer ultimate and it feels just nice to the fingers.

5 out of 5 eggsClickety-Clack-Clack-Clack

Pros: Great feel and accuracy. And, the clicks...

Looks like something Darth Vader would use. And, the clicks...

No missed keystrokes. And, the clicks...

Cons: A bit of wear on the A-S-D-E keys; nothing to bad yet.

Not a slam, but I wish that the USBs were on the left side.

Pricey, but worth it.

Clicks not loud enough to upset my neighbors. Work on it, DAS. LOL

...and, ashamedly, I used a gift card from some other merchant to buy it. Yes, after all these years, I cheated on NewEgg. :-(

Other Thoughts: This is what it is...a throwback for those of us dinosaurs who still remember the classic IBM keyboards.

Oh, and the clicks...
