4 out of 5 eggsGreat Solid Keyboard

Pros: Love the blue switches
Solid, heavy feel
Thick rugged cord

Cons: One star off because I've only had this keyboard two weeks and I can already see slight fading on high-traffice keys. I type on this 8+ hours a day. We'll see how they hold up...

Other Thoughts: Great keyboard, wish it was back-lit but I knew what I was buying.

5 out of 5 eggsMX Blues are a joy

Pros: - No funny keyboard layout: this keyboard uses the tried - and - true 104 key layout that I've come to expect
- Cherry MX Blues: clicky and LOUD; a joy to type on.

Cons: - USB ports may interfere with mouse: This keyboard could be improved by moving the USB ports to the top of the keyboard, as opposed to the right side.

Other Thoughts: - The glossy base does not show dirt that easily. They also include a cleaning cloth in the box in case you feel the need to clean it.

If you're working in an office environment, or somewhere else where keyboard noise would be annoying, then you may want to consider the non-clicky version of this keyboard.

5 out of 5 eggsMet my expectations

Pros: Feels sturdy, clicky sound, keys respond much better than the typical membrane keyboards, and everything met my expectations.

Cons: Coming from the standard, "free with the purchase of a computer keyboard", it took about an hour to get comfortable with the tactile response of this keyboard. Not a big deal for me.

I'm not a huge fan of the shiny surface just because I think it will be a pain to keep clean. I like the matte finish of the Ultimate better, but as far as I can tell there isn't an ultimate with labels on the keys. I just can't memorize every single button.

Other Thoughts: When contemplating ordering this keyboard, I saw a bunch of reviews on other sites (amzn was a particularly bad offender), that indicated the space bar was mushy or broken or not up to the normal standard. I have to say, not being a keyboard aficionado or having ever learned to type on an electronic type writer (being younger than 30), I have no issue with the responsiveness or feel of the space bar. It is literally a non-issue as far as I'm concerned.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Keyboard Ever!

Pros: Very tactical feel - you can feel each key as you type
Durable - I do a lot of typing (one file is 65,000 words since May), and not one key is failing like previous keyboards have
Media Controls - Main reason I got this one over the other is the media controls, and I always have music going.

Cons: Side USB ports can interfere with the mouse
Gloss finish is a dust / smudge magnet
Wish certain functions had a FN shortcut, like Calculator
Wasn't the cheapest keyboard I ever bought

Other Thoughts: I wish I can afford another one for when I travel. Despite Cherry MX keyboards becoming more common, I still will get another DAS.

Also, there's no programmable macro keys like some gaming keyboards, but I didn't buy this for gaming.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic

Pros: Great typing feel.
Tactile feedback.
Sturdy contruction.

Cons: Glossy top shows smudges and fingerprints too easily.

Other Thoughts: After buying numerous "brand name" keyboards and being disappointed in their feel, I bit the bullet and bought this. I absolutely love this keyboard. While I don't really type any faster with it, I make far less spelling mistakes because of the tactile feedback. This was originally purchased for my home computer, but I liked it so much that I also bought one for my cubicle at work. And, if you are concerned about how "loud" it is, don't be. While the keys do have an audible "click", it is not distracting and the co-workers ajacent to my cubicle cannot hear it over the other ambient noises.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: usb; usb ports

Cons: Run of mill keyboard. I am replacing NBM The Right Touch ($24 keyboard) and I ended by switching back to the NBM 10 year-old keyboard. Height adjustment not high enough. Glossy finish for more reflections to distract you.

Other Thoughts: Even my $24 10-year old keyboard had better ergonomics.

5 out of 5 eggsOne of the Best Keyboards I've Ever Had

Pros: -Really Responsive Keys
-Really comfortable to type with
-Great for all different types of needs (I use it for work and gaming)
-No flashy stupid shortcut keys

Cons: -Exterior design is something I don't like
-Glossy finish + dust magnet + fingerprint magnet
-The 2 USB plugs on the keyboard won't power-up my external HDD ):

Other Thoughts: Other those two small cons, the keyboard is perfect for your everyday use. I used the keyboard with Dota 2 and CSGO and noticed that it is MUCH more responsive than my old G15 and my friend's razer blackwidow. I also noticed that I typed faster with this keyboard when compared to the two keyboards I mentioned before. 10/10 would recommend this to everyone if they are willing to spend that much money on the keyboard.

5 out of 5 eggsWow!

Pros: 1) Great Tactile Feel
(Like using a 21st century typewriter)
2) Isn't Too Loud
3) Fine Materials & Parts
4) Stylish Coat
5) This Review is Being Written With It!

Cons: The keys are spaced differently than my last keyboard. It isn't the design's fault but it will still take some time getting use to.

Other Thoughts: Still waiting for the return key to ring like a dinner bell.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent typing keyboard

Pros: If you grew up using IBM keyboards - or even Selectric Typewriters! - the tactile feel of those keys was far superior to the mushy mess that most modern keyboards have. DAS uses Cherry MX Blue switches for this keyboard; the closest to the clicky goodness of previous generations. Yes, they're somewhat noisy. If you need to actually type on a regular basis, however, this is the keyboard for you.

Overall construction is superb. The plastic case feels sturdy enough to drive nails. We have several DAS keyboards in the office. The oldest dates from 2008 and still functions perfectly although the key markings are somewhat faded. Newer keyboards (from 2009 or 2010) have more robust key markings and hold up even better.

Several other companies offer Cherry Blue-equipped keyboards. I prefer the DAS implementation for work use, as it offers just the basic set of keys, perfectly arranged. If gaming is a consideration and you need a vast array of customizeable keys, buy a different keyboard. For pure typing efficiency, you be, pardon the pun, hard pressed to best this baby.

Cons: As others mentioned below, the space bar has a different feel from the other keys. The "silent" version of the DAS keyboard (Cherry MX Brown switches) does not suffer from this flaw. Initially, the different response from the space bar was a distraction, but after a day's typing, I no longer noticed.

When making a headset phone call, the clickety-clack does come through. Hard to stealth-type on a conference call without judicious use of the mute button.

The USB hub is unpowered, making it suitable for only some uses. You also have to decide between using the PS/2 plug and USB. PS/2 connection is needed if you are a seriously fast typist - I'm not in that league - who is capable of out-typing the USB interface.

Other Thoughts: An outstanding performer as long as you do not need many customizeable keys. If DAS fixed the feel of the spacebar, it would be perfect.
