2 out of 5 eggslighting went out after 4 months

Pros: works okay for a few months. 3 colors

Cons: lighting went out in 4 months. pretty upset. going to try to return / replace

also, the 'u' key is stiffer than the other keys for some reason?

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent value, feel, illumination and letter size.

Pros: The button press is just right for my preference...not too soft, not too 'clicky' hard. I love the large lettering for my post 50 eyes. I'm most impressed with the illumination- no weak areas dimmer than others. It's smoothly light all over. Having 3 colors to choose from is a nice touch, as is the lights-off feature when you hold the LED button down a few seconds. The price was a bargain for such great features.

Cons: Not a one.

5 out of 5 eggsMight buy another

Pros: Got as gift for my mother-in-Law. She loves it. The back-lighting makes it easier for her to see. She has had it for a few months and has not complained.

Cons: Now I'd kind of like one for myself.

Other Thoughts: May not last forever, but if it makes it a few years, I'd get another.

5 out of 5 eggsSo Far So Good

Pros: I've been messing around with this keyboard from the time I pulled it out of the box until now. So far, I'm seriously impressed by this piece of equipment. I was a little bit apprehensive about making the purchase at first because a number of the reviews highlighted some seemingly huge problems with the keyboard. However, I have not run into any of the troubles that other users have. The key clicks are quiet, all of them work, and the keyboard is extremely easy to type on (I find that I'm able to type faster with this keyboard than I was with my previous ASUS keyboard). The lighting is perfect. It is easy to see in front of a bright monitor, but it isn't overwhelming in a dark room. All of the extra function keys work right out of the box (I'm using Windows 7). Basically, if this keyboard continues to function the way it has so far, it may end up being the best keyboard I've ever purchased. I'm currently a college student, and I also spend a fair amount of time gaming when I get the chance. I would definitely recommend this keyboard to anyone who is looking for a value priced keyboard that still boasts good quality.

Cons: So far, I haven't ran into anything that I would consider a con... I honestly don't know where some of the other reviewers are coming from. No, this keyboard won't change your life or increase your chances of winning the lottery, but it's a good deal for the price you are going to pay.

Other Thoughts: I spent nearly five hours reading reviews on all of the available backlit keyboards that newegg has to offer. I didn't find any that were given five eggs unless they had only been reviewed a handful of times. If you are looking for a good quality backlit keyboard that won't break the bank, save yourself the trouble I went through and buy this one.

3 out of 5 eggsProblems

Pros: Large letters on keys in any of three colors.

Cons: Keyboard loses contact with computer, but regains it after reboot. It may have something to do with screen power-saver. This may be a known problem that is responsible for the rock-bottom price. Also key lighting appears to have slight mottled appearance when viewed from an angle. The feel of the keys is different. A longer stroke is needed, and there is no detent feel.

Other Thoughts: I have another identical board on order. I may return both. I wish this board didn't have this fault. It has so much going for it otherwise even at a higher price.

5 out of 5 eggsBest budget keyboard

Pros: I believe this is the best budget illuminated keyboard out on the market. I have had it over a year and it works great for gaming and for typing long reports (30-50pgs each once every other week) and the illimination has greatly reduced the ammount that I bug my wife when report writing at night. Function buttons work great and keys have a great feel.

Cons: Have yet to find one yet.

2 out of 5 eggsNot so good

Pros: Nothing fancy. Just a normal keyboard with backlit

Cons: The keys sometimes don't work as it suppose to be. I play BF4 a lot and the 1,2,3,4 keys are under extremely heavy use. But the thing is, sometimes all those keys just bring me to the menu (the esc key) and it really screw up my games A LOT OF TIMES.

Other Thoughts: Lucky that this doesn't always happen so I still give it 2 stars. I hope that this is just I'm unlucky and only me is experiencing this issue and I will be sent another one. Otherwise I don't suggest anyone who wants to play games to buy this keyboard AT ALL. I will buy another one from another brand soon.

5 out of 5 eggsStill an Excellent Keyboard, An Update

Pros: Like the large Lettering and back-lighting of every key made it a plus.

Cons: Scroll/Numb/Caps Lock LEDs can not be seen readily at an angle on my keyboard. Not a big issue.

Holding the Back-light switch for a few seconds powers off the LEDs. However, if power is removed from Kbd it reverts back to default. Not a big issue.

Other Thoughts: I have my PC keep Power on to the USB Ports and I set it to Blue, a more relaxing color. I Tried using it with back-lit off and didn't like the looks of the keys, Best with Back-lit on.

Not a keyboard for a soft touch-typist.
