3 out of 5 eggsProblems

Pros: Large letters on keys in any of three colors.

Cons: Keyboard loses contact with computer, but regains it after reboot. It may have something to do with screen power-saver. This may be a known problem that is responsible for the rock-bottom price. Also key lighting appears to have slight mottled appearance when viewed from an angle. The feel of the keys is different. A longer stroke is needed, and there is no detent feel.

Other Thoughts: I have another identical board on order. I may return both. I wish this board didn't have this fault. It has so much going for it otherwise even at a higher price.

5 out of 5 eggsBest budget keyboard

Pros: I believe this is the best budget illuminated keyboard out on the market. I have had it over a year and it works great for gaming and for typing long reports (30-50pgs each once every other week) and the illimination has greatly reduced the ammount that I bug my wife when report writing at night. Function buttons work great and keys have a great feel.

Cons: Have yet to find one yet.

2 out of 5 eggsNot so good

Pros: Nothing fancy. Just a normal keyboard with backlit

Cons: The keys sometimes don't work as it suppose to be. I play BF4 a lot and the 1,2,3,4 keys are under extremely heavy use. But the thing is, sometimes all those keys just bring me to the menu (the esc key) and it really screw up my games A LOT OF TIMES.

Other Thoughts: Lucky that this doesn't always happen so I still give it 2 stars. I hope that this is just I'm unlucky and only me is experiencing this issue and I will be sent another one. Otherwise I don't suggest anyone who wants to play games to buy this keyboard AT ALL. I will buy another one from another brand soon.

5 out of 5 eggsStill an Excellent Keyboard, An Update

Pros: Like the large Lettering and back-lighting of every key made it a plus.

Cons: Scroll/Numb/Caps Lock LEDs can not be seen readily at an angle on my keyboard. Not a big issue.

Holding the Back-light switch for a few seconds powers off the LEDs. However, if power is removed from Kbd it reverts back to default. Not a big issue.

Other Thoughts: I have my PC keep Power on to the USB Ports and I set it to Blue, a more relaxing color. I Tried using it with back-lit off and didn't like the looks of the keys, Best with Back-lit on.

Not a keyboard for a soft touch-typist.

2 out of 5 eggsOn Second Thought

Pros: Cheap
Large print keys
Very bright backlighting with three color choices

Cons: You cannot turn the backlighting off.
The keys get sticky fast.

Other Thoughts: I wrote a positive review for this keyboard when I got it in 2012, however, I've been forced to rethink it because just three months after I got it, the keys started to jam. It got to the point where, unless you put two fingers on, for example, the shift key in order to hit it perfectly, it just would not press at all. And I'm a clean person, no food or drink here, it's just really bad manufacturing.

The pros still stand (mostly), but the keyboard became unusable and I was forced to go back to the one I had been using for the previous five years until I found something better.

5 out of 5 eggsAZIO Large Print Tri-Color Illuminated Keyboard

Pros: Love the backlight, easy to read. Inexpensive.

I am particular about my typing and am a pretty fast typer (~70-85 WPM). I found this to be an easy transition and quite comfortable. I purchased another one for a gift as well.

Cons: No dedicated sleep button, keys are lower profile than some keyboards, which can take some time adjusting to. Doesnt have gold plated connector (nitpicking here, given the price, which is why no loss of egg)

Other Thoughts: The biggest concern would be the low profile keys I think for some. I have not encountered sticking. I mostly type on my lenovo thinkpad yoga, but when I use the AZIO, I do not find myself having any issues with it.

Appreciate the keyboard for what it is - an inexpensive, well backlit and easy to read keyboard. I mostly use it in the dark, and the large font is excellent (I am not an old man or anything, but it is still very nice).

5 out of 5 eggsBetter Keyboard

Pros: the large characters on the keys. Blue and Red colors make daytime and night time typing all around easier.

Cons: None that I have encountered

2 out of 5 eggsLooks nice, performance not so much

Pros: Large easy to read backlit keys, switch to toggle through 3 color choices

Cons: poor ergonomics, horrible key action, keys stick unless you strike them perfectly vertically

Other Thoughts: This keyboard will defeat the most dedicated touch-typist. If you are a "hunt-n-peck" typer, this board probably won't cause you any more difficulty than any other board, but if you are a speedy touch typer, you will grow to hate this keyboard as I have over the 10 or 11 months I've owned it. If you don't strike each key perfectly dead center with a perfectly vertical motion, the key will slide askew and jam. I'm not an awesome typist, but on my old microsoft keyboard I was able to achieve around 30 ~ 35 wpm ... I'd be lucky to achieve 10 ~ 15 on this board since the jamming keys results in constant typos and time-consuming redos. Avoid this board if you expect to to type anything longer than a brief IM or typical facebook update.

1 out of 5 eggsLooks great, but doesn't perform

Pros: Easy to read/see.

Has EXACTLY the look that I wanted.

Cons: Everything else. Seriously, a keyboard has one job and this device does that job poorly

The keys stick randomly.

The keys are slightly sunken into the keyboard, so it feels like you are typing "down" into a well. The result is that it feels foreign and uncomfortable.

Other Thoughts: The keys are mounted in a non-standard way and this is why they stick. Instead of being mounted direct to the actuator, these keys are mounted into a sliding track on either side of the key. So pressure must be applied straight down or the key gets off-balance and sticks to one side or the other.

I have a $3 USB keyboard on my test rig that performs better.
