5 out of 5 eggsFANTASTIC!

Pros: overall this monitor is beautifull, I dont know a great deal about them but I recieved it in great shape the tilt angle is great for any way you want to look at it. My main use for it is gaming and wow what a difference a 22in is compared to a 15in laptop.

Cons: Only con i can think of is maybe it could use a swivel in the bottom, some people may prefer that but i really dont think it makes any difference. Speakers arent the greatest either but if you are planning on using only the speakers on the monitor you either dont care about sound quality or dont know enough about audio.

Other Thoughts: Thoroughly satisfied with this monitor, be warned...going from a wide screen back to a regular screen may cause you to squint at the smaller screen and think how you could live with out a wide screen!

3 out of 5 eggsIt's just meh...

Pros: The monitor looks bigger in real life, It is nice and thin, Looks sleek and cool, and is super easy to set up. It's Perfect for gaming, and the price is fair.

Cons: I was not very impressed. In fact a little bit dissapointed after hearing all the rave reviews it was getting. And knowing Samsung is famous for good quality.

I first off noticed that against white it has a very noticable blue-ish hue. I found this stange.

Secondly, I noticed that the colors kind of suck when not gaming. It seems as if alot of my pictures are white washed. All colors seems dull and not vibrant enough. I changed brightness and gamma, but still cant make it look that much better.

Thirdly, When against black, you can very visibly see white at the top and bottoms of the screen.

Finally, the stand is VERY wobbly and seems unstable. a slight shake of the desk and the monitor sways back and forth.

Other Thoughts: You pay for what you get I guess. I should of figured the price was too good to be true. This is still a huge upgrade from a non-widescreen. And while gaming its an amazing monitor. It's while your not that you will notice its imperfections.

5 out of 5 eggsNICE

Pros: This monitor is AWESOME. Nice sharp picture and good color.
AND ITS WIDESCREEN!

Cons: Yeah it does have that blue tint to it but its not that big of a deal. It comes from the backlight.

Other Thoughts: I use it mostly for gaming and it rocks!
Good anyway you like it.

5 out of 5 eggsGeorgeous display

Pros: Excellent color, contrast and response time. No dead pixels;

Cons: Could not install the drivers from the supplied CD, had to download from Samsung site (no biggie). Does not sit exactly level on its base.

Other Thoughts: Going from a 17" NEC CRT to this baby takes some getting used to, but I can handle it. To be honest, it's almost too big, but better that than too small. Samsung makes a great product

5 out of 5 eggsQuite acceptable

Pros: Image quality and colors are excellent, better than my MacBook Pro, *way* better than my old 21" CRT. Brightness and contrast are the only things that need adjusting. I bought one and my father-in-law bought two, no dead pixels on any.

Cons: Slight backlight bleed at the top and bottom, only noticeable on a black screen. Vertical viewing angle gets pretty narrow when the brightness is all the way up. Built-in speakers are weak (no surprise). No height adjust, no USB hub, doesn't do my laundry, blah blah. These are all minor issues, not worth taking away an egg.

Other Thoughts: Ubuntu did not immediately figure out that it could display 1680x1050. Had to add the following line to /etc/X11/xorg.conf:
Modeline "1680x1050" 146.2 1680 1784 1960 2240 1050 1053 1059 1089

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic Buy

Pros: Fantastic monitor for the money. I bought this primarily for digital photography post-work. Out of the box, the monitor was bright & had quite a blueish cast. After using a Spyder monitor calibrator, I'm getting accurate colors that match my prints.

Cons: Although not as bad as I had expected, the monitor doesn't have a wide angle of view. For what I do, I couldn't care less. I wouldn't recommend using it to view movies or showing work to clients.

Other Thoughts: Great value. I highly recommend this monitor to photographers who need a quality monitor that can be properly calibrated & can't afford a 16bit LaCie or Eizo monitor.

4 out of 5 eggsGood monitor

Pros: The monitor is beautiful once you get the settings right. I like 80/100 with a warm hue as it comes out of the box somewhat cool. The picture is very nice and has decent viewing angles. Easy to install.

Cons: Poorly built stand and when I am charging my laptop while I have the monitor hooked up to my laptop I get interference on the screen in the form of a faint wave going up the screen constantly. I am not sure why this occurs but it goes away if I stop charging my laptop. The charging port and the VGA adapter are only about 2 inches apart which may be part of the reason.

Other Thoughts: If you intend to use this with a laptop, make sure your charging port and VGA aren't too close or you may get some interference. Also might want to look elsewhere for a stand if your desk will be bumped much.
