Pros: first off the cabinet looks great, it will fit right in with just about any entertainment center. plenty of inputs and features. excellent picture quality, bright vibrant colors, great contrast, even with standard def programming. very low glare on the screen. high def programming is superb! just blows my mind to be an LCD display. remote has large highly visible buttons for those of us with poor eyesight. quick source changing with either the remote or using the dedicated button on the display. love the hidden HDMI and headphone port behind the trap door on the side. includes power saving options in menus. light weight for easy transport. setup takes less than 10 minutes. includes a cleaning cloth :)

Cons: only thing that i could ask for is a mounting option and/or more freedom of motion in the stand (only tilts backward about 40 degrees). also the speakers are not very loud, there are lots of sound adjustments that can be made in the menu (equalizer) though. i would suggest using an alternate sound system. i did find 3 or 4 dead pixels but it is only noticeable if you're within 6 inches of the screen and it is a blank (black) screen.

Other Thoughts: i have my Xbox 360 connected to the component inputs which DOES support 1080p. this was not clearly stated in the description. just thought id clear that up. if your on a budget and your picky about quality then this is for you.

Jack of All Trades: Good Value

Pros: If you're looking for a good value, something that gets the job done in a more than pleasing manner then the T220HD is a great bet. Beautiful design, intuitive controls, can watch HDTV on it, and it doubles as a monitor with just over 720p. Calibrated with an X-Rite Eye1 and using the resulting custom ICC profile I'm happy with the color results although I prefer my Mac image. This is more subjective than anything else though. Might be the glossy surface of the Mac, or just what I'm used to. There isn't much new to say that hasn't been said by all the other good reviews yet.

Cons: Viewing Angle: It isn't horrible or unusable, but noticeable if you want to nit pick.
Stand: I wish it was more sturdy. Again, this isn't a major problem that you can't use it but it is noticeable and little bumps transfer into monitor wobble. Wish it had a standard mount.
Dust: If your room is like mine and collects a lot of dust, you won't need an ion air filter. The monitor will do a fine job attracting every speck of it onto its glossy surface. This isn't really the monitor's fault but be warned, the dark glossy surface makes it very easy to see all the dust collecting on it. (As well as all your fingerprints.)

Other Thoughts: I chose to purchase this monitor because I was shopping for an HDTV. I was looking at another 19 inch HDTV because it was one of the cheapest sets without going with an unestablished brand. In my extensive search I eventually ran across the T220HD and couldn't for the life of me figure out why it had all these great features, could do everything I wanted, had a larger screen, great inputs, AND be cheaper (a little) than a smaller HDTV. Critical reviews say this HDTV does the job but nothing particularly well... but I didn't really see any other raving reviews of small / cheap HDTV that had top class performance either. Comparison of this product to others might be like apples to oranges, but for the same price you're getting a very large bowling ball sized apple to a regular orange. The T240HD is only $70 more and has full native 1080p resolution. I was going to buy that but compromised with my wallet and workspace size. Overall I'm very happy and feel this is a great value.

Nice TV

Pros: Great QAM tuner, speeds thru channels compared to some other TVS.

Looks nifty and will look great in the RV.

Cons: 16:10 aspect ratio is not standard for TV , which is 16:9 in high def - it's a monitor first and a TV second. Minor issue because it can upscale nicely.

The back is far from flat, so wall mounting it requires a special bracket (Samsung PN WMB1900T) for connection to a wall mounting bracket. I had to find it elsewherea, and it was $32.22 shipped. Still, it's a good TV for the price.

Other Thoughts: For home use in almost any room, I'd definitely step up to something larger.

Speedy Newegg delivery and everything arrived in good condition.

Horrible customer service

Pros: I've owned over 8 Samsung LCD's, the quality was fine, but I will not buy another one after the email I just got from Samsung support.

Cons: Samsung just informed me that any missing parts beyond 30 days have to be paid for to be received. To me, that is the WORST customer service policy in history.

I will never buy another Samsung display again, and Samsung: you should be ashamed of yourself, expecting people to pay more for something that you failed to include in the first place.

Good Monitor with minor flaws

Pros: I've been using this monitor regularly for 2 months now. The monitor has some amazing features. It has a "super array" of connections. Mine arrived with zero dead pixels and the screen quality is great. As most know, getting a balance between LCD TV quality picture and LCD computer monitor quality picture is a difficult task. Samsung did a remarkable job here and I switch between the two seamlessly keeping the quality on both ends. The built-in TV tuner is great and you save lots of money with just that alone.

The red light on the bottom of the screen showing power can be turned off in options.

Cons: I use the monitor primarily for gaming (but also use it as a hybrid for TV) and my biggest complaint so far and why this did not get 5 stars is the sound problems. Note that I use the HDMI connection and have not tested other connections - If I'm in computer monitor mode and walk away for a while the monitor shifts into some sort of offline screen saver mode. When I return to move the mouse and get everything back about 50% of the time I lose the sound completely. At this point I need to reboot the computer - turning the monitor on and off does not help return the sound. Another issue is the headphone port on the side of the monitor. Hey, it is great, but there's no microphone jack - so my headphone with mic doesn't work - it needs a mic jack near the headphone jack. So keep that in mind if you are a gamer or use skype. (Possible workaround might be disabling monitor sound driver) The stand is wobbly - but only if you bump or shake your desk. It won't fall down, just wobbles.

Other Thoughts: I have not had any major issues and despite the problems with the sound I still recommend this monitor - it is that good, especially for the price. There's also an HDMI port on the side of the monitor - in fact there are ports everywhere and it is quite refreshing.

Pros: arrived-no dead pixels; good clear, bright pictures; good for use as tv or pc monitor (i use it as both) good for gaming also my fav. is forces unleashed (i know not the best out there) and at max resolution there is no tearing or distortion; has HDMI and DVI as well as analog inputs

Cons: there is some major bleeding around the edges of the screen if you are watching a letterbox movie. weak stand. power button takes some getting use to - these are not enough to knock any eggs off

Other Thoughts: for the price and size, it cannot be beat, got mine when my laptop died (had a tv card and was the only tv signal we got in the house) and needed something to watch news and traffic - was a much cheaper compromise than a new laptop or repairing the one i have. as stated in other reviews the stand is weak but i don't dance on my desk so it doesn't bother me. got it here on the egg on sale for 189 shipped. hay people look at what you are getting for the price and then match that with competitors in the same price range...this is a winner hands down!
