Artistry isn't something that can be measured. With Samsung, we believe that artistry is the result of a delicate balance between high-end design and cutting-edge technology. Samsung inspired by the world around us and want to create products that are both functional and exude beauty. Introducing the T260HD from Samsung. Beautiful, inside and out. Inspired by the craftsmanship of Venetian glassblowers, the T260HD is the embodiment of our design philosophy: natural beauty that defies standardization. Unlike other monitors on the market today, we're just as concerned about how our monitor performs as well as it looks. The unique crystal-like frame is both transparent and opaque, giving the monitor a handcrafted feel. And the smooth clean lines and variety of colors will make this monitor the centerpiece of any room in your home-no matter how sophisticated it may be.

2 out of 5 eggsPoor exchange service!

Pros: Great monitor and has treated me well the past year I've owned it.

Cons: Today the monitor started randomly shutting itself off and back on and it's getting annoying. I called Samsung support and the only option to fix this is to ship them my monitor and for them to repair it. They won't offer an exchange unless they attempt to repaid the monitor first. Since this is my primary work monitor, I now won't have a monitor to work with for the next 2 weeks and they could care less. Does Samsung not realize that most people don't have spare monitors laying around to use when their primary breaks?

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome! Bang for Buck

Pros: Beauty monitor. Doesn't look like the corporate cubical monitor. Nothing comes close for the money. You're getting a TV tuner with remote.

Cons: No height adjustments.

Requires 20 to 30 minutes to dial in the right colors and sharpness.

Other Thoughts: So many are saying you can't wall mount this monitor.

3 out of 5 eggsSlow

Pros: Good price

Cons: No way to wall mount.
Controls (power up or imput select) are very slow to respond (2 seconds+)

Other Thoughts: The 'Touch of class' is only in their mind but for a 1920X1200 display it looks good and works fine, if you don't mind waiting 2 seconds for it to switch

4 out of 5 eggsGreat monitor

Pros: Good quality and size for the price. Love playing PS3 at my desk with this monitor.

Cons: The stand is not adjustable, you cannot tilt the monitor at all.

Other Thoughts: Would love to get another one and have them both mounted up on the wall.

1 out of 5 eggsBacklight Out - 3 weeks in.

Pros: Large Size, Looked OK (while functional)

Cons: Backlight burned out / stopped working after ~3weeks. Had already discarded box, NewEgg will not replace - insisted I work direct with manufacturer.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat monitor (tv is a bonus)

Pros: i am ready to spend three hundred for just a monitor like this. so, build-in tv came as a big surprise.

probably, not for professional photo-editing, but for an average usage i'd say this is a great monitor.

Cons: none for this price

Other Thoughts: currently, officedepot have this item cheaper and you can pick it up locally, saving extra on shipping.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat monitor, great price!

Pros: Gives an incredible image; bright, amazingly crisp, and full of beautifully saturated color.

There's no way it's only 300cd/m2 brightness, it seems brighter than my 400cd/m2 monitor, and MUCH brighter than my numerous other 300cd/m2 monitors.

Refresh speed is more than sufficient.

The various connections are all well-placed and very useful. The HDMI and component video inputs also make it an ideal monitor for people who want to play console games (New and old) at their desk. The TV-style rearward-facing connections are a good idea, and less of a pain than the standard Samsung monitor vertical connections.

The menu system is very nice and well laid out.

The monitor firmware can be updated from a USB memory stick using the maintenance port on the back, that's pretty good thinking.

From the menu you can change the behavior of the power LED. (i.e. you can actually tell it to stay OFF when the monitor is on, and only blink when the monitor is in standby.)

Cons: The dynamic contrast sucks, don't bother with it. Not _THIS_ monitor's fault, that's just the way DC is.

Speakers quality is poor. Again, not _THIS_ monitor's fault, that's just the way it is with pretty much all on-monitor speakers.

I was tempted to take an egg off for the lack of height and pivot adjustment in the stand, but this is really meant for watching movies, TV, and playing games, and height and pivot adjustment are features for the PC monitor market, and at no time have I had a problem viewing the monitor in spite of it.

The pixels-per-inch of the monitor is lower than standard LCD PC monitors, meaning it might not match the size of a standard 1200px tall PC monitor. This shouldn't be a problem for most people though.

I would say that the biggest problem is that, if you see one in person, you'll want your own. IMMEDIATELY!

Other Thoughts: I actually bought this for my younger sister, who wanted a monitor good enough to watch movies on. The day before it arrived, the 24" primary monitor on my machine died, so I took to borrowing this whenever she wasn't around. (Waiting to RMA mine.)

Now I want one of my own, badly.

I don't know why, but it seems so much bigger and brighter than my 24".

2 out of 5 eggsupdate to my update

Pros: When it worked right it was beautiful.

Cons: I had a green line running from top to bottom of the screen

Other Thoughts: I went throught samsung for a replacement, they shipped me a refurbished monitor that was trashed. I refused it and said I would return my monitor to newegg for a new replacement. I contacted newegg and they said they would ship me a new one. So I shipped it to them only to find out they were giving me a refund because they were out of stock. That was yesterday, today I find out they still have them in stock and I am mad. I really wanted this monitor and newegg is giving me bad service. I have spent thousands at newegg and never had a problem. I guess they have new managment there or something. Or the people in the rma section are just clueless. Now I need to contact newegg again and tell them I want a replacement and NOT a refund!
