4 out of 5 eggsGood monitor until the backlight goes out

Pros: 1920x1200. "1080p" is junk for real work on a computer. I LOVE that extra 120px.

Cons: Low vertical viewing angle.

Backlight went out on the first one after about 12 months of ownership. SAMSUNG replaced it really fast and for 100% free.

Backlight on my second unit tonight (25 months after purchase). I am on chat and will have it resolved and sent out tomorrow morning. I am happy with their customer service. Just contact them and jump through the hoops.

Other Thoughts: I hope the 3rd one has its backlight go out before my 36 months of warrantee is up.

4 out of 5 eggsgood. outdated (and out of stock)

Pros: 1920x1200, great stand, ok contrast, no dead pixels

Cons: outdated at this point. newer screens are thinner, have more contrast, better for your eyes. you're paying about a $100 premium on this monitor for the nice stand. it's better to just buy a regular monitor and a separate REALLY nice stand for the same $100. Mine started buzzing, not too loud, but annoying, after a couple years.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great 16:10 monitor. Samsung makes a quality monitor. Using two of these at home. Love the screen space with 1920x1200. Use these for productivity and gaming.

Cons: Some people don't like the fact that these do not have HDMI or display port. Not an issue for me.

Other Thoughts: Pushing two of these with a 3gb 580GTX via DVI cables. Also running Actual Multiple Monitors (awesome multi-monitor software). It's getting harder to find 24" 1920x1200 monitors out there.

2 out of 5 eggsNice monitor, but has a loud buzz!

Pros: Nice, big, bright screen; clear text.

Cons: Way too bright to look at for long, and makes buzzing sound if brightness level is reduced below 96 percent.

Other Thoughts: Most of the standard display settings (Custom, Sport, Movie, Dynamic) are set at 100 percent brightness. The presets for Text and Internet are set at much lower brightness levels (38 and 46 or something like that). But no matter whether you use a preset with reduced brightness, or whether you lower the brightness level yourself, this monitor makes a continuous buzzing noise at or below 96 percent brightness. I ordered two for a dual setup, and both have the identical problem. So back to Newegg they go. What a shame. My older Samsung 204t, with similar display controls, has no such issues.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Monitors

Pros: Great 1900x1200 monitors, I have a bunch of older 245BW monitors at clients going strong but these are the replacements now. Running three in widescreen. Glad they are back in production.

Cons: First manufactured in 2008 so no Displayport... but not really needed. Get the Accell adapter for Eyefinity if you need it
.
Also be aware this IS a TN pane but then again it's not $600. For 90 percent of us these are great. Sure is better than a 1994 Viewsonic 17 inch CRT (still got one).

Other Thoughts: These are super duper for most everyone. I'm not going to spend $550 on a 24 inch IPS panel LCD.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: This monitor has been great. The widescreen display is what I was going for. Have had no problems so far.

Cons: The pillar holding the display seems delicate but everything's been good so far.

3 out of 5 eggsIt's an OK monitor

Pros: 1920x1200
24"
not that expensive

Cons: I'm used to high quality monitors, so the two I bought from here can't compare.
Not crisp like a lot of people are saying.

Other Thoughts: I also bought a 28" hanns-g from here which have a much better display quaility.

I'm only giving this monitor 3 eggs since it didn't impress me.

5 out of 5 eggsNothing but praise

Pros: For a 24" monitor, this one is a great purchase.
The plastic around the monitor is matte, not glossy like my other Samsung monitors. I think I like the matte better - not as much reflection, and doesn't show dust nearly as much.

Cons: None that I can speak of.

Other Thoughts: I've bought nothing but Samsung LCD monitors and have had great luck (five total). Never had a stuck or dead pixel, and all are working great. My oldest is from late 2008 and these three get over 40 hours of use each week (I work from home).

5 out of 5 eggs1 Year Update

Pros: STILL CRISP, RELIABLE, COLORS STILL STRONG AND ACURATE.

Cons: Still havent bought a secong one... :(

Other Thoughts: Still editing videos and photos without any color issues.

My calibration Spyder still does not need to tweak this monitor much to keep it dead on.

Viewing Angle: I have not noticed any problems here unles I am into a gmae and sitting too close, or if Im laying on the floor... If you are having viewing angle problems, try pushing it back 18" from your face... You'll go blind with it that close anyways, didn't you ever listen to your mother?
