2 out of 5 eggsWarranty isn't long enough.

Pros: Worked for just over 3 years.

Cons: Won't stop turning off and on. Samsung warranty just ran out. This same problem happened to my TV from them. I am TOTALLY done with capacitance buttons on anything. I have no recourse. I guess I just rented it for a 100 dollar a year. AVOID ANYTHING WITH BUTTONS LIKE THIS MONITOR!

2 out of 5 eggsSamsung P2770FH 27 inch LCD

Pros: Price

Cons: Very unstable stand. Cheap construction. Any fast action video, like a game leaves what looks like a ghost after image.
Color is very bland on any settings. Bought to replace a 4 year old Gateway 24 inch but after seeing the bad picture and cheap construction of this Samsung i just sold it at a loss and went back to the older gateway. I should have paid attention to all the bad reviews of Samsung products and paid a little more for a quality monitor. Lesson learned.

Other Thoughts: Was suckered in by the price and the discount coupon i had for this monitor. My bad. Will stay away from any Samsung product made after 2010.

5 out of 5 eggsBEAUTIFUL!

Pros: Oh my goodness this thing is gorgeous. I can't believe the good price, the better quality, and the absolute crispness in DVI mode. Diablo III is amazing on this!

Cons: HDMI mode is blurry, and you have to use overscan adjustments if you use an AMD card. I've seen the retailers provide instructions on going into menu and "Input" and doing "Edit Name" and "HDMI" but none of those options are even on my menu. The closest I could find was Menu>Setup&Reset>PC/AV Mode and changing it to PC. But even that wasn't the answer.

Other Thoughts: Would buy another one if I had room on my desk.

5 out of 5 eggsIt's Beautiful!

Pros: Big, bright, high contrast and accurate colors- I am a graphic designer and digital illustrator/animator as well- and when work is done I'm also a gamer! I've gone through plenty of monitors- some nice, some absolutely terrible. This one is so nice I feel "at home" when I'm working or playing. Super fast response and no issues at all. I love it.

Cons: It's a wobbler. If you knock your desk it'll do a little bobble-head move, but no real issues other than that.

Other Thoughts: Seriously, best monitor I've had, best -SAMSUNG- monitor I've had. And for the price- worth it.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Nice!

Pros: Large viewing area, easy to set up, no ghosting, no dead pixels, clear and sharp pictures/text. The on/off touch screen is a plus.

Cons: The base of monitor could be beefed up.

Other Thoughts: I switched from an ASUS 24" LCD to this one and I'm glad that I did. Since I primarily use my pc for flight simulation, I wanted the most viewing space possible without breaking the bank. I found no need in installing the software that comes with the monitor. I was able to make some adjustments within the monitor's menu. I have had a Samsung monitor before and never liked the Magic Bright software. Just a personal preference.

4 out of 5 eggsLove it.

Pros: Amazing resolution, amazing for gaming.
Definitely want 1-2 more for a multi GPU set up on my GTX 590's.

Cons: Nvidia GPU detects the screen as able to produce it's own audio, but have not noticed any internal speakers for it, but instead a audio out jack in the back.

I'd rather have internal speakers then a audio out jack.
Also, upon testing the audio out jack from the GTX590's it doesn't work at all and I am disappointed by this.

Other Thoughts: Buy it if your a gamer, and if you wanna save money and hope it's audio jack actually works prepare to be disappointed.

That won't stop me from actually aiming to get at least another one of these someday.

Other thoughts.
It's price tag still hurts quite a bit and I won't be able to get a 2nd one for a long while.

5 out of 5 eggsToo complicated?

Pros: Excellent price

Excellent display quality
Large (27")
Bright (default is 100%, I turned it down to 50%)
Clear/sharp image
Matte finish screen is better than a mirror finish screen, IMO

The stand pivots smoothly left and right

HDMI and DVI inputs

Audio outputs

IMO, I hate extra features I never use, such as:
inputs like VGA, etc.
built in speakers
USB ports

Cons: The HDMI port is a tiny bit lose and if the cable moves a fraction of an inch the signal is disrupted. I may need to send this unit back.

The stand is a little bit wobbly.
The screen cannot be tilted up and down.
The controls are confusing and hard to use (but, see below and let me know if you think my comments are incorrect).

Other Thoughts: To be fair, I may be inexperienced with monitors in general and perhaps some of the features are just complicated based on my experience.
First, the control buttons are touch-sensitive electronic. I had difficulty getting them to operate. Perhaps my skin is just not conductive or warm enough or something - but I had difficulty getting the buttons to work. I have no problem operating an iPhone touch-sensitive screen.

Second, this is a dual purpose monitor. It can be used with a PC or a TV. If you plug a PC into the HDMI port, the monitor assumes it is a TV. So the following must be done:

The "PC/AV Mode" must be set to "PC" to be used with a PC.
note: the "PC" setting determines what choices are available for some of the other settings, so it should be done first.

The default "Auto Source" setting is "Auto".
A PC might not boot with that setting. "Auto Source" must be set to "Manual".

After "Auto Source" has been set to "Manual", the "Source" button must be used
