3 out of 5 eggsDied after less than 3 years

Pros: This monitor was pretty great, love the LED and the sharp screen. TV tuner was a nice plus also, though I mostly used it as my PC monitor

Cons: The monitor died on my after less than 3 years. I think it was a capacitor that blew, it started turning on and off randomly and slowly got worse. Now it just wont turn on. I opened it up to see if I could find the capacitor that was causing the problem, but they all seemed okay. I'm pretty disappointed this monitor couldn't last longer than 3 years.

4 out of 5 eggsMisses on the little things

Pros: Picture quality (except flesh tones - see cons).

Works well as a monitor. Every Samsung LCD I looked at had at least a few negative reviews about how terrible it was as a monitor, followed by someone pointing out the solution: when making a DVI to HDMI connection, change the input name to "DVI PC" and it'll be fine. This should be more obvious, but it works.

LED backlight with little to no backlight bleed. My primary monitor bleeds badly and drives me nuts, so I was sensitive to it. If I'm specifically looking for it I can find a little bit in the bottom left corner, but it doesn't bother me at all.

No dead pixels.

I'm not sure what problem the reviewer below had with 480i/p content. I haven't used it extensively, but a Dreamcast connected to the composite input worked just fine.

Price. With a Newegg promo, this was by far the best deal on a reliable brand screen that covered what I needed (or just wanted): 1080p, >21 inches, LED backlight, and multiple inputs.

Cons: Flesh tones. There is a handy dandy slider in the menu that works well in most cases, but fails to account for the Oompa Loompa-fication of television personalities. I'm guessing the setting simply doesn't cover a spectrum that's quite broad enough. Out of the box a number of news anchors looked like carrots, and no amount of adjusting the flesh tone slider did anything. Changing the red levels in the white balance setting helped some.

Picture-in-picture sub picture can only come from coax input. Very limited usage, especially if connected to a DVR/STB.

Limited legacy inputs. No s-video, composite can't be used without disconnecting the component input, VGA has to share audio input with DVI in.

Audio issues:
The speakers are... unimpressive. Volume isn't a concern in my small space, but the quality wasn't very good.

Persistent line noise out of the headphone jack.

Headphone jack in the worst place possible for regular usage. Should be swapped with optical in.

Other Thoughts: Solved all 3 audio issues by connecting a cheap in-line volume controller (Koss VC-20) set to about 85% and Logitech S220 speakers I had around. Improved the sound quality a bit, volume control removed the hissing, and now I plug my headphones in in the front easily. Easy to do, but not ideal to require extra hardware to make it work well.

Other minor complaints or neutral quirks worth mentioning:
Component/composite in uses a unique adapter cable. Makes it easier to swap cables, but susceptible to damage and difficult to replace.

Turning on PiP or swapping inputs takes a couple more button presses than it ought to. Not the end of the world.

Touch screen buttons on the front give it a sleek look, but make it hard to navigate by touch at night.

The clear plastic on the bottom of the bezel looks kinda goofy.

Bottom line:
Lots of minor issues that could be improved upon, but it offers a good picture, a variety of inputs, and an LED backlight and the price was right.

4 out of 5 eggsNot 480 friendly

Pros: - VGA and HDMI PC connections are great (No problem setting colors)
- PIP is re-size-able (regular and smaller) and position-able
- Sound source can be changed from current screen to PIP sound.
- USB media interface for media center friendly
- Crazy bright if wanted
- 3 Auto wake-up and turn-off timers (My new tv alarm!)
- Button-less screen
- Clean and labeled inputs sockets in the back
- Really slim and light

Cons: - Composite/Component is not 480i/p friendly (My Wii doesn't work)
- Sound is as expected and is position behind and below screen
- PIP only shows the TV
- Stand only tilts back (con for me since my desk makes me stare at the Samsung logo...)

- Once again, 480i/p not supported as a tested resolution

Other Thoughts: I was really (and I mean REALLY) disappointed when my wii failed to work on this monitor. It doesn't even mention about 480i/p support. HDMI will only show 720 and 1080 support for native computer resolution support although you can force it to go lower but who would want that.

Note: My VGA input came with a crooked nut screw so I can't screw in on of my vga screws. Rushed product >=[

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: This monitor is slim, good looking, and has a ton of features. 2 HDMI ports plus several other connections. The screen is bright thanks to the LEDs and the color reproduction is excellent. Tons of features make this monitor suitable for every use I have for it. Setup took less than 5 minutes and the longest part was finding my closest phillips to attach the stand. PiP is a great feature and allows several positions so I can watch tv while using my computer. Viewing angles are great, I'm not using their magic angle but the screen does not wash out if you sit much lower or higher. The remote is intuitive and very well laid out.

Cons: The touch buttons on the front do not light up at all, in fact the only light is a small red one that flashes when the remote is being used and stays on when the monitor is off. Certainly not bad since the remote is better anyway, not nearly worth an egg. Stand is taller than my 2333SW by quite a bit, and only allows the monitor to tilt back slightly.

Other Thoughts: I really couldn't be happier with Samsung monitors, my old one was fine but I wanted LED since I sometimes take my ps3, monitor and speakers to my friends house to watch in rooms without TVs or outside, with this monitor I only need to take the ps3 and the monitor. There are features galore on this monitor and an internal manual should you ever need it. I use it for TV, my PC, and my PS3, and it's simple to hit the hdmi or source button and select one and go. A note, if you're using a PC through the HDMI port, hit source, highlight HDMI/DVI 1 (only this one works for PC), press tools--->edit name, and select PC and it will display beautifully. If you don't do this the image is washed out when using it as a monitor. Buy this today, you will not regret it!

2 out of 5 eggsIt's ok

Pros: It's a Samsung. It has a built in TV Tuner which works nice. Disport to HDMI cable with Audio works. Sounds is good, not amazing but good.

Cons: No Network Port, No Wifi.
You can't move the Picture in Picture box to other corners so its always stuck in the bottom right - super lame.
Using the Display port on my T420s to HDMI on the monitor the colors are drastically different then my built in monitor and at the fonts are not as sharp.

Other Thoughts: I'm using this LED screen with my Lenovo T420s with an Intel i5 and Intel HD 3000 graphics and the performance is not as expected. Movie playback is horrible, funny colors, over bright whites and blurry fonts.
