The SAMSUNG S27A650D combines a 1920x1080 resolution, 3:000:1 static contrast ratio and their Mega Infinity dynamic contrast ratio, which makes the content easier to see in any light and reduces both eye strain and eye fatigue. It includes a 4-way Adjustable Stand that features pivot, tilt, and swivel functions as well as VESA-compliant mounting capabilities for hanging it on the wall. The monitor also features D-Sub, DVI, and Display Port, which give you flexible connectivity. By using Display Port and DVI together, you can connect your display to two different PCs at once.
Additionally, you can save electricity and hassle with Samsung's Eco light sensor. By adjusting screen brightness to match your surrounding environment, the SA650's Eco light sensor creates a brilliant visual display while also minimizing your energy consumption. You will benefit from a more comfortable viewing experience that is far better for the environment. Monitor brightness is adjusted to match your ambient light, which ensures that the screen is highly visible and appropriately set for your eyes. So, in a dark room the screen will reduce brightness, but when sitting in a room with plenty of light, it will increase brightness.
Pros: Bright LED display, good viewing angle, motion detection with auto-dimming (if you walk away), nice selection of inputs, even illumination and good color gamut. The monitor can tilt, rotate and is height adjustable. Can be set to increase/decrease brightness, based on room brightness. The monitor runs quite cool and uses little power.
Cons: Viewing angle isn't as good as an IPS (in-plane switching) monitor, but it doesn't cost like one or draw as much power either.
Other Thoughts: I do computer consulting and have recommended this model for a number of my clients. They're always impressed by its brightness and viewing angle.

Pros: easy to unpack. not much heat output at all. excellent viewing angles.
Cons: not free
Other Thoughts: Have 21 of these. All are excellent. No dead pixels. No problems at all.

Leaking light at the config buttons
Pros: Great for longer distance viewing (less eye strain) due to 24" size.
Cons: At the mid bottom edge (at the menu/ config buttons) there is significant light leakage towards the center of the scree - visible very well on dark backgrounds/scenes or when monitor has no signal. That might be caused by overly tightened frame (touch slightly screen and you will see same effect). This part of the screen must have light source underneath (central location rather dispersed?).
Other Thoughts: Light patch extends in two bands (lobes) to the left and to the right covering two soft triangles of ca. 1/10 x 1/15 of screen size each.
