The 20" widescreen NEC MultiSync E201W is a unique blend of form and function in an ultra-slim, lightweight package that is extremely environmentally friendly and packed with features. Pros: Affordable, has needed features pivot, LED... works OK for reading text but not watching movies...

Cons: Viewing angle is weird while monitor is vertical, not as bright...

Pros: #1 Very high quality build construction, look at the construction of the stand/tilt mech./spring. #2 Far less headaches while viewing at long periods of times. #3 It's not the fastest responding monitor but not the slowest either. #4 At no time I have felt the need to go postal nor kill myself, unlike prior reviewers! ;-)

Cons: NONE! I am mentally stable enough to safely use this monitor. No magnetic forcefields from the demons inside of this monitor spoke to me, I'm rather dissappointed.. ;-)

Other Thoughts: Seriously though, my HDTV's did NOT come with HDMI cables. I had enough common sense to order a displayport cable when I ordered this monitor, so my panties didn't get all bunched up like other reviewers! Honestly, this is a great monitor! Too bad it's getting terrible reviews because some people are TOO DUMB to order a displayport cable! DUH!!!!!!!!!!!

Pros: Seemingly good monitor and stand, other than the "con".

Cons: Difficult electro magnetic field. Both my wife and I quickly had bad physiological reactions, including headache and tensed neck muscles, to this monitor, and so will try to find one that is less dangerous. I'm more sensitive than most people to EMFs, but my wife is not. We currently use a Dell ccfl monitor, which bothers me significantly, though not as much as this one, and which apparentlly leaves my wife relatively unfazed. We might have to find a more agreeable led lcd and then use appropriate electrical shielding (and long keyboard/mouse cables).

Other Thoughts: The stand doesn't adjust as low as some, and adjustment buttons were a bit ornery.

Pros: The monitor stand is better then I expected it to be.

Cons: I bought this monitor because it had a displayport connector however it only came with the cables for the D-Sub, and DVI connections.
I definitly wouldn't have bought it if I would have known I'd have to spend an additional 10-20$ just to buy the cable to use the connector I bought it for.

Other Thoughts: If the displayport cord would have been included, this would have been a great deal.
