NerdRad 2/18/2013 10:01:52 AM Tech Level: 5/5 Ownership: 4/5	Rating: 5/5Very pleased Pros: 1) Inexpensive medical grade monitor with DICOM-compliant calibration capability. Excellent grey-scale rendering. 2) Can simulate 2 physical monitors (2 separate inputs) each running at 1280x1600, nothing in between (seamless). PC sees 2 monitors. Versatile for medical image interpretation, i.e., compare new with priors, but you will need to zoom/pan on many DR/CR images. 3) For the usual Windows software apps, the 2-monitor config per above still functions as a seamless 2560x1600 desktop... as if one big color monitor; it is one piece of glass with Windows desktop extended seamlessly across the two 1280x1600 "monitors". 4) You can drive it with an inexpensive video card. It's a color monitor and does not support (AFAIK) extended gray-scale bit depths as do some grey-only monitors that use proprietary cards. It's still medical grade (like the color Barco's). Cons: It's heavy. Other Thoughts: This is the least-expensive / most versatile medical-grade solution for at-home medical imaging work that I have found; essentially providing a DICOM-compliant dual-monitor setup, but also providing seamless 2560x1600 color monitor functionality as part of the package.
