Pros: Extremely accurate colors. A real professional monitor. DOES NOT BUZZ. I use this monitor for professional photographic work. That means I expect the image on the monitor to look just like the prints I get back from my lab. To do this, one must have a accurate, 99+% gamut, evenly lit monitor, with a good calibrator and calibration software. One must also be using a quality lab as well. I control what the image looks like. The lab does not make adjustments to my image files.

Cons: None. Professional grade monitors cost much more than everyday monitors. It is what is is... One can not get professional results from average monitors.

Other Thoughts: If one use an average monitor with 72 or 85 % gamut coverage, the can not expect accurate colors in their prints. The print will show 100% of the gamut. Even if your 72% gamut monitor is accurately calibrated, you are still missing 30% viewable tones and colors.

Pros: Crisp and bright image. Even illumination from side to side. Nice color.

Cons: As another reviewer has pointed out, there is a low level high-pitched sound coming from the display. I could not hear it, but both my teenage sons hear it, and they say it is annoying to them. So this may be a problem if you have sensitive hearing.

Other Thoughts: 5 eggs for image quality, but need to deduct due to the high-pitched noise.

Pros: The screen is bright and crisp. Colours are vibrant.

Cons: Both of the monitors I received (one a replacement for the other) exhibited a high frequency, low pitch sound emanating from the left side of the monitor in the rear. The higher the brightness, the higher the pitch.

Other Thoughts: I've been waiting a couple of years now for NEC to come out with a LED monitor in their Professional Series. It's unfortunate that it has problems like this.
