4 out of 5 eggsPretty good

Pros: I've owned this since 2010, and still use it. 2ms response, 1920x1080, decent contrast, great color - about what I'm finding in 2013, though I'm about to upgrade to LED backlit. Love this monitor though.

Cons: The touch sensitive buttons aren't that great, though they are stylish - after the annoyance of using them, at least they're practically invisible. After about 1.5 years, the bottom right corner of the screen became darker than the rest. It's barely noticeable, and I never bothered to look into why, but something is certainly wrong/broken.

5 out of 5 eggsThree years on and still works great

Pros: Everything about it other than the touch-sensitive "buttons". It pops. It drops. It flops on top.

Cons: The touch-sensitive buttons are annoying; luckily I don't really have to use them. The monitor figures things out itself...which is a Pro.

Other Thoughts: Well worth the money.

5 out of 5 eggsNICE MONITOR !!!!!

Pros: Colors are sharp, response time is nice (I'm a gamer), size was awesome when I turned it on 1st time, I found the controls to work fine & easy to navigate through-overall a very nice monitor

Cons: I do agree the stand could be a little more stable but I'm not wrestling with this device I'm viewing it. Other than that no problems at all.

Other Thoughts: I'm not a high tech person but I do know what to look for in a monitor for specs & buy according to what I'll be using it for (In this case gaming). Anything else I use it for is just a plus, especially viewing pictures. I don't know what kind of surface other people are placing their monitors on or if they have to move it every couple of minutes but maybe they should place it where it wont shake-like on a sturdy computer table/desk. I had NO dead pixels, I was worried because of shipping that I might get a monitor w/ dead pixels but I guess I lucked out. I have built a few computers & upgrade many more. I will definately use this one for my next machine that I buy at least for awhile.

5 out of 5 eggssweet poop

Pros: great picture, 1080p, HDMI, dvi im sure but I dont know because I dont use it. vivid beautiful colors.

Cons: collects dust....also, the buttons on it is are those new touch sensitive buttons that are commonly seen on LG's tvs - hard to see in dimly lit rooms - just annoying to try to find really....

Other Thoughts: i am a designer though so those kinds of 'cons' are bothersome to me. thats why I gave 5 stars. everything should be dust resistant :)

5 out of 5 eggsGaming, developer, designer

Pros: I'm a designer and developer and I'm in front of this monitor for 8+ hours a day and its an amazing tool to have in my arsenal. The picture is crisp, bold, and is large enough to allow me to have two windows open at the same time; one for code and the other for testing in a browser. I can never have enough space, so I might actually pick up another one of these to run dual monitors.

The stand is solid, no rocking or shaking - it's a solid construction. People complain about fingerprints, but they're easily wiped off.

No dead pixels!

Menu's are all touch-based, so it takes some getting used to, but can once again adjust everything in forteManager.

TF2 and the like look INCREDIBLE on this beast!

You won't be disappointed with this purchase!

Cons: Default settings are a bit bright, but can easily adjust through the on-screen menu selections or LG's forteManager (Note: Win7 users have to run it in compatibility mode). It does have auto-brightness too.

I do wish it went higher than 1080, but I didn't hold me back from getting it.

No wall mount, but I'm sure there's ways of hanging it if you wanted.

2 out of 5 eggsKnocked three eggs off for three dead pixels.

Pros: Gigantic, 24". 1920x1080, 2ms response time, very clear, great price, sexy, shiny look. This is the best monitor I've ever seen in my life, no doubt. I upgrade from a 19" and it blows it away, it blows away my 32" HDTV as well.

Stand isn't as flimsy as others say, it just rotates easily, it's also adjustable up and down.

Cons: 3 dead pixels close to the center. I did not notice it at first sine my wallpaper was full of color, but after browsing a white web page, it was pretty obvious. Wasn't too bad when gaming, but extremely noticeable during cut-scenes, and very noticeable in Borderlands. Other games like Crysis, Metro, L4D, Stalker (all three of em), and TF2 were fine.

Other Thoughts: First time ever buying a monitor did not go as planned.

This would be the perfect monitor if it wasn't for these
freaking pixels. Can't RMA it since Newegg has that ridiculous 8 dead pixel policy.

Luckily though, LG has amazing customer support, and will be shipping a replacement model in 7-10 days! I don't have to pay shipping or any stupid restocking fee.

Once I get my monitor from LG, I'll probably give it 5 eggs. Ir really is deserving of 5 eggs, unless it has dead pixels. Not a fan of having to wait even longer though.
