3 out of 5 eggsDisappointing

Pros: Rich colors
Featured display settings

Cons: Failed exactly outside of warranty

Other Thoughts: Despite having cared for and maintained this monitor for 3 years, both HDMI ports stopped working just outside of the warranty period. I have always utilized only one HDMI port, now both HDMI ports display a black screen (no BIOS/OS display) when utilized. Switching to an unused port shows the 'no signal' display but the used port just displays a black screen. I have switched HDMI cables and video cards, the fault lies with the monitor. I have noticed that when connecting a computer to the monitor after a while, the HDMI works but only for a short period of time (less than 30 minutes). I am not sure what the issue is but according to Google others have experienced a similar issue. LG technical support says it would cost $99 just to diagnose. For a monitor that costs $400 and lasted only 3 years, this sure was a rip off. The DVI port still works however.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Bright
Clear
Fast response time
Nice form
Good build quality
Good price

Cons: Terrible software
Harder to calibrate than it should be

Other Thoughts: It has been a fantastic and reliable long term monitor for my gaming uses, but as noted in the cons, the software is borderline unusable. I was able to perfect the color balance using the nVidea graphics card software instead. Egg loss there.

5 out of 5 eggsBest monitor I've ever bought

Pros: I don't know what to say except I love this monitor. The colors are beautiful compared to my older monitor and I use this also for my PS3 and Xbox360.

Cons: The glossy look attracts dust like crazy and the touch buttons are annoying. Not much room to adjust the screen

4 out of 5 eggscalibration is needed

Pros: Beautifully designed monitor with sleek touch menus. It is not that hard to navigate around the menus as people make it out to be. Monitor is very thin.

Cons: I've spent a few good hours trying to get the colors to look right. But I had to resort to a third party calibration software to the settings that I liked. If you can't get one use the settings from your videocard (like CCC with ATI cards).

Other Thoughts: May have to run Fortemanager on compatibility mode for it to work under Windows 7. Also you may have to have the monitor connected using DVI (I had mine on HDMI and didn't work, DVI worked).

3 out of 5 eggs8 Hours with this monitor.

Pros: - Very thing design. Surprisingly lite weight, semi flashy looks.
- Touch buttons are a plus in my book.
-Colors are very vibrant .
- Picture is actually very nice quality. Even in tight areas with high detail it looks very nice.

Cons: - Out of the box it is WAY too cool , everything has a bad blue tint. You actually get used to it while playing but once you look at your lcd tv , plasma or another pc monitor for 10 seconds and walk back, you automatically can tell the difference. Easy enough to work out most of the blue tint , though i am finding it difficult to add a warm feeling into it at all, I will continue tweaking it.
- Wactched Avatar/Ironman on it. I think my 47" lcd looks much better and its almost three years old. So basically im saying this monitor didnt look very nice with a bluray player hooked up using hdmi. Maybe running a movie through my video card would look better, not very sure.
- I am not impressed with the color. It is definitely better than my four year old 22" lcd monitor but not as much as I was expecting.
- I thought the stand lighted up red , it doesnt.. My fault for thinking that

Other Thoughts: I got this monitor for a steal price over the weekend. I actually had my eye on this monitor for 6+ months , now once I have it i feel it was lacking. If i wouldn't have bought this on a super sale than I probably would have been disappointed. Still a nice monitor , I just feel for a led it should have been much more. Bluray playback was decent , looked more like plasma 60hz lcd or plasma " duh".
Just to give you an idea of what games i have played here they are =
World of Warcraft, BF Bad Company 2, Americas Army 3, Counter Strike Source, Medal of Honor, Heaven Benchmark, Batman AA. Looks great, still pleased even though it seems as if i was bashing it. Would def buy for the price. Enjoy !

5 out of 5 eggsMerry Xmas heres your fire hazard!!!

Pros: Big Beautiful monitor, very nice. Early xmas present from my wonderful wife. too bad it died after 2 minutes and started smoking!!!!! and I was worried about the xmas tree. lol this year I need to be afraid the presents are going to burn down the house!!!! happy holidays LG ;) Hopefully the RMA process is good. I would like to go with a safer brand but after paying to ship this back and after a 15% restocking fee for a monitor that could have burst into flames!!! i think i would only be able to afford a 20" view sonic led monitor :(

Cons: Early xmas present from my wonderful wife. too bad it died after 2 minutes and started smoking!!!!! and I was worried about the xmas tree. lol this year I need to be afriad the presents are going to burn down the house!!!! happy holidays LG ;)

Other Thoughts: automatic fire extinguishing would be a nice feature to add.
maybe Kevlar bezels around the screen?
seriously LG ???

4 out of 5 eggsIts OK

Pros: Looks sweet , led , no bad pixels , super thing and light weight , picture is vibrant. Touch screen buttons are cool " its as hard to get used to them as it is using buttons " GOT IT FOR 199.00 ON SALE OVER THE WEEKEND !!!!

Cons: color is soooooooooo off when out of box , i have messed with the settings for about 20 mins but its still off.. WHERE IS MY GOSH DARN RED LIGHT @ MY EAGLE EYE? ? I thought this monitor had a red light on the power button and on the stand... Doesnt match my haf 932 black edition case as well now.. The color makes me angry , i know i will get used to it and i will have to keep adjusting it but dang .. The red light thing is upsetting

Other Thoughts: for the price i paid i cant complain all that much.. Its hardly any bigger than my old samsung syncmaster 226w though.. I should have just bought a 40 " lcd led tv instead.. I thought 24 inches would make me happy , but it hasnt

4 out of 5 eggsGood screen. Bad software.

Pros: Looks nice, very thin.

Cons: Menus are poorly setup. Comes with the brightness at 100%. You gotta turn it down to like 30% to be useable in my room. Im sure some brighter rooms would be around 50%.

Other Thoughts: LG Should take a room and light it like a normal cubical office setup. The brightness on the screen and the settings would only be good if your backed up to a window with the sun blaring in to where you have to wear sunblock.
