2 out of 5 eggsBeware if you intend to use multiple sources

Pros: Beautiful display quality but a single poor design decision makes this monitor far less useful than it ought to be.

Cons: Instead of physical buttons this monitor uses a touch or light sensitive buttons to change monitor settings including deciding which input source to use. This is all well and good if you have the PC or XBOX on, but as soon as the input is gone, the monitor switches to power save mode and won't allow you to change sources, nor is another active source automatically detected.

I am using this monitor on my desk to play both PC and XBOX 360, whenever I intend to turn off my XBOX and return to my perpetually running PC I have to remember change sources back to my PC first or be forced to restart the XBOX in order to change input sources.

Other Thoughts: I can't find any option to prevent power saving mode, which if you're listening LG, needs to be available in every monitor you build, some of us don't care if our monitor sucks a little more power if that's what it takes to make it work properly. Something that allows the touch buttons to remain active when you shut down a previously active source would be really nice, or the monitor could try to detect a different active source automatically.

Also, what's wrong with physical buttons? That would have prevented this idiotic problem in the first place.

3 out of 5 eggsOverall, Disappointed

Pros: Big screen, clear picture, reasonably vibrant colors, lightweight

Cons: Monitor does not go into sleep mode when the PC is powered off; initial configuration was unnecessarily difficult; monitor behaves inconsistently, doesn't always come out of sleep mode or enters sleep mode unexpectedly.

Other Thoughts: I have an LG television and hoped this monitor would provide a similarly satisfying experience. It hasn't. It replaced a slightly larger 28" HannsG monitor and the swap was oddly problematic. At first the monitor would go black when the Windows login screen should have appeared. It took a lot of tinkering to resolve this, when it should have been a simple swap.

Additionally, the monitor does not play well with sleep mode. It sleeps sometimes or acts as though it is getting no signal when the PC is on, and sometimes it won't exit sleep mode when waking the PC. Oddly, when powering off the PC, the monitor doesn't get a clue and enter sleep mode - it complains endlessly that it is getting no signal and to check the cable, requiring that I manually power down the monitor. My old monitor would automatically enter sleep mode when it lost signal from the PC.

I am disappointed in this monitor and would not buy it again. Too bad I missed the 30-day return window from Newegg. Buyer beware

5 out of 5 eggsJust got this - upgraded from a 24"

Pros: My quest began in the wee hours of late evening - the sun was a fresh crimson hue (well, the picture of the sun was anyway) and I was sold on this glorious thing they called a ... monitor ... yes, 27" was the halle grail (for me it was - just go with it ...)LG was its' given name. LG what I inquired further; E2750VR-SN was the reply. Shrugging off my inability to pronounce this exotic last name (what tongue must this be?), I delved into the svelte container to whit it was encased. I extricated LG from her container; it was love at first sight! Her lean 2" depth, her flat finish - her lucious screen real estate. It was when i plugged her in that truly could partake of her total beauty. Winnie 7 recognized her immediately and they commenced to play games, watch movies and scroll through the intertoobs lush meadows. And lo, I say unto you - this is a most glorious day; one of great joy - even through the anti-glare of her ex - 24" mon.i.tor.

Cons: I have found no vices in her; she is most perfect in her beauty. Let no man cast a pixel asunder. The back-light of the morning provided a soft glow with which to bask in her illustrator glory.

Other Thoughts: All kidding aside, I replaced a much loved 24" monitor with this one and I do not regret my decision to make this move. It not only provides me with the screen real estate i need, it offers you RTS gamers out there (SC2 and the like) the ability to expand past, what i felt anyway, is a cramped quarter on my previous monitor (well, of course *you* are not on my monitor - that's just silly) - it provides the room I need to be able to spread out a bit more, yet still allows me to see all of my defenses and various forces I have around the perimeter - it does allow me the chance to see the enemy encroaching (if they aren't invisible - I mean, c'mon! invisible?) far enough out to react rather than sit dumbfounded because I scrolled too late to see the zerg swarm destroying everything I built up. You have to admit, that's just cruel - to destroy a mans' hopes and dreams - with a zerg swarm. Really? geez ...

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Monitor!

Pros: Very slim design! Love the two way stand. I use the monitor without the large base and looks amazing on my desk. I have it hooked up with my Macbook Pro '10 and the image quality is great.

Cons: There are a few adjustments that have to be made to make the monitor look at its best.

Other Thoughts: I would highly recommend this monitor especially at this price!

5 out of 5 eggsBB Led??

Pros: Great monitor (huge). Went from a 19" Samsung to this and let me say it was like night and day. No dead pixels. great mat screen (no-glare???) Oh and did I mention its LARGE???

Cons: Some of the settings leave a little to be desired for but at this price I could hardly complain. Some would say the led back light is a bit spotty.... but I don't see what everyone is on about.

Other Thoughts: It has a two way stand@!@ pretty neat little add on. Also the base turns!

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Monitor

Pros: Bright and clear text, no dead pixels, easy to assemble, HUGE display, HDMI/DVI/VGA hookups, none glare screen was a HUGE plus for me......

Cons: Needs some tweaking out of the box. Once adjusted it looks amazing. I found that putting it in Internet mode helped with contrast and made text easier to read. Would have been nice if it had speakers.....

3 out of 5 eggsMediocre

Pros: Thin, low heat, nice resolution

Cons: Terrible color reproduction. I have a dell LCD from 2001 that looks much better.

Other Thoughts: Disappointed I bought this monitor as my main display, I will eventually replace this with another ultra sharp as a main display. Movies, browsers, pictures all look much better in other monitors.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Monitor

Pros: Beautiful picture

Less than 1 inch thick.

After reading reviews about the brightness, I was prepared and spent some time adjusting it so that it is not noticeable at all!

This is a great overall monitor.

Cons: All of the buttons are touch panel. They DO NOT work if you hand is too cold, which is extremely frustrating.

I just wish they would have gone with the less sexy, actual buttons but that is probably part of what makes it so thin.

Other Thoughts: Aside from the touch buttons I would buy another an recommend this monitor to anyone.

4 out of 5 eggsOnly one small gripe

Pros: Big, bright and inexpensive.

Cons: On/off button is hard to find especially in the dark.

Other Thoughts: I would have given this monitor 5 eggs but took one off simply due to the design of the on/off button. There is no "feel" for where it is and you have to grasp the back of the monitor with your fingers to press it or you'll move the monitor on the swivel. This is NOT a super high resolution monitor so things appear biggish on it even at it's highest res but I expected that and can't fault the monitor at all since it's only 1080 resolution. Overally I'm very happy with the purchase and Newegg delivered very quickly as always.

2 out of 5 eggsrats

Pros: follow up review.

Cons: well after giving the screen a good once over i now see the variable brightness from the bottom to the top of the screen.

Other Thoughts: it doesn't hurt my eyes nor is it overly noticeable but that's not the point. for this much cash this is simply unacceptable. i have lost a lot of faith in LG. things like this show me the lack of quality control. i honestly can not recommend this monitor anymore. my previous review about after calibrating the screen and all should be deleted. : / please do yourself a favor and "preview" any monitor you may be after in detail at your local retailer first. then order it from newegg for their excellent service.
