2 out of 5 eggsGood TV-Terrible Monitor

Pros: It has a lots of different inputs and the TV tuner works well.

Cons: First, the monitor function is terrible. It is terrible for text. No matter how many times I tinkered with the settings, it just wouldn't look clear. Also, the colors are not well represented. I've had several monitors, but none of them were as bad as this one. I should have heeded the other reviews complaining about the color.

3 out of 5 eggsGood TV, Sub Par Monitor

Pros: It has a great TV picture
Very good selection of input ports

Cons: Yes, you can connect it to a computer, but it is not a monitor no matter what Newegg says.

I bought this to do graphics for my business but it isn't usable at all. I have been working to adjust the colors on this thing for a month and can't get them to show properly. I can't get any colors to match properly to what is actually printed out. I've swapped monitors and have no problems matching colors with my HP and Dell monitors.

Other Thoughts: So bad, I bought the ASUS 23" that was on sale this weekend. This unit will be downgraded to a TV like it was meant to be in the first place. I regret everything about this purchase.

4 out of 5 eggsIt is a TV

Pros: -Thin frame
-Very wide view angle
-TV tuner with remote
-Has speakers

Cons: -No cable at all, not even a VGA cable...
-Color is not as good as computer monitors at this price level
-Wobbly stand with a very narrow adjustment range

Other Thoughts: On the package, it says LED TV. So, this thing is a TV, and can be used as a monitor. When connect to my computer with HDMI, I noticed my color is biased to whitish no matter how to adjust, below par as a computer monitor. But as a TV, its graphics is better than many others.
I think this price is expensive for a 24' monitor or a 24' TV. But if it is a monitor and a TV, it is not bad.

2 out of 5 eggsgo for ASUS instead

Pros: I got two of these to move my 40" samsung tv
because I thought it would be cooler to have boths displays.
micro center have the LG2442TC for 139$ and when you put them together they look the same except this one have tv build in and two HDMI port with no cables included.
I would recomend ASUS . I wanted to send it back to NEWEGG but they charge me 66 $ restocking fee and I have to pay about 40$ for shipping.

Cons: clounsy base: you breath and moves like a drunk monitor
cables not included for the price you pay
it feels really cheap
no US support for this monitor
speakers are really bad.
quality of colors isnt for gamers
menu is like any Lg tv ( simple and no too many options)
for the price you pay they should build something more solid and more quality.
if you like quality video, quality sound and solid product
dont buy this cheap build expensive monitor you will want to return it next day.

Other Thoughts: I think, the only good thing I can talk about LG are they're blenders really work

5 out of 5 eggsLike a chimera of happiness

Pros: - I'm not an expert on monitor/TV picture, especially LED LCD TVs, but this has a nice picture. The color is noticeably not as solid as any of my old monitors, but I've yet to tinker around with the picture settings. If I find a solution, I'm happy. If not, then it's still a nice picture.
- Screen is pretty big. Resolution is pretty big, too. Not much that you wouldn't be able to do or see with this monitor/TV. The wide viewing angle helps a lot.
- Headphone jack? USB media? Speakers? Sweet. I like bonuses.
- Navigating through the settings is actually enjoyable. Pictures and text are readable, items are organized in sensible categories, it doesn't hurt my eyes, doesn't aggravate me, and options work when I tell them to work. The on-hand FAQ and help is short, but it's still very helpful for the most common of problems.
- The remote is comfortable to hold and it works really well.
- Setup is easy and quick. Just don't fall for the auto channel setup thing until you're ready to wai

Cons: None of these are worth docking an egg for:

- Wobbly stand. Might be how I set it up. Might not be.
- Can't figure out how to get any other input as PIP. I have DirecTV on HDMI 2. The TV antenna is useless until I can get cable (not out in the country).

This one comes close to docking an egg; I'll leave it up to you to decide:

- Headphone jack is behind the monitor. If you have a nice set of wired headphones and pull them back suddenly or, against your better judgment, get up out of your seat entirely to go for a snack, the monitor is a fall risk. This is the only obvious design flaw in a well-designed monitor. This is easily avoidable by not using headphones and using an alternative method of listening to audio output. But putting the jack on the front panel somewhere would've made a lot more sense.

Other Thoughts: Came home to see my package waiting for me... with a big dent on the corner. Thankfully the monitor still works without any noticeable damage. And thankfully LG packed this product nicely; only a piece of Styrofoam was busted off.

This is not criticism of UPS or Newegg; both do a good and excellent job, respectively. This is criticism against butterfingers handling expensive/fragile items. If you had a bad day, or just fudged that one, then I forgive you. If it's a routine, however, grow some pride in your work. I can't think of any job, be it minimum wage or low hours/overworking, that would warrant me to slack off on my work quality.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat TV as well as Monitor

Pros: 1. Great viweing angle!!!
2. Sleek Design

Cons: It is a bit dark when used for monitor. Maybe this will fix if I can adjust the setting.

Other Thoughts: This is great buy for sub $200 with promotion. I got a huge monitor as well as HDTV!!!

3 out of 5 eggsIt freezes sometimes

Pros: It's a TV and a PC monitor in one. Why don't more manufacturers come up with a tv/monitor combo product like this?

Cons: It freezes a few times on me. I had to pull the power and replug. Still it's a hassle. Do any of you experience this? Let me know if you have it too and what could be the cause?

4 out of 5 eggsIt has frozen 4 times

Pros: Light. Power-saving. TV and PC monitor in one.

Cons: The sound is so-so. Want it to be louder, but even if I move the volume to the highest, it's still not high enough. So far it has frozen 4 times. I have to pull and replug the power to get it working again.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent TV!

Pros: Some things you may not know about the TV:
* viewing angle really is Excellent. Very hard to find on a TV this size.
* tuner is ATSC and clear QAM (cable digital); everything you will ever need.
* has earphone jack on side
* has USB input on side, reads jpg, flv, etc
* remote has many quick access features, very nice!
* front buttons for power, channel change, volume, settings, and input. Very convenient and easy to use.
* thin bezel
* lightweight, easy to mount to optional wall mount
* no dead pixels

Cons: * Wobbly stand
* Not sure how the PIP works
* Not easy to get specs on-line, must call LG for spec pdf

Other Thoughts: Excellent, Excellent picture. OK sound as expected.
Works awesome as a TV or a monitor; switches easily between the two.

Been looking for a TV with these features at this price for a long time. Liked the first one so much I bought a second.

You will not be disappointed.
