5 out of 5 eggsNice

Pros: Arrived intact, no dead pixels, no lag, great picture, bright, LG has a earned a reputation for making good quality products, VESA compatible holes are right in the back. Low, low footprint. When I log off- BAM its in power saving mode, and it does have a headphone jack which is not pictured or in the specs part (ahem). 3 year warranty.

Cons: Please include a picture of the back of this monitor!!!
The stand is a tad flexible so if you have kids blah blah blah. I wish it had an old school monitor plug type for the power. The cord has the bent kind of adapter which goes into the back of the monitor so it puts a bit less stress on the power input plug thing on the monitor. I have had one monitor fail because of this part becoming loose due to the stress put on it by the cord. So the bent style adapter is good but the overall design of the power input connection is flawed. Nothing to lose an egg over.

Other Thoughts: With VESA use the correct screws and be VERY careful installing them or your VESA compatible monitor will become non-VESA compatible.

5 out of 5 eggsBeautiful!!!

Pros: This monitor looks amazing! Picture quality is absolutely top notch. Its great for gaming, not only on my PC but on my PS3 as well. No ghosting at all. Not a single dead pixel either. Excellent choice!!

Cons: This con doesn't bother me in the slightest, but it may be worth noting. The stand is a tad flimsy and it causes the monitor to lean to the left a bit. Barely noticeable. It seems LG cheaped out on the stand and pumped that money into the picture quality. :)

Other Thoughts: I've only had this monitor for a little over a week. But so far I am extremely glad I bought this one. If there are any problems with it in the future I will update this review.

4 out of 5 eggsModel # is correct

Pros: price - will update after receiving product.

Cons: none yet - will update soon

Other Thoughts: @John The model number is consistent with the description. Check the specs at the lg site... it says 250cd/m 2 quite plainly.

Also, the specs both here and on the lg site say it has a VESA mount, which JB's dad says it doesn't.

I'll update this review after I test it out, as I just ordered today. I just thought I'd go ahead and say something to help others along with the purchase. John is just wrong. Perhaps JB's dad received the wrong monitor or LG messed up in listing their specs. I'll report back soon.

5 out of 5 eggsVery nice.

Pros: Large screen, nice and bright, no dead pixels. Attractive profile. Quite nice all-around.

Cons: I don't like the stand.

Other Thoughts: Got this for 249.99 with free shipping here at NEWEGG. Considering price, five stars.

Excellent value.

5 out of 5 eggsWOW What a Great Monitor

Pros: Wanted to dispute the previous review. I bought 2 LG E2742V-BN monitors from a local computer store. A few days later I noticed that Newegg was selling an LG EB2742V-BN for $249 plus shipping. I purchased the Newegg product. It is definitely an LG EB2742V-BN. As far as I can see, there is very little differences between the two models. The EB model has a 3 year limited warranty with the E model having a 1 year warranty. I noticed that the EB model was listed under LG Commercial Division. The bottom line: Purchased 3 LG EB2742V-BN monitors from Newegg for $249 plus shipping. What a Great Deal. Best if all: No Dead Pixels. Beautiful Color.
Thanks Newegg

Cons: None that I can see. Wish that the monitor had a single power cord & did not have a power brick but overall no big deal. Wanted to clear up the previous review. There really is an LG EB2742V-BN Monitor & Newegg is selling them.

Other Thoughts: Great monitor with an excellent picture. Easy to assemble. Monitor stand is fairly stable.

1 out of 5 eggsCorrect information

Pros: Reason for review: according to specs, the 27" version has a "Brightness of 300 cd/m2. It's listed here as 250.

Also model number should be E2742V not EB27...

Cons: Incorrect information.

Other Thoughts: Please correct the info mentioned above.

5 out of 5 eggsCan't Compain

Pros: Did not purchase through newegg but I love the newegg so Ill write my review here. Bought on Black Friday for 200$ crazy deal for a 27 inch. Works great using with a Asus 27" for duel setup.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236103

I was able to calibrate the 2 diff brand monitors to make the color levels the same as I am using Eyefinity for the two.

Cons: Maybe the view angels but for 200$ I cant complain. Doesnt give handjobs also.

Other Thoughts: Id buy again, maybe I will even buy another to complete my eyefinity

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Price and Quality

Pros: price (if on sale), quality, resolution, thin, easy to use, LED back light (makes a huge difference to regular LCD) I game a lot and watch many blue rays and I have no complaints at all

Cons: At $350ish a piece these are too much but on sale totally worth it.

Other Thoughts: I have two of these and both work great, I have bought LG in the past and had no problems for years, I will stick with these

4 out of 5 eggsWorks great - too big!

Pros: Great performance for the price

Cons: Too big for 1080 x 1920! After trying it, I put my 23 inch monitor back on the main computer and relegated the LG to the secondary computer.

Other Thoughts: I think I will wait until I can afford a higher resolution monitor before buying another 17 inch.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent display. Price per square inch is unmatched.

Pros: Great size for gaming. Great price point for a 27" display.
HDMI, DVI and D-sub connections.
No dead or stuck pixels !

Cons: Not the best display quality, but for the price it is a good value.
No VESA style mount.
Only comes with one D-sub cable (knew that, but still a con)
Flimsy base and mount - will wobble on the stand when a knat flies by.

Other Thoughts: Worth the money. No problems, but it is early.
