5 out of 5 eggsAmazing Everyday Monitor!!!

Pros: -Beautiful Colors as it is an IPS display
-The ultrawide res makes this a great monitor in the work world where I actually put windows snap feature to good use daily
-No dead pixels or light leaking.
-Great whites and black and brightness doesn't wash out colors.
-Just a beautifully designed monitor.

Cons: -This is no issue to me but it is not necessarily a gloss display. May bug some people for the $650 price range it can take away from color.
-Stand can seem flimsy at times.
-I wasn't able to handle the response delay for gaming on xbox which is a big reason I bought this.. (again person preference) Now I use this for MMOs and everyday computing and am still in love with it. Had to buy a benq monitor for xbox.

Other Thoughts: -It has been a great monitor for me with no actual flaws display wise. But with all the people with bad reviews on it failing it has me on edge that this one could go out at anytime. It would make me second guess getting it if I had to again. But it is a great monitor if you get a good working one..

1 out of 5 eggsI need to reverse my 5 star

Pros: This is a high quality monitor. Very convenient with beautiful colors

Cons: The quality of the unit is very bad. The first unit got a line from top to bottom after 2 months of daily use. It seems to be a simple contact issue. A little pressure at the top of the matrix will re-activate the line. I decided to exchange it. $600+ device should get a good support, right? wrong.
I sent the unit back to LGE and after 2 weeks of going back and forward I received the replacement. The unit was marked as reconditioned. It came with tons of dead pixels. Started the replacement again. Got the new unit yesterday. Status - reconditioned. Power supply is not the original LG but marked as Samsung, twice smaller than the original, gets really hot. after 3 to 3.5 minutes of running, the monitor starts to switch off and on on its' own. I am contacting LGE. NewEgg declice RMA due to their police. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEVICE

Other Thoughts: STAY AWAY FROM THIS MODEL!

5 out of 5 eggsAn amazing monitor

Pros: This is an amazing monitor. There is nothing I can say, that is wrong with it's features, size, weight, performance, e.t.c.

Cons: In 6 months a line dropped from top to bottom.
A troubleshooting identified that that was not a video card, port or a cable. The matrix itself is a little loose and it seems that the contact to the back plane is not solid enough. I did not open a case, but routed the issue to the manufacturer right away. Usually the issue can be resolved for some time, by a simple light pressing the top corner of the matrix.

Other Thoughts: I believe the issue with the particular unit and not with the model.

5 out of 5 eggsMovies Games Work

Pros: Watching movies on this monitor is quite refreshing because the black bars are gone. surprisingly, watching movies this way is like a whole new experience. Going back to re watch some of my movie collection.

Also great for gaming with wider field of views in most games. No ghosting.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Great color reproduction straight out of box. Usb 3.0 on the back, but you must use the display port. Built in speaker sounds great and not cheap.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Monitor.

Pros: Great for work and games. Before I use 3 display. Now one enough.

Cons: The new games all support the size. The Crysis 2-3, Battelfield 3-4 Dirt 2 Grid 2, Splinter Cell and many more looks awesome.

Other Thoughts: Only 60Hertz. And my girlfriend she can not to look so long.

2 out of 5 eggsproduct mostly OK. LG support non-existent

Pros: ultra wide and high resolution. Lots of features. Good picture quality.

Cons: Drivers flaky. Software for features crash frequently. USB 3.0 hub frequently causes blue screen crashes with particular applications. LG support will not respond to my request for warranty service for faulty Display Port input.

Other Thoughts: Out of the box when I purchased this (May 2013), Screen split did not work. The required software failed to launch or if it did, all options were greyed out. Contacted support and the said the monitor is plug and play and there is no software for the monitor. I asked to speak to someone that was more familiar with the model, they said the same thing. When I asked how the screen split function for the monitor worked, there was a long pause followed by a response that I must download the screen split software and install and then I can use those features. When I said the software didn't work and they just said software was not required and now they are telling me to download the exact software I called for, they said I misunderstood what they meant by software was not required. Now, I am having issues with the display port input just not working. Randomly the monitor with display a "no signal message." And computer will boot to big black blank screen displaying no signal. Does the same thing with different graphics cards. The computer works fine with other display port monitors. I contacted support again twice today (10/14/2013) and they did not respond at all to the online chat I called and was transferred to a message that the number could not be reached. I have emailed them and not receiving any response. I just want a monitor that works or my money back.

1 out of 5 eggsPoor Quality

Pros: Beautiful colors and size. Great for gaming and photoshop when it worked. Great dual input function especially when building a new rig and need a monitor to test with.

Cons: Originally bought at brick and mortar chain store with the blue logo. After 5 months the monitor would not turn on anymore because the monitor had crapped out. They sent me a refurbished one with 1 dead pixel and a smear of pixels which looked like someone used their thumb and left red flashes on there. I didn't mind it much since it was a hassle trying to reach customer service, over 1 week and it took over another week to get my replacement after they charged my card which i had to call them back to refund me. Now the replacement monitor went bad in less than 2 weeks. I have a samsung monitor from 6 years ago that still works. Been through two LG monitors in less than 1 year. WHY!

Other Thoughts: Buyer beware! While it looks pretty it's sure to fade due to technical issues.

3 out of 5 eggsWorked Great at frist

Pros: Looks great and, large paper weight when not working to keep things held down.

Cons: Issues powering up. After going into standby mode for long periods of time it shuts off and does not turn back on - unless you unplug the power cord and plug it back in.

2 out of 5 eggsWorked Great at First

Pros: When I first received this monitor I was extremely happy. It looked great out of the box and setup was super easy. I bought the monitor for video editing / photography and I could have been more pleased. To top it off games looked great as well.

Cons: However six months in and the monitor starts to have issues powering up. After going into standby mode for long periods of time it shuts off and does not turn back on - unless you unplug the power cord and plug it back in. That started about for months in. A month after that it no longer detects a signal. I know it's not the cables / computers I've tried several and the issue is the monitor. I've noticed other owners have had this problem as well. Still waiting for a response. $750 monitor should last a lot longer than 6 months.
