1 out of 5 eggsBuild quality is terrible, this is garbage, stay away unless you throw away the junk stand.

Pros: IPS panel looked great, nice color palette, wide viewing angles, was very impressed while it was working.

Cons: Extremely wobbly stand, no HDMI input. I had this display on a table with a DVI-D to HDMI converter sticking out of the back of it which made it even more wobbly. You can guess what happened next. It tipped over and fell on it's face catching the edge of the keyboard which SHATTERED THE DISPLAY internally. Needless to say I was VERY displeased that it broke so easily.

Other Thoughts: Sucks that I had it for a couple of days and I now have to eat the cost of this piece of garbage. No more poorly built LG displays for me!

5 out of 5 eggsImpressed

Pros: Great picture
Sleek and slim

Cons: Like other monitors in it's class with no bezel, there really is a bezel under the top cover. Overall the effect is great, but it is not 1.5mm from the edge of the display to the picture. I knew this going in having researched similar displays from AOC, Acer, Asus, etc

Other Thoughts: I am really impressed with this monitor - especially for the price. IPS displays are not known for having great blacks, this one seems a little worse than others, but when you factor in the viewing angles and the price, it is awesome.

Last time I bought new monitors for myself that I was impressed with were a pair of Dell U2407WFP-HC's (which I am still using) that cost about $1,500 for the pair. Granted this monitor is a 22", and slightly lower resolution, but you could buy 9 of these at the sale price and still have enough money left over for a nice dinner.

I have bought many other monitors over the years, but never at this value/performance combination. I guess it is just a great time for inexpensive LCDs - being able to get good looking IPS panels in good looking, VESA mountable enclosures for <$150

5 out of 5 eggsGreat monitor

Pros: Accurate color and the driver is available from LG, do no 'generic monitor' & the associated color management challenges. Appears to be reasonably accurate gray scale which is mandatory to achieve any kind of color accuracy.
Individual calibration sheet is nice!

Cons: Included stand has limited adjustments.

Other Thoughts: Fortunately, the monitor has VESA mounts, so using a 3rd party mounting system is easy.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing picture.

Pros: Amazing picture and smooth game play. I run a triple monitor eyefinity setup and was looking for a small bezel monitor. These are perfect with no physical bezel on the sides or top. There is however a 3/8" black area around the screen. I have yet to see a monitor that goes completely to the edge in this price range.

Cons: Not really any cons worth taking any points off but things to note.
The 3/8" black boarder so your picture does not come completely to the top and side edges.
A little wobbly as others have noted.
Power cable a little short for a triple setup I couldn't reach the far monitor without a small extension cord.

Other Thoughts: Perfect setup for Eyefinity or Surround.
I can't believe the price for a triple IPS setup, you just can't beat it. And the color/picture difference you'll have to see to believe.

5 out of 5 eggsNice Monitor

Pros: I ordered the monitor for a friend. It is great. It would be nice if it had speakers but it is still great.

Cons: I should have bought one for myself when they were on sale.

4 out of 5 eggsExcellent monitors

Pros: Great display quality; crisp, clear, balanced-colors, fast refresh.

Very thin and light-weight.

Easy to connect and setup.

Very good value, especially if you can get them on-sale or otherwise discounted.

Touch-sensitive power and adjustment controls (not physical buttons to depress.)

"Narrow" bezel looks great when displays are off or in standby-mode.

Subtle red power indicator looks really nice, not overly bright but still noticeable.

Cons: Touch-sensitive controls can be a little too sensitive, it's easy to inadvertently adjust an adjacent setting in error.

The outer bezels are indeed very narrow (~1.5mm,) but this is rather misleading, as there is still an "internal" bezel around the actual TFT display panel which will leave a ~1" gap between the images on two adjacent monitors. In a 3 x 1 Eyefinity setup, I do not find this at all distracting after only minute or so of gaming, but this is the reality of these monitors.

The lower horizontal section of this monitor is much thicker than the upper horizontal section, so if you want a multi-monitor display in portrait mode (as opposed to the more common landscape,) the displays will be separated by quite a bit of the plastic housing. This is, of course, not the case if you only have 2 monitors since you could rotate them to have the tops facing one-another, but in any configuration of 3 or more, this large gap will be a factor. This issue will also occur if you stack the monitors top-to-bottom (i.e. a 3 x 1 + 1 or 6 x 2,) unless you rotate one/some 180-degrees.

Other Thoughts: I purchased these for a 3 x 1 landscape Eyefinity setup, and they've been just great! Just don't purchase these thinking the display is "edge-to-edge" right up to the thin little external bezel, because it isn't, but the overall bezel (dark) area is still relatively slim.

For anyone thinking of going to a multi-monitor (Eyefinity, etc.) display for gaming (and you have the cash to pull it off,) I have only two words of advice... DO IT! It is a whole other experience and every game I have feels almost new again. It takes quite a bit of graphics horsepower to pull it off, so Crossfire or SLI may be in your future (unless you're running 19" monitors or smaller,) so just go in with eyes wide open and wallet extended generously.

I have no regrets with these monitors so far, and absolutely no regrets about upgrading to Eyefinity, it makes every gaming session so immersive I hate to stop playing even more than ever.

2 out of 5 eggsBlatantly misleading advertising

Pros: I got this on Newegg for $140 ($190-$50 Instant Rebate). Was looking for a newish IPS panel at at a reasonable price, and wasn't shy about pulling the trigger.

Great Color, No dead pixels, nice anti-glare coating (just the right amount).

Cons: It's not nearly as thin as advertised... in their main ad, it shows the monitor tilted at such an angle to create an illusion of thinness. That might be a tolerable amount of deception. However, if you scroll down to the "Super Resolution" photo.. well, that's just total photoshop. In reality, there is a good 1.25cm of bezel. Maybe 10-20% thinner than average, but nothing out of Star Trek like in the "Super Resolution" photo. This

Other Thoughts: The bezel is a lie.
I hate this kind of misleading advertising, it's creepy and offensive, not to mention unethical. Shame on LG for running such a campaign to move a few more panels.

1 out of 5 eggsWow what a beautiful screen! When its working....

Pros: Beautiful color and the resolution is delicious

Cons: Its too bad that something went horribly wrong with it and now if flickers/glitched terribly. It worked fine for like.... 4 days and died.

Other Thoughts: Yeah.... don't get this. While I'm sure this type of display failure is not common, the fact that my first monitor LG crapped the bed and my old (Like over monitor from 2002) still works is really messed up
They both had been put under the same operating strains.
On all the time, constantly playing videos. The old monitor (which I have to switch back to now) still works. I upgraded because 5:4 don't do it no mo'

5 out of 5 eggsBeautiful screen for surround gaming!

Pros: I got these on sale for a great deal so first pro was PRICE!! Thin bezel, really bright vivid colors, crisp picture, no ghosting, no dead pixels, simply beautiful screens, nothing distracting (no led constantly on, etc..) Super thin (not that i really cared about that). I couldn't ask for anything more. This is really EVERYTHING you can ask for in a monitor!

Cons: These are all very minor complaints and i didn't take off any eggs for them because they aren't really issues with the screen but with other parts of the monitors, but i could see how they would be an issue for some people so i'll post them.

The stand is a bit wobbly and it is a bit of a pain to get all three of them lined up perfectly. This is more of a con of my OCD but i find myself fiddling with the monitors a lot and in doing so i hit the touch buttons on the bottom edge which brings me to the next 'con' ...

The buttons are a bit annoying because they are touch sensitive buttons that are on the bottom edge of the monitor and its very easy to touch them by mistake and its not so easy to use them for navigating the on-screen menu. Not a big deal, I'm already used to them, but at first it was pretty annoying.

They didn't come with any DVI cables, only VGA, so that stinks. I knew this going into it thanks to other reviews i read so i just ordered the cables i would need along with them. Like i said before, i got these on sale so it didn't matter paying an extra $20 for a couple DVI cables. if i had been paying full price of $230 and didn't know beforehand, i would have been pretty friggin' upset and would be taking off eggs for that.

Last 'con' is not a con for me, but i could see how it could be a con for some, so i'll write about it. The DVI, vga and power cables plug into the back of the monitor at a right angle so if you wanted to mount this on to a wall you would need to leave a large gap.

Other Thoughts: I bought these when they had them for $40 off plus a code for another $60 off so i got them for $130 each. AMAZING DEAL! THANKS NEWEGG!! I love you guys.

At first i thought one was broken but i just swapped two of them and the one i thought was broken was working fine and the one that was working fine was now acting up in exactly the same way the other one was so obviously a problem with my setup and not a problem with the monitor. The monitor that is connected to the display port on my gfx card sometimes will go on standby when i start up or quit a game and i have to touch the input button to bring it back on. Strange problem but not the fault of the monitor itself (i don't think) because any of them will do it when connected to that port.

Gaming on three of these is simply amazing. my bezel corrected resolution is 5948 x 1080. Thin bezels is a MAJOR plus for multiscreen gaming. Obviously, nothing is ever perfect and all of the cons are really minor gripes because none of them have to do with the screen itself. I didn't buy these monitors for the stands, cables, connectors or buttons; i bought them for the beautiful screens and the thin bezels. At least that's how i look at it.
