3 out of 5 eggsVery good while it worked

Pros: -Price: nice price point for a good projector
-Size: very small and lightweight, I mounted on a standard sized tripod easily
-Display: is quite good when the lights are out; but not so bright for when there is light, however I used it in a darkened room all the time.
-3D: the 3D is good, but is only at 1024x768. Doesnt allow for 3D gaming via my 760 GTX. Glasses were the active type which cost a little more,
- There is no 3D converter.

Cons: - Needs a dark room otherwise will be washed out;
- No auto focus or zoom. Needed to set projector at the right distance for the desired size, which was a bit inconvenient.
- Nvidia 3DTV or Play doesnt work with it due to the resolution and non support. I contacted both Nvidia and LG several time and had this confirmed.
-Died after year of use. I have emailed LG's support and am awaiting help for the last two weeks or so.

Other Thoughts: I bought this as a primary display due to its very long lamp life. I used it about 3-4 days a week for 2-4 hours each day.
It worked well at first, covering all my needs (displaying, connecting to PC and consoles via a HDMI switch etc) and some of my wants (3D was good but no converter and wasn't compatible with Nvidia 3D Play).
Still I was satisfied until it just stopped working one night. I was watching something when all of a sudden the room went dark, and I realised the Projector switched off. I tried replugging into other slots etc but the Projector was dead, not even the Power LED shines anymore. Over all, I probably got under 1000 hours on it, and with the intention of avoiding a traditional Projector because of its 6000 hour or so life, I feel shortchanged.

4 out of 5 eggsNice, small projector

Pros: Nice projector to play games and watch movies on. Picture quality is about how you would expect HD 720p. On a white wall, where I have it projecting it sizes up to about 120 inches diagonal and still looks great. Remote + all the features work fine on the unit as well. Also it is a VERY small unit, I was surprised. It is probably the size of a diary, if that. Has a fair amount of features but I mostly got it for HDMI input which works perfect.

Cons: It seems to come unfocused frequently which is a little disappointing, feels like you have to refocus it each day you use it. Not the brightest projector if you are used seeing a DLP projector I would say this is noticeably dimmer. Still great in the dark though.

Other Thoughts: Overall not bad. LG now has a model very similar to this for only $300 at the moment on Newegg.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: This is a great little projector. While it is very bright for an LED display, it is still not quite up to viewing with the lights on. However, turn off the lights and get the curtains mostly closed and the image on a white wall is amazing. The built in speakers aren't very good, but you can hear the sound. We connect the audio out to a sound bar. I've hooked it via HDMI to a WDTV and to my computer and both work very well. For about &500.00 this was an easy way to get a 96 inch TV.

Cons: Well, the sad thing is that 11 months after purchase, the unit just died. Right in the middle of a movie it just turned off and will not come back on. I suspect we'll have to experience the warranty service.

5 out of 5 eggsWILL do 120hz in 2D on PC!

Pros: I bought this to upgrade from an Acer k11 200 Lumens LED Projector. My K11 has been a great bedroom and travel projector for well over 3 years now but I wanted newer tech and a brighter image. Almost 4 years ago 200 Lumens LED projectors were $400 to $500 to put things in prospective. I got this LG on sale at a local retailer for $450 and its leaps and bounds better in every way.. 5 times the menu adjustments, much like an LG HDTV.. More than twice the Lumens, 3D DLP, TV Tuner, WIFI & WIDI, Better Remote, etc.. But what really surprised me was the fact that you can indeed run this projector via PC at 120Hz in 2D! If you own a video card with custom resolution adjustment like my GTX 770, its super easy. Go to the Nvidia Control Panel and under Change Resolution click on Customize and change the refresh rate to 120Hz. at a resolution of 1280 x 800 (default res for the PB63U). Click apply and thats it! You can easily verify this by looking at your advanced Windows Display Settings. I have thus far played MWO and War Thunder along with a couple of my favorite shows and all look outstanding at 120Hz on my 92' screen..Very little ghosting totally playable. I highly recommend this as a low light gaming and multipurpose platform for all your viewing pleasure. 500 Lumens may not be the brightest LED projector out there but its plenty for my needs and the contrast and color saturation of this particular model is fantastic.

Cons: If I had to dig up a couple cons one would be its speaker. Pretty darn terrible. I recommend either a little set of PC speakers wired to the audio out or a receiver. 2: The fan speed is linked to the brightness level you have set. There are 3. I have mine set to the medium level simply because the fan annoys me on high. Personal preference.

Other Thoughts: The pros completely outweigh any minor cons. This is a wonderful little projector with so many features for every application. I strongly encourage anyone in the projector market to give this one a try. You will have a very hard time letting go of it :)

5 out of 5 eggsSolid and Small

Pros: The projector is very small and light, so it was easy to mount to my ceiling
The fan is quiet, especially on energy-saving mode
LED technology means the bulb lasts forever, so I don't have to worry about turning it off to save bulb life
It turns on and is completely ready within 5-7 seconds and turns of almost immediately. That's supernice compared with regular bulb projectors.
It's got diverse inputs (and I use all of them): VGA, HDMI, TV tuner, and composite
The built-in digital TV tuner works well, but I don't use it often
For a dimly-lit room, the brightness works just fine... except for deep blacks

Cons: The built-in speaker is pretty weak sauce, but I've got all my audio going through the 3.5mm audio out into better speakers
Finding another power adapter has been difficult. I don't need one yet, but I might since I've mounted the projector on the ceiling so the power adapter is permanently installed.
The brightness isn't that great, but it hasn't been too bad of a problem unless I'm watching a "dark" show like The Walking Dead. The picture gets washed out then, even when I darken the room significantly.

Other Thoughts: I picked up this projector nearly new for $350. At that price, it's a steal given how modern it is with inputs and the LED bulb technology. I don't need a superbright projector, so this little guy work GREAT for me. I've used it a TON over the last 9 months and it's very dependable and easy-to-use.

5 out of 5 eggssmall portable projector that works great

Pros: Very small; I didnt realise that it was so small. Can be held in one hand and is smaller than a book.
Great price.
Clean image
Has 3D

Cons: No autofocus. You have to calculate (manual contains information) and adjust size of screen by moving projector forward or backward. With my 6.5 x 4 foot screen, I have the projector about 7 feet away.
3D setup is a pain. I have an Nvidia GTX 760, and this will not be recognised as 3d Display by Nvidia drivers; also will not be recognised with Tridef. However, I managed to play movies only by using Stereoscopic player (viewing: s/w pageflipping).

Other Thoughts: Needs some darkness.
Shows good around evening or with curtains drawn (not tightly); but shows great at night.

4 out of 5 eggsGood, but design flaw

Pros: Good extra features, reasonably crisp image.

Cons: p. 15 of the manual says "Do not block any vents on the bottom" of the projector. p. 17 says you can use a tripod. However, the tripod attachment screw is literally a centimeter away from a vent on the bottom, which guarantees that it will at least be partially blocked. I suppose use a tripod at your own risk, because the fan runs pretty much constantly on this little thing

4 out of 5 eggsSad to see it go

Pros: 1080p Amazing picture for a Sub 500 projector. 84 inches at 9.4 feet. Amazing looking movies, games and images.

Cons: Comes out of focus easy. at 1080 if you have it hooked up to a computer the text becomes very blurry but still legable. had to turn down to 1366x768 for clear text.

Other Thoughts: It died on my after 12 hours of use. Newegg covered free shipping. The projector was out of stocked so they issued a full refund. I can't say that I will buy it again but it gave me a good impression of a first projector. I'm thinking that I'll buy something with a higher native resolution since I am using a computer. Don't get me wrong movies at 1080 look amazing.

5 out of 5 eggsI've been living in a cave

Pros: Small, quiet, rich color, 1080p, built in HDTV tuner

Cons: Really needs a mounting system, so I'm going to get a gimbal photography mount, and mount it upside down from the ceiling.
No zoom, you'll want to use an online calc to see the picture size you'll get.
No lense shift - if it's on a table, level, the bottom of the picture is the same height as the table. My previous projector was mounted on a shelf, so I flipped this one upside down, selected ceiling mount in setup, perfect.

No HDMI cable :-(

Other Thoughts: Absolutely thrilled - 500 lumens is fine in the room we have it in.
Color and resolution are insanely good. Once I paint the wall with theater screen paint, I'll calibrate - but on a 14 year old coat of flat white, it's fine.

I have paperback books that are bigger than this thing.

4 out of 5 eggsPretty darn good for what it is

Pros: Super long-lived, tiny, almost-silent LED projectors are a fairly new niche, and while they don't get a lot of attention due to being thought of as low-end products, it's hard to say no to <60w 720p for less than $500. On a purely technical level, this is very, very impressive, and when my old PJ-TX1000 (2004 MSRP: $3000) died and I decided I still didn't need any more than 720p, I was glad that this new tech had matured enough for me to justify a somewhat horizontal upgrade. Has a coax jack, speakers, and a sleep timer -- very TV-like. Refresh rate is really, really good.

Cons: Fixed zoom (if this is an issue for you I'd recommend getting a ceiling mount, they're very cheap and will likely solve any positioning problems). Colours aren't as deep as I'd gotten used to, and I wasn't crazy about the display presets, but it's plenty tweakable.

Other Thoughts: Smaller and better than you think. Nicer display quality can be had, but not for less than 3x the price (and a tenth of the lifespan).
