Pros: Monitor was easy to setup on my home built desktop. Color displays better on this monitor than on my standard LG widescreen monitor. plan on purchasing another one when available.

3 out of 5 eggsMiddle of the road monitor

Pros: Nice design, vibrant colors.

Cons: Confusing onscreen settings, out of the box picture quality, no dvi, wobbly base, useless manual

Other Thoughts: I bought this on black friday thinking i was getting a steal but there are a bunch of issues that really bring this unit down.

First off, the base is beyond wobbly and feels very unstable.

The settings out of the box were bad. Bad. I initially plugged this in through VGA and then tried to go through HDMI (cable not included). Through HDMI, the picture quality was terrible. At 1080 resolution, the picture wouldnt fill my entire screen and the wide screen option was locked in/grayed out in onscreen settings. I finally gave up trying to adjust picture through the monitor settings and went straight to the ATI Catalyst adjustments which finally expanded the image to fill the whole screen.

I still can't figure out why my gamma settings were grayed out in the onscreen adjustments too.

The manual doesnt actually explain anything and i had a hard time finding anything relevant online.

After 3 hours of screwing around with ATI Catalyst adjustments, the image still feels slightly off. The colors are bright and vibrant and actually good but there's just something off about them. Auto adjustment doesnt work if monitor is plugged into HDMI.

Also, doesnt come with DVI. I dont know why VGA would be there but not DVI.

3 out of 5 eggsDecent if you can get it for 'TFT' cheap

Pros: The price and size. I was able to get it for the same price as the smaller, TFT panel monitor that it replaced. The viewing angles and response time are very good. It gives a kinda accurate and sharp picture if you can get it calibrated well. There's no backlight 'flicker' as can happen in some LED lit displays. Provides 1/8" audio out which can be handy if you don't want to/can't easily get analog sound out of your PC. It has HDMI in so could work out pretty well as a display for a video game console, especially if you use speakers or headphones with that 'audio out' port. Haven't noticed any ghosting or anything like that, making this suitable for gaming.

Cons: If you have the response time set to anything aside from 'low' you will probably see artifacts of whatever trickery it's attempting to perform to make it fast. I definitely see temporal dithering in some color shades, so I assume that this monitor is not true 8-bits per channel. That was disappointing to me as the tech specs mentioned 16.7 million colors instead of the 16.2 we are used to seeing for 6bit monitors. Factory calibration is downright ghastly out of the box, and I'm not quite sure that very good calibration can be achieved with the OSD and controls.

Other Thoughts: This is a budget IPS monitor - not as much better than a TFT as I'd have guessed, but still an improvement. I bought it for a gaming PC, as gaming monitors increasingly move towards faster response time and higher refresh rate, versus color accuracy/gamut, I guess these older 60hz monitors get cheap. A 120-144hz monitor, this is not, but it's definitely nice enough for PC gaming and I could also see it being used with a PS3/PS4/XBox 360/XBone thanks to the handy audio out.

5 out of 5 eggsNice Monitor

Pros: Beautiful bright clear display. IPS, meaning uniform colors and wide viewing angle. Full 1080p resolution.

Cons: No DVI input. HDMI and VGA only. No height adjustment.

Other Thoughts: The monitors seem to have high quality construction. Display is very crisp and clear. Some have complained about the default monitor settings, but I found them to to be fine. The picture quality reminds me of ultra sharp monitors. I only used the VGA connection, not the HDMI, so I can't comment on the resolution issues some seem to be having when connecting with HDMI.

3 out of 5 eggsOverall good value

Pros: Great monitor, lifelike colors, and no dead pixels.

Cons: The monitor stand is not sturdy at all and the monitor itself wobbles if you so much as bump into the desk the monitor is on. The monitor also does not have DisplayPort, which would have been a benefit. It is also a bit hard to adjust and only tilts a little bit.

Other Thoughts: Bought two for $104 each, so I got what I paid. However, I would highly suggest getting something else if you're looking for a multiple monitor setup since most graphic cards only have 1 HDMI port and this monitor only has HDMI and VGA.

3 out of 5 eggsYou pay for what you get

Pros: Very cheap. I got it for $105 when the deal went live and I thought it would be a steal, which turned out to be okay. Sharp pictures, 23 inches, and somewhat great color display

Cons: Very weird setting in the beginning, unstable, and needs a lot of tweak before using. There is a lot of tearing/ghosting during fast paced gameplay/media which can be quite distracting. But for $100~$110, you can't really complain.

Other Thoughts: I think the last sale was trying to get rid of this monitor. I am pretty sure this monitor won't be made or supported at all due to lack of support and quality control. When you buy something for cheap, be sure of the consequences.
