Pros: Great picture, easy setup, love the port replication.

Cons: Only real complaint is that there was no TB cable in the box. Lame!

Other Thoughts: Definitely a great alternative to the Apple Display.

Pros: This is an excellent monitor. Good color rendition, great sharpness, easy controls

Other Thoughts: The sharpness comes set to a default of 5 on a scale of 0-10, and the adjustment for it is buried in another menu. I nearly returned the monitor because I thought the sharpness was so poor. When I finally found the adjustment and reset it to 8, the display was excellent. I calibrate for photo editing using a Spyder rather than the enclosed calibrator, and it works fine. Overall this is an excellent display, well made and very easy on the eyes. I've contacted LG to suggest that the factory sharpness setting should be 8 rather than 5.

Pros: Great monitor. Was exactly what was needed.

Cons: Was purchasing the monitor, finishing up the checkout process and the monitor went unavailable. Called in and was told it was not available with little more information. Signed up for notify. It notified me the next morning, telling me that the price was now $180 more.

Other Thoughts: I love Newegg, but this left a really bitter taste in my mouth. It was like being at the checkout of a store and having someone from the store pull it out of my cart, tell me I can have it back if I pay them $180 more. Once an item is in the checkout process (not just shopping cart), it should be reserved at the price it was sold for.

Pros: I'm using this with my late 2013 15" Retina Macbook Pro - 750M discrete graphics card. Runs just fine. I have the 27MB85Z connected to and daisy chained off my LG UltraWide 34" 3440x1440 Thunderbolt 2 monitor (34UM94-P).

Works awesome - both have full support for Thunderbolt 2. The USB ports on both monitors connect to your system through the Thunderbolt ports so don't need a second USB cable going to the laptop to connect the ports on the monitors. Between my 2 monitors I have 6 USB 3 ports.

Cons: Only CONs are price and their are no built in speakers on this monitor, but thats OK, built in speakers are usually junk anyway. The speakers on the 34UM94-P are actually good duel 5W speakers.. was surprised.

Price, normally $700-$800 .. I got lucky, was able to combine a sale price of $599 with a discount code and get it w/free shipping for $509.. A great deal for a fully functional Thunderbolt 2 1440P high end screen like this.

Other Thoughts: Overall, very happy with purchase. Connected plug and play with my current 34UM94-P LG UntraWide TB2 monitor.

They should update spec's to note this is not Thunderbolt, but the newer spec Thunderbolt 2. big difference in speed (double).

Note; if you use DVI; you need to make sure your card supports it and have duel-link cable.
