1 out of 5 eggsTerrible quality, terrible customer service

Pros: Glass in front of panel. This creates image depth, artificial contrast, and is easy to clean, without worrying about killing any pixels.
I love a square stand.
Has HDMI ports

Cons: Pieces of plastic stuck between bezel. Probably left behind while they had the 4 year old refurbishing these things.
SONY emblem on stand is extremely faded.
First HDMI port went out within 5 minutes. My friend showed up right after it happened and we spent a good 20 minutes attempting to troubleshoot.
Extreme stutter with this TV. Impossible to play any FPS/racing games without feeling like you're blind/blacking out.
Screen tearing at the desktop when idling. This isn't too bad, as i have never NOTICED tearing in a game on any monitor.
I bought the one year extended warranty for $15 and now I'm expected to pay an extra $35 for return shipping. No thanks.

Other Thoughts: I now have a 22.5 inch (yes, they rounded up A LOT to 24") paper weight.
Never having anything to do with Action Packed Inc. again.
PC MASTER RACE
Should have know that a console creator couldn't produce a decent product :/ oh well

4 out of 5 eggsKnow what you are getting into

Pros: Awesome Picture Quality
Sound on the display itself (Even if its not amazing but really what is with integrated speakers?)
3D
Easy Set-up and installation

Cons: No DVI support (Minor issue these days)
No Remote
No Glasses with the Refurbished version
No included cables except power
Gets Hot

Other Thoughts: Cool this thing. Seriously. Or dont and complain later when it breaks. That simple. I advise going here http://www.acinfinity.com/quiet-usb-fans/dual-80mm-multipurpose-quiet-cooling-fan/
Get them, Use a push pull config, push in at an angle, it can be done and pull out since heat rises. Push from bottom at an angle and pull from the top. Look there isnt much to say here. Its worth it if you cool it. If you cant figure out how a USB fan works or how to mount it, dont spend the money. Get something else. We all know it has this problem, kinda stupid to take away an egg at this point since we know it can be cooled in this fashion. Get a windtunnel running through the back with some decent CFM and you wont have any problems. If you start seeing the black out problem, RMA immediately. Do not wait. Hell you can even jury rig the thing with case fans if you need too. just get it done.

1 out of 5 eggsDead . Completely Dead in 2 months

Pros: Price only. Nothing especially unique or above average even when it works 100%;

Cons: Dies quickly, gets hot too.

Other Thoughts: I'm playing email tag with Sony support since the serial number is NOT in their system. (how convenient for them)
I have very little hope that this will work out.

Cons: Only worked for a month and a half.

Other Thoughts: Don't buy. Spend the extra $40 for a ASUS.

1 out of 5 eggsNightmare

Pros: I used it as a 2nd monitor for 3 months

Cons: Died after 3 months and now I have to run after SONY to get help, the fact its 3d wasnt working and it was only 60hz

1 out of 5 eggsBroken with 5 minutes

Pros: Was cheaper from newegg on popular auction site than on the site.
Unit was clean. Looked brand new
Picture quality was fair for the price

Cons: First time I powered down it never came back on. Known problem that ALL of these are refurbed for. Apparently the fix is not that great.

No Remote. I know it does not claim to have a remote but I just assumed it would have a remote. Must use universal remote or PS3 media remote

Other Thoughts: After reading tons of bad reviews I finally bit on it for 99$ and purchased a square trade warranty just in case. It died the very first day and newegg was quick to send a RMA to return and square trade refunded the warranty price.

Dont get suckered into the great price. Just not worth the effort.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Price

Pros: I got this monitor probably about 3 years ago when Sony first was showing it. I paid $300 for it and thought it was a good deal. 3D when 3D was so expensive and 2 pairs of 3d glasses and 2 free 3D games. The SimulView for Motorstorm was pretty cool as me and my brother could both play on the same screen. The color is really nice as it is a Sony TV. 3D is really nice too. I know use it as a PC monitor for my old computer and it works great. 24 inc monitor is just the right size for a dorm room or a PC monitor. The color for Sony TVs are also really nice.

Cons: I had to get a replacement for it 3 months later it stopped working, but I had warranty for it. It does tend to overheat after maybe 2 hours of using it, the screen will blink for like 2 seconds. It is a little annoying but I got used to it. The sound also is not that great, but I mostly use headphones anyways.

Other Thoughts: Sony quality has gone down. I have an old tube tv 32 inch from Sony that still works great that I got in college 15 years ago and a 720p TV 10 years ago that still work great. Sony quality is not as good as it was I have had 2 PS3's that broke on me. The 2nd one broke 3 mos after I had it and I really only used it prob once a week. Sony needs to get their quality control back because the prices they charge are at a premium and nobody wants to pay those prices anymore in this market.

4 out of 5 eggsNice for the $$$

Pros: Dual HDMI inputs, 3D LCD for a great price.

Cons: No VGA\DVI inputs. Not wall mountable without modification.

Other Thoughts: For the price, it's a great screen to use for personal gaming or media consumption. If you want to use it for more than a single person, buy something else. I threw mine in a computer armoire with a PS3, Xbox360 and a mini PC. Great for when family comes over or the fiance wants to watch TV and I want to game.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat deal if you know how to treat it

Pros: -great colour & definition

-multiple inputs

-3d capable

-the price is a steal

-flawless 2d

-has PlayStation3 unique features

Cons: -suffers from TREATABLE issues (blackouts, over heating)

-is not NATIVELY supported by Nvidia 3d vision (there are several workarounds)

-does not come with a remote (works with any sony remote however)

Other Thoughts: I use it as a PC monitor, so here is how I have solved issues with it.

To treat overheating:
Turn on display, use it for about 30 min, then feel the back of it, there should be a hot spot near the top on the right half (right looking from the front, left from the back) that is your problem area, it needs to be cooled by the method of your choice, after I started using a fan the blackouts stopped, just make sure to KEEP THIS COOL as you can and it's smooth sailing. :)

There are several Ways to get 3d to work with Nvidia cards,

Older cards (500 series and under) need to use old drivers (as old as your card supports) and a EDID hack to get it to work (google playstation 3d display 3dt tv play EDID override)
Now, this method doesn't work for current cards but I tested on a GTX 500 series, it worked.

Now for todays cards here are the workarounds:

use Tridef 3d instead of 3d vision

by switching to SBS (side by side) mode I have tested and confirmed Tridef works on a GTX 650, with the latest Nvidia drivers. IMHO Tridef sucks, performance wise, quality wise, but it works.

Now here is what I plan on testing, Current drivers (and thus current cards) do NOT work with the EDID software override, but it seems to me that if you plug the monitor through another HDMI device (like a sound system, gameplay recorder etc.) 3dtv play supports it, this is because these devices (not all of them do this) mask the EDID, so I read around and found that people have been using EDID "fixers" Or "Maskers" to get it to work on all drivers.
personally I haven't tested this but it sounds promising

For AMD GPU users, 3d works like it would from any other 3D tv from what I can tell. you just have to worry about the overheating.

For AMD: Is it worth it? YES!

For Nvidia: Is it worth it? if you have a new card be prepared to spend at least $75 to get 3d working and the heat solved, but that makes it cheaper still than some other 3d displays,

if you can afford another display or you don't want to invest the time to get it working in 3d, don't get it.

Bottom Line for Nvidia:
I use Nvidia, I own it, I have never regretted it. AND it's from Newegg, who has always had great customer service.
