4 out of 5 eggsGood solid monitor

Pros: Good solid monitor. No dead pixels. Crisp picture. Very bright; I run it at 60%, which is loads. Easily switchs from DVI to VGA and back with touch of button.

Cons: Response rate sucks for games and some video. Once or twice it has had a hard time finding an input signal (connected via DVI to a Gigabyte nVidia GeForce 6600 PCI Express Card)

Other Thoughts: Speaker quality is ok, but what do you expect from monitor speakers? I wish it had integrated USB ports.

5 out of 5 eggs

Comments: After reading the comments for other brands at this feature / price point regarding rebates from the manufacturer, I decided to ignore rebate offers and go w/ reputation (at this price point). Liked the first one so much I bought a second. No noticeable dead or stuck pixels on either (though I didn't run a pixel tester). Nice and bright. Colors look vibrant and real in photos +/- 30 degrees on each axis. Needs MS Clear Type on DVI or text is a bit grainy though I believe that's the case for most DVI connections. 1280x1024 DSUB looks great; possibly better than DVI in most respects. Speakers are nothing to write home about but do work and are fine for the office plus produce sufficient volume for kids games. Don't expect much in the way of freq. response. No ghosting that I could notice for action games -- Hot wheels, TMNT. I'm not a big gamer though so don't take this as gospel. Video cards used are ATI Radeon 9200 and 9250 w/ 128 MB so not very high end but DVI capable. Newegg and new UPS 3 day is great though UPS isn't requiring signatures for this stuff. Something to consider if no one is home during the day. Happy shopping.

5 out of 5 eggsLoved it so I bought 2 more for work

Comments: I needed a 19" monitor to do some DeltaV graphics work at home, but did not want to spend the high $$$$ for the monitors we typically use for such work. I came across this Princeton monitor and decided to give it a try maninly because of the price and Princeton's great reputation.

I was so satisfied with the picture quality that I just purchased 2 more for our office staging area to replace some old CRT monitors that we have been using.

The only negative about them is that the built in speakers are terrible and it's a bit of a pain to switch between the DVI and Analog input.

If you are looking for a 19" monitor with a great picutre, great looks and at an exceptional price, this is the one.

On another note, Newegg has been teriffic in quick shipping. I now order everything off of NewEgg.

5 out of 5 eggsThree Year Warrantee!

Comments: This Princeton LCD1950 was a replacement for a Gateway 18" LCD that was about 2 yrs old and had a failed inverter board that would have cost almost as much to fix as a new monitor, what originally sold me on this model was the 3 year everything coverage Princeton offered even if the backlights or inverter should fail, what surprised me when the monitor arrived was the quality and sharpness it offered for the price, no dead pixels or discolorations; this is one terrific deal.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Quality @ Great Price

Comments: I agonized over what lcd monitor to get before I bought the LCD1950. I was going to get a really good 17in with DVI, and somehow I happened upon the Princeton Graphics LCD. 19 inches no less! So, how's the quality? Well, mine has two stuck pixels (not dead) ,and that was the only thing "wrong" with it. I have it hooked up via DVI to my 6600GT while my Samsung 700ift is on VGA - and WOW, is there a difference!! My top of the line CRT looks so dull compared to this monitor. The colors are vibrant and it's easy to find your personal mix of brightness/contrast. So far, there has been no ghosting in Battlfield 2 or in any of the dvds I played, or when I'm watching TV via my tuner card. So, it's definitely capable of gaming. Also, Princeton Graphics has been around for 25 years or so. The combination of the company's rep, the features/performance, and the reasonable price make this a bit of a sleeper hit among the choices you have in LCDs. Bottom line, the picture is beautiful and I'm completely happy with it. Highly recommended. As always, it came a day early. Newegg Rocks!
