Acer AL2216Wbd Black 22" 5ms Widescreen LCD Monitor with HDCP support 300 cd/m2 700:1

Pros: This monitor is just awesome! 22" beautiful display, vivid colors and all. Very simple to plug in and get going. I have had this monitor since September 19 2006 and it is still running without a single problem whatsoever. 100% recommend!

Cons: Absolutely NONE.

Other Thoughts: Awesome product! 7 years and still going! Thank you.

Pros: Never gotten one dead pixel, outlasted 6 Asus monitors, and 2 dells.
No eye strain, I don't get any red eyes, or bloodshot eyes
Works perfect in my medium lit room

Cons: outdated now, but back then, it was probably the best you could buy

Other Thoughts: I wish it wasn't discontinued. I came back wanting another one, rather than getting another Asus or Dell. And Acer hasn't produced good stuff after 2010

Pros: Excellent monitor, used it for a good three years and it's still in use.

Cons: None to speak of.

Other Thoughts: I bought one of these in 2008, used it up until 2011, then I bumped up to a 24" monitor. My friend's monitor went on the fritz and I gave him this one after I upgraded. He's still using it.

Pros: 1680 x 1050 resolution--it was good at the time. Although, a majority of it's use was dedicated to a very outdated PC, it still keeps up (mostly) with my new PC.

Cons: 1680 x 1050 resolution--It's no longer adequate.

Screen tearing occurs at certain points during a few modern games.

Lasted four years.

Other Thoughts: I received it as a gift four years ago, in 2008. It was in awe at it, for it was a huge step up from the from the Dell 14" fatback monitor I was using with my Dell Dimension 3000. In April of this year, I was finally able to afford a new PC. The monitor happened to wait until I then to start dying. It now struggles to power on and, each time I use it, the problem gets worse. I've ordered an ASUS VW246H as a replacement because I didn't want to wait until it died entirely.

Pros: This was the 2nd LCD monitor I ever used after a Gateway model that lasted one year. This one died last month after about 3 1/2 years. I have another that's 2 years old and working fine.

Replaced it with a 24" Asus VW246H for $160 on sale here at Newegg and this Acer model looks better than the Asus.

Cons: Last week I used it it had trouble coming on then finally it wouldn't light up at all. Wish I knew how to replace capacitors as that seems to be the major problem with these LCD monitors. With regrets I sent it to the landfill as I live in a rural area with no recycle programs nearby.

Pros: Reliable Monitor had it for three year lil longer actually recently.

Cons: The power supply board inside the monitor has some cheap capacitors basically they wore out from years of use.

Other Thoughts: When the monitor went dead I opened it up and replaced 2 bad capacitors cost was like $1.88 for both caps, at my local electronic supply store. DO NOT use Radio Shack caps they are cheap. Monitor is Back working absolutely perfect.

Pros: Was a beautiful monitor for three and a half years.

Cons: It's dead after only three and a half years.

Pros: Good, sharp picture.
Nice colors.
Matte finish on the frame.

Cons: -After 3 years it is very dim.
Brightness all the way up to 100 is dimmer then my two
Asus VW224U's at 10 brightness.

-Not very many menu options

Other Thoughts: Overall I am very happy with the monitor. It was amazing going from a 17" CRT to a 22" LCD. Kind of disappointed in how dim it is compared to my new monitors but it is 3 1/2 years old.

Pros: Works; good for the time.

Cons: Has developed a transformer hum recently.

It's connected to my Mac Mini using the display port adapter and after awakening from sleep; the screen displays snow and has to be power cycled to clear it up. Or wake the machine first then turn the monitor on to avoid the screen error. I think it's an issue with the cable. A different type of cable would avoid this.

Another annoyance has been when the monitor is powered on; it displays an Acer logo for a few seconds instead of going straight to the display which is annoying if one is in a hurry.

Other Thoughts: I bought this monitor from Newegg back on 9/28/2008. I'm still using it and typing this on it right now. It's been good. Now I'm updating to a 24" 1080i monitor at a good price. Wanted a bigger screen, 1080i all the time, and no transformer hum.

Pros: Big and cheap

Cons: ive recently hooked two up to run multiple monitors. one is dvi the other vga. They seem to flicker every once in a while, but it could be the video card.

Other Thoughts: colors and viewing angle are good.
